  1. I've always been a huge fan of E-Mantra's work. I don't know, maybe I am on the same wavelength or whatever, but his music does everything right for me and immediately sends me on a fantastic journey...it just connects to all the right synapses in my brain. When will it be available?
  2. Just ban him already. Let's see who freaking cares. //Edit: @mars: What about a release of Filteria's Lunar Remix of "Lunar Civilization"? Any news?
  3. I just will never understand people like you...you must be a sore loser if it really gives you that much excitement trolling around internet forums, annoying people. I've known some people in real life, who act just like you do (in this forum), and they were exactly that...sore losers. The kind of people who NEVER speak their opinion openly in public or confronting people face to face. So all they do is to get rid of their frustration online. If you're really so content with what you're doing right now in your life, your techno and house music (that no one really cares about, right? Are you envious that AP always attracted more people than you did, even more nowadays than you did at any given moment with your music back then? Is that the source of your frustration?) and all that, why do you keep coming back here? Just for bitchin' around and making fun of people or even a whole scene? If that's the case, then you're just pathetic, just admit it and it's fine. Or do you really think you'd be so much more ahead of the people who are "stuck in the past" by flaming here? Then you've got some serious issues, man. Naahh...doesn't matter, you've got issues, my bet.
  4. You're even lower than I initially thought. //Damn, no ignore list on this forum
  5. If you need to continue commenting negatively about a legendary psytrance/goatrance project you only have spite left for, and their upcoming (whether or not they're going to be released, we'll see) releases, then maybe, just maybe you should ask yourself if it is not time to leave this thread. Seriously man, there's a lot of elitist, snobby behaviour, and generally negative "vibration" in a lot of your posts in this forum. Makes me wonder why you even come here...
  6. Ah...my past, my present, my future. From metal I was born, to metal I shall vanish Seriously, before I discovered Goa/Psy around 1997 or so, I listened to Metal and its various subgenres, and I still do. I could list countless bands from all kinds of genres, but since the OP talked about ambient metal, some of my all-time favorites came to my mind. Old "My Dying Bride" for example, especially the stellar - and still unmatched - "Turn Loose The Swans" album. It's still brilliant after all those years. But, just dropping names of dozens of bands is not very effective imo. As far as an ambient sound in Black Metal is concerned, I'll give two recommendations. The first one is a rather old band, who only released one album and then vanished afterwards. They announced a re-union some years ago, but never released new material afterwards iirc. Still, releasing just one masterpiece album at age 18 and then just disbanding is somehow impressive. Vinterland - Welcome My Last Chapter Playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeZkEjL6NvE&feature=BFa&list=PL29BCA94ADA87426E&index=16 Be sure to check it out. It's one of the best Melodic Black Metal albums ever, period. The other act is a newer one, performing "Post Black Metal". "Post Rock", "Post Metal", so I guess there has to be "Post Black Metal" as well. Whatever you want to call it, it's just awesome. Someone mentioned "Wolves In The Throne Room". Here you go: Altar Of Plagues - Earth: As A Womb http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qxB3tZscZM Pretty relaxing and trancy imo.
  7. Came back from a 14-hour shift helping out at my brother's bar...now chilling to Cabeiri while having a beer
  8. Which is a good thing. I meant that it is rarely played at parties around my location, not that the music itself is uncommon. Any recommendations apart from the Wildthings acts?
  9. Good choice! How about this? Sadly, I don't hear this kind of music that many times on parties around here. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpqBVqzHu9c&feature=related
  10. Wow, excellent review. I agree with everything you said. It was a blind buy because I ordered some other stuff. I didn't regret it, because I would've been glad to spend the money only for "I'll be there". From the beginning to the end, it really is a masterpiece. At around 3:00, when the male voice says "here.....now", it always sends shivers down my spine, it really is pure musical magic and bliss. It's the kind of music you can experience nature to and feel like having an epiphany for the blink of an eye. Massive props to CJ Catalizer & Zymosis for the stellar original song, though. Check out this fan video (switch to HD resolution and turn up the volume of your headphones ) for the original song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5MjP6UqVK4 Awesome.
  11. The artwork might not be so good, but the album is a BEAST. I've been dancing like crazy to it.
  12. Exactly what you said. :-)
  13. After listening to it over and over again, I can safely say that this is the album of the year so far. It's on par with the classics and best ones in the whole genre.
  14. Whoa! Listening right now! Edith says: Track 1: Sounds like an awesome sci-fi intro :-) Track 2: Niiice. Track 3: Beast! Track 4: Baaam, massive, massive stuff. Track 5: Groovy and somewhat melodic, I like it. Track 6: Interesting and very fresh...never heard something like it. Track 7: Somewhat darker mood here...I'd like to hear the full track! Track 8: Sounds like a nice, full throttle conclusion to the album. ==> Can't wait for next week! Thanks for sharing, dude.
  15. No way...he really exists after all. Or it's just Penzoline socket pupping!
  16. I still can't believe he's for real :-D
  17. Off your list, I can recommend "Tickets" for sure (one part of Brethren, the other part being "Phyx", they are real-life brothers). One of my all-time favorites! Check it out: Tickets - Power Of Fear http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-xoeONwXlc Tickets - Tinnitus (including unique 8-bit feeling with one of the most memorable transitions in a track EVER) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfZqyALqM8E Slug has become too cheesy, but that's just my opinion/taste. Since we already spoke of Brethren and Tickets, let's not forget the other Summs brother, Phyx. If you only check out one track, make sure it's "Evolver", if you check one track by Shift, make sure it's "Pump". //Oh and Edith says, that the only "real" full-on artist I still like and listen to from time to time is RAZ (Raz Kfir), e.g. (h)ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXSOmpFuBYE. His last efforts are available at ektoplazm, http://www.ektoplazm.com/2011/raz-static-noises and http://www.ektoplazm.com/2010/raz-recorded-dreams
  18. Thread hijacking detected I can imagine you could like Tristan, e.g. http-~~-//http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ed-79-oG70&feature=related or Avalon, but you'll probably already know him, as you seem to be familiar with the UK stuff. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh5xRgNUUoc&feature=related Avalon can be somewhat darker, though, especially his collaborations with e.g. Parasense. A good, no cheese, melodic morning sound would be Atma, I guess. Saw him live and it was a really good vibe! Check him out on youtube.
