  1. I didn't notice it either (hence my order, should've looked better), but it says: Furthermore, they sent me an email (below) a couple of days ago saying they were dealing with the distributor to get more - which I would've thought it's you guys? Judging by your answer I take it they haven't even contacted you lot to re-stock. Not impressed with play.com! Cheers for the link, will try amazon once I manage to figure out how I cancel orders in play.com On the other hand I guess this means the CD has sold out in there, which is good news
  2. Just wondering if there's any trouble with distribution? Play.com has been out of stock for 2 weeks now :/
  3. bad-mannered bovine animal :D

  4. eat shit & die

  5. you big fag xD

  6. Fair play to Colin and Mike for owning up to it, mistakes can happen to anyone. Small price to pay for being able to use The Compounder though
  7. Classy. I don't mind having the music on, but it does require two clicks to turn it off (first on the spectrum analyser, then on "pause"), might be worth having both the analyser and the player controls straight there.
  8. Shame, I hate hoarding on CDs, will have to buy it the old fashioned way
  9. Excellent! Is it gonna be available as paid digital download at any point?
  10. Sorry I never get into such discussions but I do not agree, I'm hearing the same on my monitors and my cans, really bad distortion on most tracks... the mastering being at fault here: Being an online release should be fairly straightforward to correct. Please do, the tunes are fantastic.
  11. It's OK, so far so good, however I haven't been able to figure out how to synchronize playlists with the ipod yet... I'm only migrating because I just upgraded to kubuntu 10.04 and even though I can find amarok 1.4 packages, it won't be there for much longer, and when that happens the migration tool from 1.4 might not be there anymore :/
  12. Very nice set, thanks for sharing.
  13. Been a long time Amarok user here, always found it just perfect to keep all my stuff organised. By genre, score, you name it, works perfect with my iPod as well, can keep it tidy by feeding those criteria based playlists into it. Making the transition from Amarok 1.4 to Amarok 2 now, I'm still unsure of Amarok 2 however. Amarok 1.4 was perfect in every way I could think of as a music manager. I might roll back to Amarok 1.4 for the time being.
  14. Look forward to hearing the results, not enough voices going on these days.
  15. That's brilliant dude, crazy and well produced, looking forward to more.
  16. lol Also, might be worth looking into getting a good transient going on the gated audio so that it cuts through the mix better. One way would be with a carefully configured compressor with a moderate attack (10+ ms) and very low threshold and chunky gain reduction, or maybe through the use of a transient revitalising plugin like Oxford Transmod, or maybe Digital Fishphones Dominion to shape up an envelope. I don't see why not, the sidechained gate should work with any sound going through it.
  17. What sequencer do you use? Chopping the audio file synced to tempo directly on the audio track is one possibility, another is to set up a gate sidechained to a different track with for example a hat or something (or any other short percussive sound, works best), just something that allows you to write the pattern in MIDI. I use the first on audio files and the second on stuff coming out of a live synth.
  18. Aye, it's brilliant stuff, intensely psychedelic, super groovy, banging, acidic, alien and squelchy; produced to crystal clear standards. Nothing wrong with darkpsy but I personally find it far too drilling and sometimes a bit depressing. By a long stretch my favourite stuff to dance to at night except perhaps darker goa. Bom Shanka distribute free mp3s of all their releases: http://www.bomshanka.com/freeMP3s Worth checking Synthetik Chaos and Neutral Motion, not sure if they've released anything yet but the later I've had the fortune of seeing frequently in London for the past year and he's awesome. Worth keeping an eye on Loose Connection as well: http://www.myspace.com/looseconnectionpsy
  19. Never been great myself with genre names and subgenre classifications so feel free to correct me but round the UK we call those night psy / forest psy depending on the artist. More darkpsy in parvati however. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=TP7jnaRti4A http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjLnyp-Xb1w
  20. Worth raiding Wildthings Records and Parvati Records catalog, might change your mind. Bom Shanka perhaps too.
  21. Big fan of the tune in Goatronika, will be checking those out for sure after the weekend.
  22. I actually meant it, but as you were.
