  1. In Croatia situation is horrible, our nominal GDP per capita is around 14 000$, and prices for basic things are very high. Many people did not wanted to be part of European Union and I was one of them, but now even after joining we're all aware that it can't be better, only worse. Our debt towards the IMF and other financial institutions was high and now it's even higher and it will rise, probably until our goverment sold complete natural resources, infrastructure and do the final privatization of the national companies. It's similar scenario that happened and is happening to all small countries in the area, and i'm not optimistic at all. For example in Croatia average salary is 990$ per month and 21% is the registered unemployment rate. With bad politics, pressure from the outside and apparent democracy we got small (and beautiful) country in debt, with high unemployment rate and un-used resources, similar thing that is happening to all countries in ex-Yugoslavia and we all knew that Yugoslavia was one of the strongest countries and economies before the war happened in early 90's. Divide and conquer rule has been applied to small balkan tribes who lived in harmony and welth for a long time.
  2. Couldn't agree more, both of them are a unique examples of proper and creative goa trance music which is not constrained by usual cliche rules or boundaries. I would add to that list mr. Cybernetika aswell due to his drum'n'bass-darkpsytrance crossover (goa influenced) production which has been unique in my book for some time now. There are also some other artists who are doing great stuff, for example I always liked Artha's work and his goa trance music. Regarding the more 'melody-based' goa acts nowdays I really like Astrancer and his approach, he got unique sound and vibe and I hope one day we will see his full lenght album, some of his unreleased material sounds epic. For sure there is even more artists but I only posted ones who are into goa trance music in some kind a way.
  3. I think psynews guys are aware of Nikola's efforts in last couple of years, not only with his production (especially with Space Elves and other collaborations) but with his netlabel and compilations that he published and released (mostly for free download), some of them are my all-time favorites. When nobody in Serbia give a damn about goa trance music, he founded a label and promoted not only in Serbia but in whole Balkans area that music and because of that we all should give him some kudos and personally i'm glad that he's still doing that same job even it's a hard task to release quality goa trance music for free.
  4. *goosebumps* Dundov's third LP, Sailing Off The Grid, expands on the lush, intricate synth explorations of his previous two releases, but sees him delve further still into those realms, invoking the spirit of classic ambient and synth-based music of decades gone by. While the album spans just eight tracks, each track clocks in over seven minutes, and some almost double that length. Each is slow-burning, expansive, gradually unfolding to reveal more of itself and to develop its motifs and sentiments without the often hurried constraints of the dancefloor (or even more so, the radio). This is an album to be consumed in its entirety; not for those with short attention spans or iPod playlists on their mind. As well as the glorious aesthetic of this record, it's clear that this third album is indebted to the greats of the synthesizer world. The album imparts a - whisper it - almost Balearic sensuality, with a real sense of humanity elicited from Dundov's array of machines by way of ever-changing melodies and patterns, giving the sense of a spontaneous, freestyle approach to synth playing and constructing tracks. If his first two albums unearthed his wider musical talents, Sailing Off The Grid is the one that sees him blossom into an incredibly accomplished and ever-more-intriguing producer.

  13. Waitan always was classy in black metal scene, not into their music that much but i love the way they're presenting their music. Anyway, I can't get enough of new Amon Amarth album, proper viking melodic-death metal with awesome production: *goosebumps* Since I was born they have kept me down, They have forced me to conform. I will tear down their holy crown in a vengeful thunder storm, I loathe their bloody righteous ways It fills me with despise, Fuelling flames of violent rage, I will be their world's demise. [Chorus:] Asgård's always been my home But I'm of different blood I will overthrow the throne Deceiver! Deceiver of the gods! All this rage, and all this hate, It burns me deep inside, And still it is, the only thing, keeping me alive. Dark ambition within my heart and it's aching to break free The one true nature of my soul, the giant lives in me. Kneel! You all shall kneel to me! Or death will set you free! You all shall kneel to me! Fall! You all shall fall to me! Vengeance will be sweet! You all shall fall to me! [Chorus:] Asgård's always been my home But I'm of different blood I will overthrow the throne Deceiver of the gods! [Chorus:] Asgård's always been my home I'm born of different blood I've come to overthrow the throne Deceiver! Deceiver of the gods!
