I listened to the second link only and here is all I have to say:

I really started to love this one.

I think you guys overrate this because it was made in the goa trance scene and you don't know about the thousands other ambient releases. It's a cool album and all, but not the first ambient release on the planet by far.

Hi, I don't think you can directly expand your consciousness very far through listening to music. Maybe if the music helps you meditate or study or something, then you can expand your consciousness while listening to it. But the music could just as easily interfere with your ability to do this. That said, a lot of psy track titles toy with this theme and many others. I imagine that since many psy artists and listeners are more intelligent and learned they like to deal with more intelligent themes in their music. These are also often quite spiritual or mysterious themes, though I bet the majority don't actually believe in them, I find them a lot more interesting than rapping about the hood and so on.

Mind expansion could refer to understanding. But I suspect it's more just a "cool theme". Anyone who claims otherwise has done too many drugs.

Not only is the cause hopeless, but it's ironic to raise money for it via such means, since lots of these poor people will never have access to such music which we make "in pity for them". Obviously nobody intelligent thinks this CD will help anything, they are just using it as a marketing strategy to appeal to some ignorant and moral audiences. Thus I call it lame. It's basically an insult to the rest of our intelligence. Btw the line "THINK ABOUT IT" in large font at the end probably provoked my comment.... it's so overused and lame, especially since their position is irrational.

Goaaaaaaaaaaaa. All the others are too narrowly defined and lacking in good music.

Too bad I'll never get to hear how the music is applied to the game... but it sounds pretty good.

I listened like 5 times but I can't really remember anything other than it was pretty bland but not bad. Good background music I guess....

This is kind of boring and lacking music....... A couple tracks are "pleasing", but overall it's a pretty empty music.

Oh I do.... I hear some really great short tracks, with boring short tracks between them, especially on world of sleepers! Track 1, 3, 7, 8 for example are 10/10, but most of the others aren't good at all.

Why they get no mention? Lightflow, 1997, one of the best "psychill" albums I've heard! Just check this! Part: Second, 2000, great chilled goa trance album. Acoustic Plantation Releases, 2004, really great chillout CD again. The rest of their music is pretty good what I heard but I didn't listen to it enough yet. BTW is anyone here have their first 2 CDs for sale? Edit: I just found they are part of Sundial, now I need to listen to these albums ASAP! :drama:

So far (have tons left to listen to!) some stuff that I remember really liking.... Shakatura - Shakatura / Glactivation Solar Fields - Movements Distant System - Spiral Empire Padmasana - A Universal Consciousness Ishq - Orchid Entheogenic - Entheogenic Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination Aural Planet - Lightflow (probably their other albums too) Healer - Wonderground ... Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden Carbon Based Lifeforms - World Of Sleepers ... the problem with these 2 is 1/2 the tracks are just filler material.

I have ambient, trance, techno folders but since they all overlap, I never remember what folder I put something into, so I just use windows search for that stuff.

Maybe it's the sounds used feel kinda gay. Or, there's not enough tension and depth. Great music still, but I feel a little dirty listening to it. There are infinite examples of less gay sounding music, so I'm not sure what to say there, I'm listening to the Leylines CD now and none of the tracks so far are, but they aren't as good either heh.

Gay means happy... it's kind of cheery and superficial melodies, but still nice music.
