  1. I'm with Ivan, I do also find all that fairly tiresome. I don't post much, but as a reader, sometimes is quite difficult to follow a thread as they tend to get derailed fairly quickly by this.
  2. Check Kained and Able out, might be close to what you're after. Thought Crime could be one tune.
  3. He-Man is such a queen... http://7chan.org/fl/src/hey.swf
  4. Indeed. Everyone's buttons are on different places, so to speak.
  5. This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D84yKDS8cSo That won me back from just psy when it came out. Very intense, and it goes mental towards the end, after 6:30 is pure brain meltdown. The recoup at 7:23 is beyond insanity.
  6. I didn't know about Audacious, looks nice and simple and I like my software just like that these days.
  7. thanks for friendship. *nix and psytrance production, good to know nabla make music too :)))

  8. W7 turns out to be very good for audio apps. Anything that's not audio I do on an ubuntu machine. I've been using Linux for the past 15 years and I have to say the linux desktop has come a gigantic way in the past few years. Well recommended! If ya wanna try it out, get a 1GB (min) usb stick and http://unetbootin.sourceforge.net/ and try it out on a bootable pendrive.

    Machete

I found it hilarious, particularly Machete jumping off a building with someone's intestines as a life string.
  10. Personally I call the whole lot "goa", and only go the "neo/psy/dark..." route if I need to be specific.
  11. I guess what's debatable is whether it's artsy or not. The artist seems somehow reduced to choose whatever they think best from a pool of randomly generated noises, so even if they didn't really design those, they chose whichever arrangement of sounds they thought best. And the act of choosing can't possibly be random, they will cherry pick whichever fits better with their understanding of music. Not being familiar with the process itself, I'm just guessing what's randomly generated are pools of noises, but the overall flow & story of the track is under the artists control and there's nothing really random about it. Those two are of equal importance, to me, in music. There's more than one aspect to music creation. I personally enjoy some of the dark stuff, given the right moment.
  12. Thanks for the nice comments! Is Pause No is a very special tune to me, glad you guys like it.

    Track to id

Ahhh that vid brings back memories, can't wait for Ozora 2011!
  14. Funny how that happens every single year! Not long now until people start mentioning "drought" and "heat wave" at (25-27 degrees tops)... actually it ain't too bad out there today, might go for a pint. No many pubs with gardens to be found in southwark though.
  15. No, chorizo cular even though those slices are far too thin! But seriously, is this for real?
  16. Sounds like 34 fragments of exactly the same tune going through a cheap limiter +15db too loud; what's the deal with this, is it really a very meticulously prepared joke?
  17. http://documentaryheaven.com/the-mystery-of-empty-space/ Extremely interesting talk on what's really going on on "empty" space, gravity, the higgs boson.
  18. I like the idea of shooting laser guns, on a mattress store or otherwise.
  19. Thanks dude! And likewise Ivan, it's always a pleasure to work with you guys, nothing but good experiences. Looking forward for more.
  20. I originally got into music through Mike Oldfield. Not just listening, but listening. I spent all my time listening to Tubular Bells II, Platinum, Ommadawn, Crises etc on my crappy JVC walkman. I got into electronica via The Songs of Distant Earth. The first time I "got" what Amarok is about was one I will always remember, particularly the last couple of minutes. I learned to play guitar by patiently dissecting In Dulci Jubilo's guitar solo; the flute with Portsmouth. The ideas of harmony I have in my head and I put down as bsf tunes I owe more to him than any actual trance music. And fuck yeah, his old live videos kick awesome arse: He's my idol, if I ever had one.
