My last name is Paric (Parich), so I used satrovacki and it came out as Rich-pa. Speaking about satrovacki, here is something about it...and yeah I'm not criminal Satrovacki is a feature of permuting syllables of words used in Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. It is similar to verlan and louchébem in French. The term is sometimes used to describe other slang in which words are deformed, as well. Satrovacki was initially developed by criminals in Yugoslavia, as it was incomprehensible to police. Today, it is spread among youth in informal speech and its variants are found in all languages that can be linguistically categorized as South Slavic. It is more widespread in urban areas, such as Belgrade, Zagreb and Sarajevo. Words are formed by replacing the syllable order. For example: pivo (beer), becomes vopi. The new word has the same meaning as the stem. Since the spelling is nearly phonetic it does not change. However, sometimes one of the vowels is changed to make the new word easier to pronounce, avoid ambiguity, or if the stem word is not innominative. For example, trava (grass, often used for marijuana) would become vutra instead of vatra (meaning fire).

I'm pretty much sure, that lovers of Renato's style and music will be pleased with that track, in my opinion one of his better tracks. Like, mr. DeepXCode said: fast, intense and strong (Goa trance).

Nice review, but still Tesla and Zaman are something that stands out, not being fan of his later work.

Great news for a start of new week, thanks

I was thinking about doing few email-to-email interviews with newschool artists that I'm familiar with, offcourse, with professional questions and some fun questions aswell, if I catch some extra time maybe I'll try to do something in that vain.

No pics? I'm planning to do my first and probably it will be a small-sized tatto on back of my neck with 'Kolovrat' symbol: Offcourse, not with this plain shape, but with some extra additions, something like this maybe: http://www.kolovrat.pl/media/logo.png but without text.

Still, that album is great - from music to concept and message. More like that wouldn't hurt anyone I guess. There is a lot of releases which don't follow that trend and good thing in psytrance is diversity - of music, ideas and messages, by that I mean that more conceptual and releases which 'speaks' about some issue or problem are welcomed in my case. Anyways, thanks for your opinions regarding this subject and suggestions for conceptual albums/compilations.

I'm active here for more than 3 years, but I've been reading reviews back than in 2003 i think and that's the main reason why I visited this site, more reviews will attract more people I'm sure, but reviews should cover as much as possible psy-trance sub-genres. It's not an easy job and there isn't that much people who are willing to do reviews, but hopefully that will change in future. Facebook is place where most people find informations and updates, use Psynews facebook page to post as much as possible content on daily basis, post news, forum updates, new reviews, party/releases announcements, etc. I gave permission to few moderators who are on my facebook friendlist, for all of you others who got facebook and you're mod here on forum, let me know so I can add you aswell. Promotional material, such as flyers on parties might do the work, but something like quality V/A will be a best promotion of this website/forum and it's content, but that is a hard job, if you need my help in any aspect regarding the visuals, or contatcing artists and offcourse promoting it on social networks, let me know, I'm gonna be more than happy to help a bit.

We all know about I.F.O. it's for sure one of the best psychedelic trance records released and it's probably one of my favorite conceptual albums of all time in all genres. Now, 15 years later I'm still enjoying Goa trance music, but somehow I think that many artists doesn't want to pay more attention to story behind the music, something that will send some message through some story or idea. I'm not that much familiar with old school Goa trance like I'm with newer production, but I think that back than artists made albums with more details regarding the story, regarding the track names, listing and album names. Nowdays (at least from my point of view), all that is based on good old 'classical' elements such as aliens, extraterrestrial-lifeforms, distant planets, hindu god-pantheon, psychedelic drugs, elements of nature, etc. I'm not saying that thoose elements are something that shouldn't be used, afterall, my own compilations are based on some of thoose, but I'm trying to say that maybe, we all should explore details a bit more. Pleiadians showed what does their name means, they perfectly represented feeling of the distant stars through music and that is something that I appriciate, especially because they made a conceptual piece of art. Something with similar idea (but only with drugs) 1200 Mic's made. Offcourse, I started this topic as a place where we all can speak about new ideas regarding the themes and concept in Goa trance, is there any space for a new ones, is it possible to expand Goa trance music on to other fields. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if some artist decide to use his sound as a weapon against injustice, political corruption or something similar, it doesn't matter if Goa trance isn't something that doesn't have 'words' but I'm sure it can bring out some focus on some issues. Or why there isn't any Goa trance release that 'speaks' about hunger, deforestation, or animal killing (last one was actually mentioned in Somnesia & Space Elves TAE Remix, kudos to them). I mean, it's cool to have positivity in music, especially in Goa trance, but with that same positivity you can send some message, there is no need to almost every song 'speaks' about sunrays, moonlight, deep space, colorful rainbows. Speaking from my point of view, I tried to deliver DG compilation in 2010 as something that speaks about Illuminati and multidimensionality, and it was hard to complete story like that, especially when you work with 9-10 different minds, but now, I'm really happy to be able to work with Arronax on his album and story for it and I'm glad that he also aims for something conceptual, something that will tell story with each track. Lunar Dawn's album also will represent Slavic pantheon and IMO that's cool concept for Goa trance, especially because it's something new and fresh. Very good example of conceptual can be found in Ra's album 9th, I think that they wanted to give listeners their view of mediumship and chanelling, especially with beings which are out of our realms, pretty much something that has been described in The Law Of One. Hopefully this topic will give good and healthy discussion regarding the topic title and I hopet we will give some fresh input regarding the ideas for possible new concepts and themes in Goa trance music and I hope a bit more courage to artists for their future works, so maybe some of them will start to devote more details to 'behind-the-music' stuff. Edit - some other releases that I find pretty much conceptual are Crystal Skulls compilations and The Mystery Of The Yeti, feel free to list yours.
