    Great news for all LSD (not the drug, obviously) fans this year, two full lenght albums and a lot of compilation appereances from Danny. Congrats to Timewarp, I've heard couple of tracks from the album already and they kick ass big time!

    PsySutRa decided to throw a remix contest for two tracks from his Gamma Phoenics album (United States Of Mind and Postcard From Goa) and release a special remix EP through Neogoa. (September 1st) to email adress: psysutra@gmail.com and after that we will announce the winners. There are no special rules except that preferred genre(s) should be Goa trance, Psytrance, Chill Out, Progressive.     I'll throw some positive examples for label managers with whom I worked with. All of them acted highly professional whenever there was any project we worked on together, and the communication was on high level, aswell as their input with the new ideas... and what matters the most, all of them care about promotion of Goa trance music: Renato (Nova Fractal) at Timewarp Records, Jos (Anoebis) and Mars at Suntrip Records, Alex (Ephedra) at Goa Madness Records, Elias (Agneton) at Sita Records, Draeke at DAT Records, Christian (Samsara) at Random Records.

    J.I.S had a blasting DJ set this weekend in Zagreb, I'll keep my eye on his DJing activities for sure, great track selection, good mixing and full positive experience during his set.

    I really like the idea of having the retro version of artwork, oldschool Goa trance had some of the best artworks and it's always great to see that remastered releases comes with the orginal work in visual aspect (Doof album is also another good example).

    I agree with you, Golden Arms Of Kresnik might be my favorite track aswell. I like all the tracks, but this one got something so special and emotional at the same time that more I listen to it the more I feel happy and feel the positive energy.

    I'm really impressed that no one here on Psynews, or on Ektoplazm (heck, even on Facebook) don't want to spoil the fun for the new audience who might missed this release with revealing the artists/projects featured on TWB. It does make some sense since the essential point or idea was to present music, not names... This Saturday at Timewarp vs Neogoa event I will be lucky to hear one of the tracks from the compilation on proper soundsystem and I can't wait to experience that. Thanks for all the reviews and keep them coming, your input and feedback will help us shape our next compilation project.

    No worries, I see your point Well you know that I don't like to involve myself into everlasting debate which is better old versus new Goa, since I enjoy to listen both no matter from which year and by whom it's made, one of the reasons why new Goa should avoid the comparations with old Goa. Instead, let's build our own history and moments of brilliance. Being influenced by old-Goa is a great thing, making something new out of it is also a great thing, but if we want to hit the road of evolution within Goa trance music I seriously think that pushing into different directions and being influenced by different things is a healthy way for the future of Goa trance music. Yes, it's also cool to see Goa trance artists playing at big/major/mainstream psytrance events, for sure it will promote them and new Goa, but let's be honest, today even 20 years after, more oldschool Goa trance artists/musicians are being booked at thoose big events and that is saying something about new Goa trance. Who knows, maybe in 20 years artists from this era will be more recognized than they are now.

    You got your opinion, but I still think that nowdays Goa trance music can and should do better, but hey, that's my own view and opinion that I'm trying to push with Neogoa, same as diversity which has been an important factor through the years of our label work, of high importance just like discovering and releasing new talents. Actually I don't have anything against people who are complaining, they got their right to express opinion, but for me it only means that they don't have time or maybe they're just lazy to follow/explore/discover less-know artists and their work. Speaking about the next wave, I spoke about it with Goatrance.hu in the interview ('I’m sure that in the next decade of Goa trance music, less melodic and more experimental Goa music will get more recognition.''). I also believe that melodic goa trance is having it's peak at the moment and within few years more and more darker/experimental and acidic music will be released and promoted than it is now, even we at Neogoa already started with thoose kind of releases

    I think you're overreacting here. I don't think that people are complaining about the lack of remixes, more about the general way where modern Goa trance music is going (and I can agree on certain part with that).

    YesterdayI recieved mastered files for Sadhana (our next compilation), compiled by Sky Technology. You can expect first samples and previews at our Soundcloud profile page in the upcoming days. We still don't have fixed release date for this one, but I hope sometime during early May we will have this one online for download. Next in pipeline are debut albums of Proxeeus entitled 'At The Mountains Of Madness' (late May or even early June) and after that we will present debut albums of Goatree / Saluberrimae. The uptempo one (GoaTree) will be released by Neogoa and the downtempo (Saluberrimae) will be released through Neogoa and AE Records. So yeah, that should be the first half of 2015 and after the summer break we will post more details about the other planned releases. Stay tuned, we will have some nice suprises for the end of 2015 aswell. Oh yes, I almost forgot, our releases now got 400 000 downloads at Ektoplazm.     Yeah, Zed Reactor to my ears also got some dark moments, even sometimes melodies aren't that dark. Btw, the start of The Valley Of Kings by E-Mantra is sort-of darkish nitzho influenced Goa to my ears, I can't think of better example than that.

    It wasn't mindblowing for sure but it was much better than I expected. I really hope the new album will take the direction between classical AP sound from mid/late '90s and modern Goa sound. Not sure does they plan to do something in that vein, but for me (and I'm sure for many of you) it would be a real treat. Let's wait and see, for sure it will be the biggest news in psychedelic trance world, when it happen.
