  1. Afaik, no body from Tranceform, Suntrip, Metapsychic or Phototropic never told to their artists -> GO AND PRODUCE SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN OLDSCHOOL. The main goal for each of thoose labels (I assume) was to release and revieve Goa trance music. The term itself came naturally as a symbol for the 2nd wave, after that, during the development of the sound and production tools in general it became a sort of classification for the more modern type of production in Goa trance music. Saying something should sound like oldschool is a nonsense. It should sound how the artist/musician wants to sound. There is a lot of great artists nowdays who are making proper oldschoolish Goa trance, all you need to do is to take some time and find it instead of calling people to change their way of making music to please your taste.
  2. Who said it should be named as neogoa just because the release date? There are other factors which define the term. The production at the first place. ...
  3. Thanks guys for nice feedback, this is really something new and exciting for me and I can say that is amazing to see how many talented artists are doing interesting Goa trance and they never published anything Ritual Om's track is an epic one, some highly experimental and sort of conceptual Goa perfect for tripping. Can't wait to share this stuf with you

  5. And your opinion can't be wrong? I'm just trying to: ...and if it's possible, to show you that your view about the strife within the scene caused by the term 'neogoa', is just nonsense. Maybe I'm wrong and uninformed, but also maybe you can give me/us solid example/proof?
  6. Please don't use oldschool Goa trance, it's all goa trance, we don't want to divide the scene. Ontopic: I.F.O. by Pleiadians
  7. It's not black-white relationship, there is grey area in the middle and each goa trance addict who follows this music got vivid view towards the difference. You guys are acting like we're discussing something that isn't goa trance, of course it's goa trance, it's not gabber or house. It's like you say, ok, i don't listen to black metal or power metal, I listen to metal. That is so ridicilous, people are aware that all things we're disscussing here are goa trance, but some factors such as the production, the time-period, the tools gives 120% right to call it neogoa or newschool goa and it's not a term that each artist or listener should accept or use it, not at all, there is a lot of artists nowdays who are doing oldschool goa trance. It is goa and it got oldschool as a prefix to make stronger definition of the sound, just like neogoa. I think that term 'neo' is self-exlpanational, it's a symbol for something new and fresh and i don't see any problem with the term or nonsense like dividing the scene. Afaik, this scene seems more united than ever before, artists who are doing collaborations or paying a tribute to each other (AND RELEASING IT), labels who are exchanging informations and advices, graphic artists who are contributing and the solid base of people who are following their favorite artists/labels. That is a fact and that harmony isn't there just because people disscused how will they call the music, but because they decided to spend their time giving their best to promote the music and the artists, not wasting time about the suitable name for the music. It's goa trance, it's not polka.
  8. I was a photobucket user for a long time and sometime indeed their service was unstable, so I decided to try Dropbox and now I really can't say anything bad about it in terms of stability.
  9. Are you still uploading on Photobucket?
  10. Well it's not really the identification sign of the label because I did many symetrical designs for other labels and that is something that I like to do and it's more of my own personal choice, even I made couple of landscape designs, but I always prefer creating this kind of stuff. I don't have any special inspiration for that, maybe as influence I can name the artworks by Transwave which are still one of my all-time favorites.

It's Paul Bostaph. Dave was fired from band two years ago http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Bostaph
  12. Yeah, it looks cool to have all the data and little covers on the same picture, but I like to do this kind of stuff anyway and it doesn't take that much of spare time for making it
  13. I’m currently working on 100% oldschool Goa trance compilation for the first time. Probably it won’t fit in the description of the highly melodic positive trance music which became some sort of standard nowdays, but for sure it will satisfy the people who like their Goa trance more experimental, darker and obscure. Hit the article below to find out more about this project and how to participate: http://neogoanetlabel.tumblr.com/post/84124985915/be-a-part-of-neogoas-first-oldschool-goa-trance

  20. I'm not in that kind of buissnes like Federico or Tal, but for sure there is quite a lot of unreleased tracks around, the only thing which is the common problem I think, is how to restore the sound/project from different media. Even some younger and newer artists got unreleased tracks but projects are lost and the export for mastering is problematic, usually they already exported their tracks with limiters/compressors and there is no headroom for mastering (which is crucial for in case you're releasing compilation and all tracks should be in the same setting). Anyway, it's great news to see some unreleased Shakta material published
