  1. I really like that track too! It's kind of amazing they got it that loud in the first place without ugly distortion.
  2. Oh yea definitely! The way the melodies work in and out throughout the songs make it very trancey and subtle. Like I said, it's always been Emanuel's style so I couldn't say Nemesis is all that different from the rest of his work. I don't know sometimes I just crave more clearly defined songs with more of a set up and pay off. Nebula Meltdown has a similar style, making slight changes throughout each song, but I get the feeling Nemesis is directionless where as Stardust Chronicles takes you on a nice journey. Maybe I just need to give Nemesis a few more listens with a different mind set. It's not bad! His production is always amazing, it's just a personal preference.
  3. Well there are plenty of melodies, but Emanuel's songwriting leaves a lot to be desired, at least for me personally. Fade-in, cutoff/resonance sweep, fade-out, repeat over and over. None of the melodies are compelling because they just come out of nowhere with no focus. Style? Sure, I'll give it that, it's kind of always been an E-Mantra thing. However, I'm not so sure I would be dancing to this stuff once I realized after the third song that there's no explosion or energy to it, just restless plodding compositions.
  4. Perfect soundtrack for my train ride home from work, perfect soundtrack for my summer. Thank you so much for this everyone! I have a really bad cold with laryngitis at the moment but this just brightened my day.
  5. Radi, I sincerely hope that what you create is an act of personal self expression and that you draw personal satisfaction out of it whether others have accepted it or not. That is all that really matters in the end, in my opinion.
  6. The album title obviously means that once you spin every song ten times, your CD unlocks the hidden third Hallucinogen album and a hologram of Simon Posford appears inside the sun on the album cover.
  7. Someone, somewhere out there is saying 'ewww melodies' and then they get all excited for the part with the triplets...
  8. I love how you took the time to make that graphic Richpa.
  9. That's funny you mention that actually trancedigital. I was playing Mindsphere's 'Depths of Consciousness' at work the other day and I my coworker wanted to listen to what I was listening to. So she puts the headphones on and says "Oh you're into dubstep!" And I was like... noooooooo... but not so meanly. And then I laughed. What does genre mean when people don't even bother to understand the differences?
  10. Well, it's pretty easy to imitate someone else's ideas... unless you don't know what you are doing.
  11. The guys from Cosmic Dimension obviously knew that I've been listening to Gateway Eight a lot lately.
  12. As far as we know from Anoebis, yes there are still plans for a new RA album this year, although they are taking their time with it so maybe sometime next year at the latest, hopefully.
  13. Watch any movie by Michelangelo Antonioni. All of his movies, Red Desert being my favorite, just drip with existential dread over people's inability to truly communicate our feelings, trapped in lives we never meant to live. As for books, you can never go wrong with Jean Paul Sartre and the rest of the absurdist artists.
  14. Sorry, wrong side of the country. Besides, without a car it's really too difficult for me to get to any festivals anyways. I wish you luck though!
  15. When I was a teenager I used to fall asleep listening to regular plain old Trance, back when I was less cynical and could be moved by its pretty synths.
  16. Wow! So awesome to see you guys coming to the United States! Hope it's as successful as it sounds.
