I played this game few years ago on one lastFM forum board and it was really fun, so why not try this on Psynews aswell. The rules are simple, topic starter (in this case me) suggests 5 different psytrance/goatrance/chillout/etc projects and next person must kick out one project (that he thinks it doesn't deserves to be among thoose 5) and replace it with one new entry, and same thing goes in circle for a one week and the winner is project who kept longest entry in top 5 during that week. There are few limits and rules: - you can post in this topic only 3 times per day - you can't suggest same project/artist in 1 week period - latest reply in period of one week starts new entry with 5 new projects/artists - if two players post in same time, post which is above counts - try to use bold option for your new entry This is example: Person A Logic Bomb Alien Project Parasense Beat Bizarre MFG NEXT POSTER: Person B Logic Bomb Prometheus (new entry) Parasense Beat Bizarre MFG kicks out Alien Project and replace it with new entry NEXT POSTER: Person C Logic Bomb Prometheus Absolum (new entry) Beat Bizarre MFG kicks out Parasense and replace it with new entry So, let's play. Here is first 5: Andromeda Hydrophonic Talpa Son Kite Ypsilon5 This round ends 31.05. at 00:06 (CET+1) First week results: #1: 49 - Etnica #2: 27 - Cosmosis #3: 18 - Sandman

My advice is to open all posts that you want to quote in multiple tabs and just C/P lines of texts into your first tab, something like this
Text you want to quote

Text you want to quote
And so on. Anways its the best solution if your MQ doesn't work

It's alright

Yeah, it's more on darker side of Goa trance and there is a lot of twisted melodies and effects, so it should gain attention of darker goa trance lovers, I think. However, please don't mind (on some parts) louder and unmixed samples, I'm gonna post mastered previews 2-3 weeks before it goes out so you'll have a more clear picture of this baby.

Dear Procyon, I don't see how did you figured out that I'm taking this personally, especially I don't see any connection between discussion about format quality and releases classification with Neogoa activites or it's own destruction. WTF? I was talking about bad quality of YouTube releases and suddenly we're speaking about secret and evil agenda against Neogoa netlab. I'm going into bankrupt with every new release, nothing has changed, move on.
-
Invisible or not, that isn't a reason to turn over my ass and start doing it on much easier way(s). Well, I know a lot of people who actually like to see nice cover artwork (including myself), with proper informations, tracklist, some text about author in it. I don't see reason why should people stop doing cover artworks for something that is a digital release. Actually I'm planning to do complete Neogoa (netlabel) releases design in CD format for people who are burning thoose CD's so they can print CD cover and have it as some kind of CD. You're ripping music from YouTube, discussion about quality should end here. Maybe it sounds nice on your homespeakers, be my guest and try it out on proper soundsystem on some outdoor party I'm finding myself more as a user than as a label menager. Everybody who likes music should aim for better quality, even if it's all about free stuff.

Offcourse it doesn't matter, my post was written in sarcastic tone and I just pointed out how ridiculous was fact when Procyon classified and pointed out some youtube releases as something that can be found in mentioned list. I'm not saying that there isn't great stuff on youtube or on soundcloud, for Christ sake, I'm discovering every day something new and interesting, but that can't be classified as release. What would be if we start searching every corner on the internet (youtube or soundcloud) and start to count all of thoose tracks as releases? There is a line between something professional and something that isn't, that line sometime is very thin, but it exists and that's why labels exists, that's why artists exists and that's why people who love music follow one or another. Self-Released stuff is something different, if it got all mentioned stuff (proper mastering, proper cover artwork, promotion, way of distribution) than (in my humble opinion) it is a release, but some random tunes uploaded on YouTube without proper informations, cover artwork, mastering is just a ''my best YouTube hitz''.
-
I don't know why am I spending a lot of time and money on mastering, promotional activites, doing cover artworks and banners, dealing with Ektoplazm/publishing, contacting people for promotional reviews? I was such a fool, I should simply use Youtube and upload music on it & tell to artists that that method counts as release aswell (based on latest Psynews standards).

Oh my, my deepest appologies, I totaly forgot about it. Just need some good CD rip program and I'll rip it asap.

Artist: Javi Album: The Aural Exciter EP Label: Neogoa Release date: 02.07.2011. Format: Digital Website: Neogoa Samples: Download: Here Warm and sunny days are finally here, and as the summer is bringing us more joy, we have decided to honour the lovers of Goa Trance with more interesting releases which will surely bring a lot of new energy on the dancefloors around the world. The first release to come is the debut EP by Javi (Jonas Slosse, Belgium) who had already participated on V/A - Pantheon with his wonderful track, "Into The Vortex". His interesting work was noticed by our label, which made us decide to make another collaboration with this talented artist. The final product of that collaboration is "The Aural Exciter" EP, which will surely be loved by those who prefer a little bit darker Goa Trance sound, spiced up with forest atmosphere. Tracklist: Wie Een Put Graaft Voor Een Ander Heeft Flink Gewerkt (07:23) [147 BPM] Something Is Crawling (06:11) [145 BPM] The Forest Masters (07:36) [144 BPM] All tracks written and producedby Jonas Slosse Mastering by Igor Čeranić Cover artwork and graphic design by Ivan Parić.

Bump! Geez, it's almost impossible mission to get in touch with this guys. I contacted them through myspace and email, even tried to contact people on facebook with same names from Switzerland, but with no results (yet). However, still believe that they're not so often on the internet and maybe not checking their email, but if anything comes out I'm gonna be more than happy to report are they still into music or does they have project files of their works. Anyways, here is some useful download links that I found on some russian website so all of you who still doesn't have their stuff this might be useful: Imperial Project - Remote Viewing (2001) Imperial Project - Vimana (2001) Imperial Project - Gaia Spirits (2002) Imperial Project - White Label (2003) Various Artists - Goa Syndrome (2001) Various Artists - Goa Syndrome 2 (2001) Various Artists - Goa Syndrome 3 (2001)

Offcourse there is a lot of great tracks, just take a look at soundcloud/reverbnation pages of many artists, you can preview a lot of stuff or even listen to full tracks, but they're not official releases so I can't count something from youtube or soundcloud as a release, that is simple logic. Self released material from Red Gravity or Xervana is other thing, they released it through their websites as a complete material with proper cover artwork, decent mastering and it got some concept. Best of my youtube tracks isn't a release.

Thanks for sharing this one, really enjoying in your latest works. Continuum is great, but still my favorite so far is Neurotrip, hopefully more similar stuff will follow!
-
It's OK In my case, finding a quality stuff sometimes ends in soundcloud/unreleased/free music areas, so that's why I added few of them in TOP 10. Hopefully some thoose will be released soon! Cheers
-
Indeed I always try to post honest tracklist and include tracks that I'm really enjoying, so I don't see anything wrong with it, after all it's about discovering new music and new stuff, so I mentioned few tracks which are released during May (some of them are free) so people can check what's all about (even there is * mark for thoose) . A lot of unreleased tunes can be found at soundcloud profiles from various projects, all you need to do is to look and follow thoose artists. Why don't you post your favorites instead of being witty
