  1. There is considerable overlap. But concerning the original topic, I'd fancy a Bandcamp option too.
  2. Just one message ago it was 9 tracks, all finished. I suspect something is missing from the Bandcamp page... Also, at least the first track sounds like it's clipping like crazy. Is it just me?
  3. Banco de Gaia - Apollo Andrew Heath - The Silent Cartographer
  4. Asura - Radio Universe Psilocybian - Unfold Oneself into Endlessness Gamayun Tale Goa Energy
  5. I said D5, but experts disagree... On the ambient side, Nordvargr - Interstellar, because allegedly "all soundsources are of non-terrestial origin" on that album.
  6. Has anyone made a list of the released-ness status of each track? I had some scribbles saying: 1. 12" 2. unr.? 3. unr.? (original: album, Psy-Nergy, Goa-Head 13) 4. unr.? 5. unr.? 6. unr.? 7. 12", a whole bunch of compilations 8. album, 12", Planet-Goa IV 9. unr.? Any better information out there? Exit Eternity is cool but being released at least six times before makes it feel a bit off here...
  7. I don't see any particular problem with introducing new generations to oldschool goa while using the AP brand for visibility. I'm not sure if you've noticed but practically all psy CDs have been single runs of <=1000 copies for years. Represses are rare. Heck, new Filteria albums come in 1000 copies, most Suntrip stuff fewer than that. Good luck getting big bucks for this when even the most reliable market of physical-only oldschoolers are likely to skip it. I'd find the scenario of a few hundred unsold copies a year later more likely than that. Indeed, no rarities here. On one hand it's a missed chance, on the other it makes this safe to skip if you already got everything in the 90s. Not everyone did, though.
  8. This topic completely fails to disclose the time and location (inc. country) of the festival. Is it a secret? (OK, it may be somewhere in the comments but still, come on. Isn't that one of the very first things people want to know?)
  9. PsiloCybian ‎- Unfold Oneself into Endlessness, might be my favourite downtempo-ish release this year. Sounds fresh.
  10. A bunch of Dubmission (and related) releases. They have free shipping for 2+ CDs on Discogs and Bandcamp for some time.
  11. Half of those people will probably say that "goa trance" ruined the Goa scene and it has nothing to do with the true spirit.
  12. I actually prefer it this way. Much faster to browse, reflects better the actual amount of contribution.
  13. Why would you buy versions that sound like the originals? No but seriously, I appreciate versions that manage to reinterpret the originals in another style while still keeping a hint of the original spirit. That's what made In Dub and The Pan Electric Variations so enjoyable. This one should make a nice addition to that line. Of course, there's variation in style and perceived quality due to multiple producers, but definitely enough good stuff to put it on my purchase list.
  14. The Bandcamp digital version is out, and obviously doubles as full length samples. Everything about the CD still appears TBA/TBC, but it shouldn't take that long, right? Edit: it's quite cool too, by the way.
  15. I tried to compile a list from stuff I own, and after narrowing it down I ended up with INRE009: Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden INRE030: Hol Baumann - Human INRE052: Connect.Ohm - 9980 "Bubbling under" was INRE002: Fahrenheit Project Part One INRE017: Solar Fields - Leaving Home INRE052: Sync24 - Comfortable Void INRE062: Miktek - Elsewhere INRE070: Circular - Moon Pool But it seriously depends on what you want - more rhythmic, pure ambient, artist albums, compilations, classic releases, new stuff... (I could have listed all CBL and a few more from Solar Fields but you can go there yourself after trying one example first.) Ordering Asura - Radio Universe next...and just noticed it's INRE057. That's filling a gap 14 slots backward from the current catalogue index. Interesting.
  16. I think it's some kind of stock sample, saying "reaching out into other worlds". It has appeared at least in: - Overnite II ‎- Reachin' Out (1992) - Frank Klepacki - Reaching Out (already in the first Command & Conquer sountrack, 1995?) - Friskee - Reaching Out (release date unclear, maybe ~1996) I wouldn't be surprised if there were even more, with equally imaginative naming...
  17. Alright, I'll start browsing Ektoplazm's 2014 section today and possibly report any interesting findings. It currently begins from page 48, by the way.
  18. Something from Tengri or Kurbeats? Both released albums in 2013, containing elements like that. I won't try guessing the exact track, though.
