  1. Not really. There is not that much psy from Austria anyway...
  2. As I had 3000 posts I didn't even notice it... I noticed it at 3008 ... "oh, custom title time"
  3. I might check that out... btw ... the cover looks very nice
  4. whenever I buy one or many CDs I make a pile of them on my table and only put them in the shelf when I have listened to them once...
  5. unfortunately some of them do UNFORTUNATELY
  6. this is awesome! and actually pretty simple as Stalker explained it... cool
  7. yes. no. no.
  8. I think he means birth year of the artists ???
  9. I would buy a mixtape any time if I could - if it was a good one. And not only mixtapes ... I also still buy real albums on cassette tapes (legally released ones, not illegal copies!). Last week I found Front Line Assembly - Monument cassette tape (still sealed) for 4,50 Euro...
  10. heh ... I didn't mean it this way I meant the way chicks are dressed. Overall dress trend in clubs that play house music is more "elegant" - although "elegant" isn't the right word ... but I mean that on house gigs there is the tendency that chicks are more dressed up, you know ... and actually not only the chicks, but the male audience too - ... I mean, one can't generalze everything like that, I know, but the overall trend is certainly visible. House style is rather dressed up, Trance/Techno style is rather chav and Psy style is rather hippie. Exceptions everywhere of course - and of course this should in no way be a generalisation
  11. but the Yahel cover is gay, say what you want
  12. Car-bon-Ba-sed-Li-fe-Forms 7 syllabnles magic number check it out ... can't mention this often enough
  13. depends on various otehr factors too but in general: yes, 128k is lower than CD "192 is like CD" people said years ago meanwhile I'd say 256k is like CD, but 320 is optimal
  14. there is a way to distinguish house from trance from other music stuff: look at the chicks believe me
  15. Old Koxbox was great new Koxbox ... mmmmmmmh ... I dunno too much of it to be honest, but mmmmmh ... on the first listen it's not as good as the older stuff.
  16. I don't see what is SOOO bad about this cover. It's nothing great by any means, but it's not that bad. The concept idea of a hippie bus serviced by hot chicks is a symbol of the downgoing and the commercialisation of the true hippie/goa spirit ... and that's an intelligent idea. The drawing is somewhat unskilled though ... but the essential idea is not that bad.
  17. S-RANGE - SPACE and for psy-ambient: CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS - HYDROPONIC GARDEN those two are a must IMHO
  18. oops, me too
  19. that Analog Pussy cover has something intelligent about it though... AP are too witty to just plainly make a stupid cover with nothing behind it. They did this with a clear intention. And this makes the cover not gay or bad at all...
  20. not only you hope that many people here prefer a fuller blow musically ... this is the first time I'll see ambient/chill artists here in Austria ... maybe we had a few of them before already, but it can't have been much... But I don't care ... I'll be there, front row
  21. We've got this two day festival ... I mentioned it already somewhere ... but I didn't mention that SOLAR FIELDS and AES DANA both will be playing live on the chill floor! That's going to be a marvellous night! Starting off with ambient soundscapes right into the next year ... I can't wait
  22. hmmm ... that's difficult as some artists change their style S-Range for example ... every passionate progressive listener would probably get a heart attack when he/she hears what this guy is producing nowadays ...
  23. Ethereal... that's a packet sniffer, right?
  24. S-RANGE - Live At The DNA Lounge (7-12-2003) Soon, soon, soon I'm going to see that really live
  25. yes, that's true We have a bar called "Chill Out" here ... the last time I have been there (mostly it's all chock full because many people go there ) they had a DJ spinning slow house-ish and progressive chill music ... haven't heard psychill there, but it was very nice, I liked it a lot! When you don't go into the "mainstream" party bars in our town (where there are too many stupid kiddies and chavs anyway) you will find that there are some of them that play quite good music - that's ranging from black metal to electronica and chill out, you just have to know where to go
