Thanks Mars, when I started with artwork for compilation, my idea was to do a something psychedelic enough and always when I work something with fractals my inspiration comes from Helium and Phototropic covers, my favorite ones from an old era. I guess that cover and (musical) theme of this compilation are the similar, which was my goal And yeah, love that good old PGC covers too ))

Wow, what can i say after all great and positive feedbacks that we received so far. I must be honest with you guys, whole thing started without any resources, but with a lot of good will and positivity we brought this one to finish line. It was a great experience to work with all this great musicians, really great dudes with a huuuge talent. Some of them are well known, some others will show their full potential soon, but what is good for NEWSCHOOL goa trance movement - we GOT great projects and artists and we all must cherish their talent and magic. Neogoa webportal/netlabel/database (you name it) is just an idea from a guy who loves this kind of music. After few months of researching I've decided to do a journey for people who also enjoy in this magic, so Dimensional Gateway and whole Neogoa thing is a product of that. We'll continue with our holy mission, and that is: - PROMOTION of every LABEL and NETLABEL - PROMOTION of every ARTIST and DJ - PROMOTION of every RELEASE For now there is few people that work on our website, doing a reviews, supporting us with great suggestions, but I wish that even more people join in this project, so don't be shy, we are OPEN for anything And yeah, I must mention some people here who did their best for DG and Neogoa, with their work and support: First of all big thanks to my mastering guy and a great artist - Igor Čeranić (Perfect Blind/Deimos) who did an awesome job with mixes and gave them new shine , to Mirza Aljić (Arronax) who supported Neogoa from very own beginning with ideas and mindblowing track (with Christophe Grossel (Somnesia) BLACK HOLE wow!, to Alexander (Basilisk) and Ektoplazm guys for publishing this V/A, guys you're the best! Also, big thanks to Saša Dukić (Screw Loose/Psilocybian) for support and advices, and a great tune. Shouts to Ali (Mindsphere), he did a great remix for one of the best newschool tracks, It was a honor to work with him, can't wait for his second album, new previews sounds awesome. Huuuge thanks goes to Brazil for Bruno (Astrancer), maaan I love his music, he is probably my favorite newschool act and when I first time heard Tetragrammaton I wet my pants, I'm really looking forward to work with him on a new EP. It was pleasant experience to work with Dmitry from Sky Technology. This guy is in my humble opinion one of the best newcomers around, his style is simple - pure psychedelic goa trance. Can't wait for his full lenght! Neighbors Oswald (PharaOm) and Simon (Antares) also did a great job with their tunes, Oswald really hits theme of the compilation with his outstanding Cellar Door and Simon gave one of his epic oldies - love that tune BSF aka Luis Pabon, also guy with huuuge potential participated with his unreleased tune and what can i say - man I'm in love with your style, keep it psychedelic! Wow, did i forgot something? Yeah, also i must thank to all guys who sended their tracks and which wasn't released. I'll give my best to bring them out in 2011! Big thanks goes to Mdk for doing a review for compilation and for support that he gave to Neogoa project! And yeah, thanks to all people from Psynews that supported this (on Neogoa and Facebook)! Regards, Richpa

I don't have experience with Wordpress so i can't speak about it, maybe Basilisk can tell us little more about it (afaik, Ektoplazm got wordpress engine, and works great. Speaking about Joomla, yeah it's a bit complicated when you first start with it. There is a bunch of modules, some of them are active when you log in as a administrator. If you decide to use Joomla for the first time, my suggestion is: Don't forget to install example template with all modules turned on, it's much easire to understand the way Joomla works. For example every single article on the website should have his own category and section, something like this: Section: Reviews Category: Albums Article: Radical Distortion - Psychedelic... Section: News) Category: New Releases Article: some random announcement Section: Reviews Category EP's Article: Artha - Fluori EP and so on... Dunno about this safe mode, but on my server i can't upload files and media through Joomla uploader - only with FTP program works in my case. Speaking of design, yeah, there is a bunch of free templates on the internet, and there is two ways of making different outlook. If you got html page already, Joomla got feature to implement html files and images into Joomla (TBH, i never worked with this, but i notice that feature recently). Other way is to manually edit php files of selected template, it's not a big deal, all you need to do before editing is to make a backup of .php file that you're editing, and after that you can replace headers, default fonts, content and table backgrounds directly through ftp programs.

If you decide to start a front page I suggest Joomla engine, it's really cool stuff, you can build your own website, add a content in categories and sections, It allows member registration, voting articles/reviews, submitting weblinks. There is also few modules that support banners, image galeries, webshop and stuff like that. It's not a problem to link existing forum with frontpage, all you need to do is to make an external link in a menu bar. Joomla is great stuff for reviews, because on Neogoa (which uses Joomla engine) you can see what I'm talking about, text editors are similar to this ones here, you can add images, links, html codes, lists, metadata descriptions. All you need is a server with mysql and some FTP program.

Nah, that's my mistake, when i started labels section, links form was c/p and first one wrong lol. Anyhow, now all fixd. Let me know if you find any other mistakes in texts or smth. Thanks

Hey thanks for correction, it's updated now. Well speaking of reviews database and releases database, Releases database will be filled with only Newschool albums/compilations and EP's. Maybe I'll merge that section with Newschool Goa reviews so that we won't need to type same texts and infos twice. Anyhow, at this moment on the website there is cca 100 Reviews and more is comming. We're also looking for even more reviewers so if someone is interested, just send me a note - iparic70@gmail.com Thanks Agneton!

Sorry for delay, now it's online Here Enjoy

I totally disagree with this. Why? Well thank god we all have internet and social services that provide great promotion like myspace, soundcloud, facebook and every ''artist'' can promote his work via them. You don't need to be supersmart to do a proper promotion, all you need is basic internet knowledge and material to promote. The thing is that scene (and i mean - newschool goa scene) needs to push harder, follow example of some serious labels like Suntrip or Kagdila, give their best to release quality music with proper mastering, not to release every goddamn ''goa'' artist they found on myspace and internet. That's my opinion and when I started with Neogoa/Dimensional GW thing, I wanted to be honest with myself and with guys who sended their tracks, and that means if track isn't good enough - let them know. It's hard thing, but hey, better help to artist is if you say ''look dude, mix is bad'' or ''that melody is freakin' boring'' than WOW that rocks, let's do an EP net relase. There is bunch of people who doesn't listen to (neo)goa music just because of half-products. Sorry for offtopic.

http://www.neogoa.tk For all Goa Trance fans there is one place to be - Neogoa, a web portal where you can find detailed information about all artists and publishers who are specialized in newborn Goa Trance trend and music. Neogoa.tk follows the newest releases in this genre, and offers a great number of reviews from all spheresa of psychedelic sound, from downtempo/ambient to psy trance & goa trance. Besides this role, Neogoa has evolved into a net-label too. Moreover, Neogoa works as a radio-promoter for all interested newschool goa trance artists and DJs, and it cooperates with other web portals and organizations. The very first version of the web site was created during the summer 2010, when Richpa extended his previously written texts with databases which contained all the necessary information about artists and labels - all with one goal; to share all relevant information about Goa Trance in one place. Shortly after, the idea of creating a new VA compilation became vivid. The final result - the "Dimensional Gateway", a conceptual compilation which will be experienced as a real "psychedelic space odyssey" by many people. The goal of this release was to truthfully represent the essence of Goa Trance, and we believe that we have succeeded to achieve it. The future of Neogoa project will be directly linked to the community, as it already was from the very beginning. We have established important connections with many organizations, artists, DJs and web portals. The plans are clear - to work and to do our best in order to make our web site the best we can, so that visitors and users of our portal can have the best insight into the music we love and live for. One of our main goals in the future period will be to promote artists and DJs through our releases and radio shows.

Maybe it seems weird but from the very beginning I promised to artists and myself that I'll do this with good promotion, serios cover (with informations about artists) and offcourse proper mastering, even it's free release. The point here is to promote thoose guys in the best possible way, because they did awesome job with tracks. Also, best possible solution was to promote and host it on Ektoplazm, and for the second time I'm very glad to work with Basilisk. Review before it's out is logical decission, Mdk in my humble opinion writtes honest and objective reviews and I've asked him to do same thing for Dimensional Gateway (and I'm very thankful that he took his free time for this), so that people know what to expect before they decide to spend their bandwidth.
