    https://soundcloud.com/psilocybian/sets/psilocybian-godhead PsiloCybian uses the grit of analog sounds, old school goa nuances and a plethora of hardware, to create a journey through a soundscape that changes color and dimension. The use of various effects, samples and an increasingly metallic vibe is both thought provoking and memorable. His second album on his home label BMSS "Godhead" is a tribute to the Gods of the forest. Right from the start, PsiloCybian lures you into a cosmic woodland, that transmutes track by track. Melodic riffs touch on the hustle of rock and roll, while "Mad as a balloon" is a chunky undulating track, enveloped in higher orchestral elements ending with a pulsating bassline. It leads neatly into "I can feel my Brain". With a light touch of percussion, and elements that wind round and upwards the second track is an ascent into new verdant realms. Having defined the limits of this unfamiliar world, PsiloCybian teases us with an ethereal moment or two before taking us down once more, with deeper melodies, that echo in the background with various pads and effects. Each track creates a sense of curiosity about what is coming next. In "Oddwood", we drift along, radiating outwards to the edges of our cosmic forest. "Godhead" the title track once again draws us upwards. Metallic atmospheres and a calculated, but experimental approach to layering leave us with a sense that we are perhaps, listening in on intergalactic transmissions. Atypical effects push the limits of familiar acid riffs which combine, collapse and quiver back to life creating a sense that darkness is creeping away making way for the lightness of the last tracks. In other news, Goatma EP is mastered and I'm working on the artwork at the moment and right after that one Full Fractal Vision full-lenght album by Lectro Spektral Daze should be released.     You don't have to bother that much with techical-stuff and terminology, I'm sure many people who are checking reviews are not music producers and just like to get the feedback how someone experienced the music. Few years ago I started doing some reviews but nowdays I really don't have any free time to post something new, even there is a lot of great music released this year. What is good when it comes to Psynews, there is different styles of reviews that has been posted in recent years, some tend to analyse each track, some others focus more on describing the overall feeling of certain release. Let's hope more people will give a try and do some reviews since they're very important, to artists and to labels. I always check what people have to say about the music we release and what they like or they don't like. It helps a lot to improve our work - music, artwork, promotion, all that interesting stuff...

    He contacted me a week or two ago about his new album and possibility to have it released on Neogoa Records, but never actually recieved any promo material (obviously some artists think they get release slots based on reputation without taking care to provide any actual material). However, it would be cool to see him releasing more often for sure, he got skills.

    Yup, thoose are available only via our Bandcamp and Suntrip shop atm and we're running low with both, pre-orders for Arronax were beyond our expectations so if you wanna have these 2 physical Neogoa releases, don't wait too long. Not sure will there be any reprints in the near future, we want to focus on new physical releases and to give a fair chance to other artists who published music on Neogoa.
