What do you do to help the world discover Psytrance?
Richpa replied to FatKidWitAJetPak's topic in General Psytrance
First contact with psychedelic trance and goa music happened when I borrowed Pulse vol.1 CD compilation from friend of mine (who bought it because of nice cover (lol), in that period of time I was more into trance/gabber/techno music, listening to Trancemaster compilations and stuff like that. I don't remember exactly the year when this happened but I remember very well that after listening to both Pulse discs I got sucked into this kind of music and thanks to internet i discovered many great artists and names. in that time, mp3.com website was great for finding proper goa music, music from astral projection, etnica, imperial project and cygnetic rec crew, etc. In 2004. i started with djing and it was fun, but i decided to quit in 2007 because i did not found myself in that, and many friends told me that i never should stop doing it, but hey, i'm pretty much happy with things im doing right now. In 2010. i started working on some info texts regarding goa trance music and culture on croatian language and with a little help by Arronax we posted english version/translation here on psynews aswell. in that period of time i was amazed by metapsychic, suntrip, phototropic and cronomi releases, so i came with idea to have all releases, labels and artists at same place so i created simple html page 'Neogoa.tk' with aim to have all listed there and it worked well couple of months until i decided to collect music from known and less known artists for promotion of genre and website so result was Dimensional gateway compilation, released for free. I was really inspired by Pyramidal Trancendence back than so i wanted to create something like that, to give free and quality music for people who share similar passion for goa trance and after that it turned out for me like some sort of routine or hobby, and now three years after i feel like im doing the right stuff. So in numbers it looks something like this: from 2009 I compiled 8 compilations (3xDimensional Gateway, 2xEntities, Future Architecture with Imba, Pantheon with Stryder and The Omega Point), released over 15 hours of goa and ambient music for free, designed and created over 30 artworks and countless number of flyers and posters and still i have hunger for better and more, hopefully i'm gonna have enough of energy and inspiration to keep the pace in 2013 aswell, even in 2012 i started doing reviews and this year i wanted to try with interviews aswell, that ammount of work requires a lot of energy, organization and commitment. I think that's it- 14 replies

E-Mantra's downtempo stuff is amazing, if you like to explore more newer type of downtempo / ambient Goa stuff, than start with E-mantra

I checked stream of mastering for new Shpongle and they played maybe 4-5 minutes of MoC track I think and it sounds very nice, Michelle's TM vocals are there and it seem that track itself got very nice groove, but it's hard to say because stream was really bad and quality was horrible. Anyway I don't have big expectations for new album (like i had for 4th one) so hopefully they will suprise me in best possible way. Btw guys, don't miss new Entheogenic EP, this track sounds very Simonish )) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0ncBfijP5s

Looks amazing, love the combination of colours on the frontside. Fonts are also cute and styling is perfect, proper artwork that looks psychedelic enough but with style. Great work.

Slavic languages are indeed pretty much similar, especially here on Balkans (south slavic language branch) where languages like Croatian, Serbian and Bosnian are practiclly the same, but it got some differences: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_standard_Bosnian,_Croatian_and_Serbian I'm having a bit hard time to understand Slovenian and Macedonian because I find their terms, pronunciation a bit more different and harder to understand than C-S-B. But when you focus you can understand them aswell. Speaking about other slavic languages, I can understand some words from Russian, Slovakian, Polish, because they got similar strucutre like my language. Speaking about the dialects, most of people are under the 'Å¡tokavski' diealect but there are more, anyway, it's explained here in details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shtokavian_dialect

You shouldn't stop posting, but: For example, in your topic 'similar artists as hallucinogen' people (including me), gave you a couple of suggestions but instead of 'thanks for your suggestion/recommendation' people get your indepth analysis of their recommendations, mostly in style 'too much compression, it is awful.' I don't mind anything like that, but don't you think it would be better to start a new topic in review section and post your reviews there? General Psytrance indeed is sub-forum for general discussions but when I see your silly analysis and comparasions between artists in most of your topics and posts, it turns me away for posting anything serious. And trust me, sometimes posting simple 'thanks' means a lot more than being picky and 'smart' in each topic. Just imagine what would be if all active Psynews members start to post their dislikes in each discussion in general psytrance, in almost each topic and start doing silly analysis? That's why we got reviews section, and it indeed needs more reviewers, posters and active users Speaking about your way of posting 'offtopic stuff', well man, it's funny, at least to me and nobody can't take away thoose great moments on Psynews, while reading about skinny girls, Boris Blenn and very steep Bulgarian mountains, it's pure gold man...and I like it, don't get offended, I laugh on many posts here, for example Imba brought me so much lmao moments and he's not complaining about it. Regarding this: That is not true. I'm sure many of Psynews members appriciate your input and 'virtual' personallity here (even it's just a internet place where people like to share common passion for psychedelic music and art), and even sometimes you're being more rude6404 than youre radi6404. So, don't stop posting, just change a bit some habits

Goa Girls - Female Presence in Psy-Trance (& Psynews)
Richpa replied to a topic in General Psytrance
Psynews is in state of great renaissance and it feels so good to be a part of it, especially when it comes to disscuss very steep bulgarian mountains or to vote for your favorite Pleiadians or Etnica track (we need more topics!!!). There are still some less-serious topics with more pleasant feeling, such as Goa Girls with thin legs, what do you feel/think about while you're dancing or just some tips and tricks from the dancefloor. However, there are still less interesting topics, such as various psytrance recommendations, new dj mixes, psynews compilation contest, lenghty reviews, label and artist announcements and new releases, production tips, etc... Anyway, in my humble opinion, we should keep this renaissance going, so i suggest couple of new topics: - Favorite Boris Blenn track - What would Boris Blenn do if he was....? - Best Boris Blenn live shows (only YouTube links) - Now Playing (Boris Blenn edition) - Best Boris Blenn photos (personal and from live, studio, etc) - Newschool Goa vs. Boris Blenn - Favorite artwork for Boris Blenn release(s) - Future of Boris Blenn - Experience of discovering Boris Blenn and Electric Universe - The Future of Goa - Boris Blenn - Official Boris Blenn apreciation topic (random discussions about BB).- 122 replies

Oh, look at that dude how he got wasted lol (i wounder what would happen if he tried my rakia) Ummm am i gonna have enough of rakia for this evening? Please, no, no wasted dude, don't come ask for some rakia, it's bad for you *Shit* This party could be better with more girls around here Girls will come soon i'm sure, so i'll keep my killarggh moves for later Fuck this shit, let's dance, girls won't come anyways Wasted dude got his wasted dude friend, great. JUST DON'T.... *Shiiiiiiit* Maybe I could change position, even I don't like to be near PA system Feels good now, wasted dudes are far far away. Still my eardrums won't be happy tommorrow morning It's perfect time to do a mosh combo, right foot in front, keep left behind, now make a chopper moves with hands....yeeeah, my arms are spinning, no one is doing this killarrrgh dance haha. What was for dinner, my stomach doesnt feel well...probably because of this DJ and his music. He aint gonna get any holy water from me. Time to go home, even the wasted duo is already in bed, or somewhere outside, tripping...hehe. This was good party afterall
