Gaudi - Theremin in Hand 7" A fun extra to the album.

Update: Fridays will continue in 2021, but for some reason January will be skipped. Buy now? Wait until Feb 5th? Decisions... https://daily.bandcamp.com/features/bandcamp-fridays-2021 https://isitbandcampfriday.com/

Nah, a custom one. Unfortunately I cannot promise any pics or details of this one due to the parties involved, but maybe I'll get another version some day for public showing.

I just ordered a Posford t-shirt this week. True story. Let's see if I actually get it.

Can you imagine how polished the mix will be?

This obscure label called "Suntrip" has a sale, December 7th - 17th, details here:
-
Some discounts in the Disco Gecko store (Andrew Heath, Banco de Gaia anniversary editions etc.). Also a chance to get your stuff before the next brexit chaos phase? No idea how long this is running. http://www.discogecko.com/product-category/sale/

Hey! I'm posting this on Bandcamp Friday. That is, Bandcamp taking no commission today. That is, all your money (maybe excluding payment processing costs) going to the seller. It's definitely the last one for 2020. The campaign has been extended a few times in the past but who knows about the future? Anyway, please post in here any special offers, discount codes or other valuable tips that you might have. Doesn't have to be Bandcamp-related. If possible, try to mention included items, links and a clear expiration date. (Do we have a topic for this already? Can be merged or moved to another forum if necessary.)

Beat Bizarre? Always enjoyed the releases, the ZNA live was great fun too. Metal Spark? That was an interesting one back then. Not even particularly fat or woofy. I sometimes play it when my ears need more breathing space. Bamboo Forest has released a lot of less pompous stuff too in different flavours.

Gamma Draconis (LP) I guess the most honest justification for this purchase would be that the whole deal lets me re-live the 90s, simple as that...

Pitch Black – Electronomicon (vinyl) – not sure how much I'm going to spin this edition because my vinyl playing is highly sporadic these days for various reasons, but I can still dream of transmitting those juicy basslines from a good stylus to proper bins Dreadlock Tales & Mikko Heikinpoika – Sonic Artifact – curious release, needs a few more plays to get oriented with this one, enjoyable stuff anyway I hope a few more orders arrive soonish, safely...

Old theme, now incompatible with the latest forum software version? Scroll all the way down on any page (?), find the "theme" selector. At least Penzonews should work. There may also be some further tips on the last pages of Site questions:

I tried to buy Youth & Gaudi's 2063: A Dub Odyssey EP after getting an "insider" message about 15 extra copies being found. I had missed it until now so this was good news. I was on the Bandcamp page on the very minute it was made available. First the page didn't load. Then it took me half a minute to notice that the release appeared at the bottom of the catalogue page, out of sight. Then I typed one friendly sentence to the comment box. However, at the end of payment I suddenly got a "sorry, sold out" message. About five minutes had passed all in all. Oh well, maybe some day, somehow. I just bugs me that I was both informed and prepared, yet not even that was enough. Races to buy gone a bit too far to my liking.

I have the Anjuna edition so not in a massive hurry to get this one, but I may order it anyway. However, browsing Bandcamp Friday stuff last week was so exhausting (and expensive) that I may need a short break first.

Pretty good! You? As if anyone in here ever was! It's quite long but nice. Now code a spell checker!

I already have a hypothesis...or is it a conspiracy theory?

Could be...although when they already have the plates and stampers, nothing really stops them from pressing more with no initial costs to worry about. The planned 1500 copy batch of the "super deluxe" edition was apparently a result of observing that the 2500 copies of Nothing Lasts didn't sell that fast. However, this time: The original Nothing Lasts LP wasn't particularly limited. Conversely, the original Ineffable print was ultra-limited - only 300 copies made and not even all of those in public circulation. Very few people have that, thus it's probably in higher demand to begin with. Many diehard collectors bought the Ineffable re-release in both colours (and probably quite many for re-selling too, seeing how limited it was). Nothing Lasts was just a single version, thus that kind of double-buying didn't happen there. If they release a cheaper edition, the target audience for that is larger than for "super deluxe". So there could be demand for much more than 1500 copies overall, especially when they get split between three versions, each with its own collecting value. Is Twisted going to make more? They have to order those 3rd discs from the plant anyway so why not an extra batch of the "main" discs? Do they want to? We'll see that as well. If we're spamming this info topic too much, let's move this discussion to another one.

We had our annual get-together weekend with a couple of old friends at a remote cottage. I was properly disconnected and learnt only late on Sunday that this came and went already two days ago. Didn't get any advance notification either. A bit of a bummer because it's the only album I don't have on vinyl in any form. Then again, I'm not a fan of that packaging at all. Bland cover instead of the original and pre-inflated with all this "super deluxe" nonsense. I've been skipping Nothing Lasts too because the overall deal felt pointless. What was the price of this one anyway? Well, let's see what happens this time. Print size was scaled back to AYS numbers, which is also the only one of these re-releases to really skyrocket on the second hand market. There were re-presses of the first two ones. For the third one there hasn't been any need yet. We'll see.

Gaudi – 100 Years of Theremin (The Dub Chapter) – CD and LP because why not...signed too. His live dub streams have been great fun. Robert Elster – Endless Observations – that's half of Vibrasphere, you know? LSD has been going strong recently.

Jikkenteki Slowly Returns
Dolmot replied to Jikkenteki's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I'd the first post but the broken theme prevents me from clicking it! (Ha, zooming in to 200% worked. ) -
Recently... Sync24 – Omnious Sync24 – Acidious I rarely buy ambient or even downtempo on vinyl, because I don't see myself playing those genres from that medium. Chilling and disc flipping (and the high risk of crackle over subtle passages) just don't fit together that well. That's why I've skipped, for example, Ultimae vinyl releases. However, these two are not exactly hammock style downtempo. Also, I really liked the cover art.

How about those classy vintage synth and sequencer guys, for example https://ramp1.bandcamp.com/album/synchronize-or-die
