Stop raping Hoffman plox - horrible artwork, however, congrats to Imba and Nemesis for another release (not being my favorite type of Goa tbh) -

Story goes: Apart from my music projects, I’ve been practicing and studying audio engineering and mastering process for several years now. In the beginning (how it usually goes), I mastered my own netlabel releases, as well as engineered, mixed and mastered some other tracks and EP’s for my colleagues, mostly the releases for Diggarama netlabel – DraCo, bLURiX, PsiloCybian etc. It was all amateur and enthusiast work, of course. As the knowledge accumulated and my ears sharpened over the years, from 2009 onwards I’ve been doing quality mastering with professional approach for digital releases – trance, techno & downtempo music mainly. Since the creation of Neogoa label in 2010, I’ve been their official mastering engineer, also mastering other various releases (independent and otherwise) on demand by other artists. Also, I must mention that I’m against the “loudness war” that’s been going on for years now (not to mention getting worse), where tracks are over-compressed, maximally limited, EQ gains are high in the sky and, finally - you get a brick wall of a waveform that sounds like… Well, semi-articulated noise. I know that today’s tech can allow you, with a little bit of knowledge, how to make tracks extremely loud (up to -6dB/RMS average) without sounding distorted, but either way, they WILL sound flat and with no dynamics at all. Contact me: So, if you’re an indie record label without a “tech guy” and you want your releases to sound crisp & powerful, or you’re an artist with a record mixed & waiting – contact me by email if you’re interested in affordable, yetquality mastering that will work perfectly on every home or club soundsystem. When you send me the material you want mastered, I’ll provide you with a clip of mastered versions – if you like what you hear, we can then arrange all the details. Requirements: 24bit/44kHz (at least, preferably 96kHz) WAV or AIFF file, with no effects on master channel whatsoever, with average loudness of -18 to -15 dB/RMS (K-14 standard), and with at least 3dB headroom in the waveform. Res, non verba: here are several WAV clips of mastered tracks provided to give you some grasp of the sound. You can preview the tracks (SoundCloud compress’ files to lower quality MP3) or the download original WAV formats (recommended). Of course, bear in mind that I’m no magician and that I can’t fix a bad mixdown. I can add some cosmetics and make it passable to the ear, sure, but a GOOD mixdown is the key to a good mastering afterwards! http://soundcloud.co...ering-excerpts/ Website: http://www.deimos-soundlabs.com/ Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/deimoslabs Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/deimos-1 E-mail: contact@deimos-soundlabs.com

I'm starting a new topic here as an introduction to a second phase of my work/vision of nowdays Goa trance music and art. As some of you know, I've been involved with this kind of music with Neogoa net-label /website and all of that stuff was published and released through Ektoplazm website for free. During the last year we released and published 10 hours of Goa Trance and Ambient music that has been presented on 5 compilations and 7 EP's. In 2012, with Graviton project I'm gonna try to deliver high quality Goa Trance and Ambient music with strong focus on darker/sci-fi themes. At this moment we already got a deal for one album and EP which are scheduled for 2012. Here I will post all updates, news and all Graviton related stuff. If you got any question, or simply wanna send your music to me, don't hesitate to get in touch via: WEB: http://www.gravitonrecords.co.cc EMAIL: gravitonrecords@gmail.com SOUNDCLOUD: http://soundcloud.com/graviton-records FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com/gravitonrec

Sevdalinka is a traditional genre of folk music from Bosnia and Herzegovina. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fXy078xH0k Sevdalinka is popular across the ex-Yugoslavia region, especially in Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. The actual composers of many sevdalinkas are unknown. In musical sense, sevdalinka is characterized by a slow or moderate tempo and rich harmony, leaving a melancholic feeling with the listener. Sevdalinka songs are very elaborate, emotionally charged and are traditionally sung with passion and fervor. The combination of Oriental, European and Sephardic elements make this type of music stand out among other types of folk music from the Balkans. The singer will often impose the rhythm and tempo of the song, both of which can vary throughout the song. Traditionally, sevdalinkas are women's songs, most addressing the issue of love and longing, unfulfilled and unfortunate love, some touch on a woman's physical desire for her loved one, and some have comic elements. Currently they are often performed by men as well. Traditionally, they were played without any instruments, hence the elaborate harmony. Modern interpretations are followed by a small orchestra containing accordion (the most prominent), violin, nylon-string guitars and/or other string instruments (occasionally), flute or clarinet (occasionally), upright bass, snare drum. In between theverses, an accordion or violin solo can almost always be heard. The most prominent performers (singers) of sevdalinka in the 20th century are Zaim Imamović, Asim Brkan, Beba Selimović, Hanka Paldum,Himzo Polovina, Meho Puzić, Safet Isović, Silvana Armenulić, Zehra Deović and Nada Mamula. Although sang mainly by traditional Bosnian singers, sevdalinka has made its way to many "mainstream" musicians. Sevdalinkas were re-recorded by Josipa Lisac (she recorded Safet Isović song "Omer Beže"), Željko Bebek ("Da zna zora"), Ibrica Jusić (he recorded a whole album of sevdalinkas in 2003 named "Amanet", and in 2008. called Amanet 2), Jadranka Stojaković and Zdravko Čolić or taken as a basis for few songs by Johnny Štulić (his band Azra was named after a verse from a sevdalinka song). In 1990s a band Mostar Sevdah Reunion was assembled in Mostar and in early 2000s they became widely popular on world music scene receiving high awards for their lively interpretations of sevdalinkas and introducing many people outside Bosnia to sevdalinka.

In my opinion Pathfinder is still one of the best Goa Trance albums released this year, production is much clearer and even more polished than on Arcana. Difference is probably in the concept, I got feeling that this one is some sort of ''Best of E-Mantra'' with more style diversity, from typical E-Mantra sounds, to more melodic Eleusyn style, to pure downtempo. I enjoyed the most first 4 tracks on this CD and last two downtempo ones. My rating would be 8/10

Aerosis tune (Zen Hyperbabble) is written and produced by Bobby (without Jeremy) and it is one of my favorites, you gonna like it I'm sure, aswell as the first part/cd which is more darker/experimental oriented Goa. Thanks for that Penzo, I always try to present music and art in best possible way and I'm doing it with passion. Never took any marketing or any PR-related course or education, however I worked few years in my hometown in one club as a guy who is doing bookings for bands, dealing with terms and expanses, creates and designs flyers, posters and all that stuff.- 41 replies

I actually like Man Machine work, he released an album on Ovnimoon a year ago if I'm right. There is also some great stuff on Master Blasters album which came out this year on Nano Records. Both of thoose albums got nice vibe, they are not overflooded with melody but still got some. I'm gonna check some other albums in my collection and if I find something suitable, will post it here. Cheers

VA - Goa Overdose 2 (UAFR025)
Richpa replied to Imba's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I recommanded few times already Deimos services to Imba if I'm right, he's professional plus his studio is probably the most affordable at the moment. However, GO2 is good, not my favorite type of Goa trance but there are few tracks that I like. Glad to see first official release from Lunar Dawn, hopefully guys you will complete soon your collaboration project!- 33 replies
