  1. that would probably have been the first time I win in a contest thank you *blushes*
  2. What a corny thread But I'd also like to say big thank you to everybody here ... I love this place
  3. Okay, the stuff arrived all well and I'm at least happy about that. But I'm still ^3 at the damn price... I will not order from Saikosounds again unless I have found a way to make the bank fees cheaper. Getting a credit card is an option, but you may not forget that the creditcard itself costs me aswell! And I don't buy so much that it would rent itself if I got one. Getting a creditcard just for one Saikosounds order doesn't add up. I guess I'll just order from Wirikuta. They are in Austria, offer COD, are not that expensive ... all cool. Only with the stuff Wirikuta doesn't have (and they don't have any of the EPs I ordered ... ) I have problems... ...
  4. Hey, Mike! Did I win something?
  5. Harr, I ordered it right now ... from Wirikuta, so I don't have to pay postage all the way from france... Christmas money, there you go I can't wait!
  6. Musical review of 2006? Well, for me this year is a milestone, because I discovered how much better vinyls are compared to CDs. Many people say you can hear the difference only on good soundsystems ... I dunno whether my soundsystem is that great or just my ears, but I definitely notice a major difference and am now officially attracted more to vinyls than CDs... Some interesting music stuff mentioned here btw. Next time I'm bored I'll check back here and check that stuff out...
  7. pretty strange thing as it does not have the same tracks as the official Shpongle Remixed album... I wonder if there really are new and unheard tracks on this one... anybody has it? or is it just a joke

oh crap, a Tiesto thread! now we have to decontaminate the forum
  9. $25 AUSSIE? that is ... ummm ... LESS THAN 15 EUROS!!! 6 live acts for less than 15 Euros and you DARE even to THINK about questioning if you should go or not - at this cheap price? I have already paid 15 Euros for only one live act. And I'd pay 15 Euros again, just to see Banco De Gaia alone! So get your ass there, I already envy you enough anyway
  10. awww ... I too am always worried that things get lost in the mail That's really crap if things get lost ... I mean, you are the one who in the end pays for something that you don't even get. I'm always so worried ... that's why I hate online ordering ... but sometimes I have no choice... I hope for you that the CD will arrive ... maybe it got lost somewhere in a depot and one month later they'll come across it and send it, who knows... I haven't ordered it yet. That Saikosounds order has cost me so much
  11. Hey, Mike! I'd like to participate! My contribution: before: after: was that done right?
  12. Xavier Rudd - Fourth World I want to be in Cappadocia right now this music reminds me of there...
  13. Yeeha, I won too BIG BIG THANKS! To everybody making this possible! Thank you sooo much, you made my day!!! PM sent I'm very curious about the album

    HELP!

Some Klangstrahler Projekt could fit maybe... (I would have suggested Chilling Matenda, but that might not be your style ... although you practically can't go wrong with anything chill...)

  19. Eat Static... I can't describe what I feel for those guys. On the one side I love Eat Static, some of their tracks are incredible. But others are not, I don't get some of their tracks (it's geting better though, but still...) and seen from that side Eat Static are really not special to me Can't describe it better - I love them on one side, but on another side I don't get their music at all... Don't have this with any other artist.
  20. changing name of general section? why should anybody do that? I don't think it's necessary...
  21. I agree that in many cases it doesn't matter to me who compiles because the music's gonna be fullon, no matter. In those cases (and when it's somebody totally unknown to me) I agree that it's just useless. However, in some cases it can be quite cool. Because some DJs/artists have a nice style. For example if Atmos or Matenda would compile a compilation I'd surely be interested in it because I can be sure it won't be crap what's on there, even if I know none of the artists/tracks on the compilation. I have a compilation "compiled by DJ Seth" (Seth is Setherian) ... I like Setherian, that's why I bought the comp - and it's not bad at all. But when it's just another fullon stomper I don't care...
  22. Well, while it is true that some of the best music is not some of the newest ... and thus I understand what you mean, I'm still the one that eagerly awaits the latest releases in some cases. Take for example S-Range (yeah, again ). There was no sound quite like that before his time. I can dig back into the past as far as I want, I won't find it, yet I'm very enthusiastic about just this type of sound. So yes, in this case I care a lot about newest releases. Or take Etnoscope. Is there anything as tibal and energetic, anything music-wise quite like the stuff those guys produce? There might be a lot of stuff that might head in the same direction, but it's all not quite like it. So yes, I'm eagerly awaiting their newest album. Same was with Carbon Based Lifeforms' new album (yes, planning to get that one soon, now I have spent all my money on Saikosounds ). There's nothing quite like them. I can listen to Jean Michel Jarre, but this music is not a substitute. It's something different just in the same way as CBL are not a substitute for Jean Michel Jarre for me! Old stuff is surely nice ... but it's better when something new comes out. Because the old stuff, it doesn'trun away from me, I can tumble over it a week later too ... but new albums, when they are not released they not gonna be released and I won't ever be able to come across them...
  23. Front Line Assembly - Mental Distortion I chose this one because it's one of their best tracks IMO (and because it's currently playing - I'm listening to the Monument album thing right now). Aggressive, fast, distorted yet rhytmic and with a lot of progression and good synths and electronics - industrial EBM at its best for me
