"What about the forests?" Save the forest don't buy Ultimae CDs.

I wonder how his relationship is with Suntrip.
-
I agree.. most of their stuff is perfect production quality but also perfectly boring and pointless music.
-
At most times they contain a grain of truth vastly misinterpreted for some cause. And electric cars are useless but I'm not gonna teach you science, maybe some day you'll see a video on youtube that explains why, though you'll probably condemn it as being a conspiracy from big oil.

Why aren't there more American psy/ambient artists?
bwhale replied to MattMan's topic in General Psytrance
I think Shakatura is american? -
I get the impression that most goa/psy artists are cool people, as are many goa/psy fans. Higher intelligence & consciousness is strongly correlated with this scene in general.

I enjoy 4 tracks by Solar Fields and 1 album from Aes Dana. But I also like the Hol Baumann and half of CBL's stuff, so I voted third option.
-
I wanna know if people really like them, or this is another one of those things that everyone in the psy scene is expected to pretend they like. Vote away!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113243/ Does anyone else LOVE this movie? Being into this myself, I personally love how hilariously unrealistically it portrays computer culture and "hacking". The story is captivating and interesting though the plot is not that good. The acting, "special effects", costumes and soundtrack are all great.

I wish I knew more like MP. /downloads some suggestions from this thread

All these conspiracy theories are so dumb. The electric car is just a stupid idea all around, it would have no support whatsoever if it weren't for ignorant people believing it was "environmentally friendly".

I consider Transdimensional, Second Phase, Magik Universe, To Sirius and The Uncertainty Principle all to be from D5 & Co, since they are all in a similar style and from most of the same people.

Great CD but the weakest one from Chi-AD (which isn't saying much) IMO. Track 2 is not very interesting and track 7 sounds too similar and much inferior to Exit Eternity. Other than that all the tracks are great, but don't really give flow together like his other albums. 9/10

This is not very good stuff. But don't just turn it off half way, rather skip to the end first because track 9 is amazing. The rest ranges between mediocre at best and crap.

I love how their 4 albums from 2000 all have a unique theme and set of sounds used in the tracks, and that those sounds are very different from the sounds in the other albums. This makes each of the albums a unique unit from both the others, and from other artists' stuff. When we listen to a D5 album we are not just listening to a collection of tracks assembled using cliche or undifferentiated sounds.

Label: Blue Moon Productions HQ Catalog#: BMPHQ CD003 Format: CD, Album, Mixed, Digipack Country: Thailand Released: 2000 Genre: Electronic Style: Goa Trance Credits: Artwork By - Mandy Rocha Artwork By [Adapted] - Simon@BMP Artwork By [Logos] - Nar@BMP Producer - Hunab Ku Written-By - Clarke* , Wenham* Notes: Total time: 72:22 Rating: 4.63/5 (24 votes) Tracklisting: 1 Phoenix (10:37) 2 Radiance (7:37) 3 Fractal Harmonic (6:32) 4 Dominion (6:10) 5 Fallen Angel (8:21) 6 Dreamstar (6:42) 7 Evolution (7:04) 8 Magic Mirror (6:09) 9 Matrix (5:21) 10 Wavespell (7:45) This must be the most neglected and underrated gem, nobody even made a review thread for it? This is the greatest sequel to Transdimensional of all the D5 & Co albums from 2000, indeed it surpasses it. It's super energetic, intelligent, deep and full of epic melodies with little cheese if any. Having a really loud kick and baseline with melodies swirling in the background makes it all the more powerful and better, not to mention giving it another unique edge. The opening track Phoenix takes awhile (several minutes) to build up ambient atmosphere and set the tone for the whole album before anything really starts. When it does it is soon evident this is a two up on the Pleiadians! It uses very similar sounds as the Pleiadians did but it also has a huge overarching direction and presence they mostly lacked. After that the album becomes less superficial but maintains energy and interest throughout. I won't type about all the tracks, I'll just say they are all excellent and steeped in truly magical sounds and melodies. In the D5 style the sounds used in the music are unique to this CD and particularly amazing. The heights of the album are Fallen Angel, Dreamstar, Magic Mirror and Matrix, though all the tracks are favorites. The other notable track is Wavespell, which has a cool tribal beat and beautifully closes the album and the journey leaving us in a state of tranquility! I really can't think of any more spiritual musical experience than this CD. I'm actually convinced that all spiritual music lovers will love it and it's the psytrancer harsh-music-for-dancing scene that cannot appreciate it. Most of the tracks are perfect. The flow and mixing of the album is perfect. The opening and closing tracks are perfect. Hell, even the artwork is perfect. This and the other D5 albums, along with the albums from Chi-AD, were both the last breath and greatest height of goa trance. There's no hint of psytrance or minimalism or whatever else that had already taken hold at the time, this is pure melodic goa that has yet to have been rivaled by any of the "newschool goa" artists. Favorite tracks: 1!,2,3!,4,5!,6!!,8!!,7,9!!,10!! 10/10 and #1 album IMO.

I love this album. I listen to it once a week at least at night, it's so great for falling asleep! I love the sounds, you won't hear such nice soft sounds anywhere else, totally ethereal. I usually skip track 2, sometimes track 1 also, but that's partly because I'm so eager to hear Beyond The Stars. What a gem! And all the others after that are great too. Probably not a good CD for a dance party, but you can't criticize it for that. All the arrangements aren't "perfect" like their first CD, but I like the sounds here as much if not better and it's a perfect album for chilling.

Discogs? Ebay? I think this is a really good CD. The opening track is quite amazing, and then there is a high energy maintained throughout most of the rest with some great melodies.

What music are you listening to right now?

I wanna see more creativity. Here's PSD file with all the background roughly removed (and a little extra in a couple spots!) if anyone wants. http://www.sendspace.com/file/ngysjf
