Cybernetika - Solar Nexus (Ektoplazm) One of the best releases I've heard on Ektoplazm this year, interesting blend of psychedelic sounds with drum'n bass and breaks with sci-fi motifs.

Nice tracklist. Super cheesy artwork. Thor (I assume it is him, doesn't have horns on his helmet, if he wears a helmet than his helmet got wings, but that also is infuluenced by american comics/film culture). If you're trying to give proper introduction to vikings or nordic culture, at least pay some attention to details.

Umm, I'm not sure how do you perceive 'folk' melodies but honestly I can't find any of thoose on this album. Maybe it's because I consider folk melodies to sound and have different approach, perhaps something like this. Middle-Eastern-influenced music, yes, but folk? Not sure about that mate. Anyway, interesting point of view.

Can we expect Nhjo's Mahadeva remix to be included as a bonus track?

Let's try with cute, short, but yet effective intros Two words: Imperial Project https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46hm4bCRgW8 And both tracks are on the same album

I don't think compilations or albums gotta have that rule to finish it with slower tune, it depends on the mood and storytelling of the certain release. Of course, when you have different tracks by different artists than it's a little bit harder to make a decission, but in the end it's always fun to have a downtempo tune on uptempo release and vice-versa, no matter the fact where they place it. Diversity is a good thing.

The most complex goa trrance was written by Etnica/Pleiadians
Richpa replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
I feel that many people who are getting involved into Goa trance recently are jumping on Etnica/Pleiadians bandwagon big time without actually paying proper attention to all thoose tiny details in their rich discography. In my case, these guys are in Goa trance same as Pink Floyd is in rock music and discussing the amount of complexity in their musical-opus is ridicilous. To be clear here, I'm not fanboy of Etnica like Radi is in case of Boris Blenn, but listing the most complex tracks doesn't have any sense, since we all experience the complexity in different ways. For example, someone will find minimalistic/techno influenced Etnica music from Andromeda/Nitrox/Chrome period to be more complex than their more melodic stuff released earlier under Pleiadians or Crop Circles name since not everyone look out for complexity strictly in melodies. Personally I'm not the biggest fan of thoose albums, but they got their value and I respect that, but for sure I'm not gonna go around with Alien Protein or IFO (which I consider to be among my favorite Goa trance releases) saying they're most complex work of Etnica/Pleiadians. Since I mentioned Pink Floyd, for example I find Animals or even Meddle to be more complex than their most famous albums such as The Wall or The Dark Side Of The Moon, does that mean I'm right? No. I just perceive thoose albums in my own way, and same thing is with Etnica/Pleiadians. We won't get an answer for the most complex track, because what makes one artist/musician/band huge or special is the fact that they can offer and 'inject' complexity and uniqueness in their work on so many different ways and levels and exploring that with each new listening is a beauty of quality music. Just my toughts about this topic. -

For sure one of the most interesting downtempo releases, published this year. The World In A Drop Of Rain is a product of hard work and I hope this release won't slip under the radar as their previous album, because it deserves some attention.
