  1. Well, you certainly live up to your Avatar picture. The Joker never was funny, too.
  2. Be sure to check out all of his 102 masterpieces! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=404404
  3. My parents have the Oxygene and Equinoxe vinyl and with them, they probably introduced me to electronic music. Back then, I couldn't understand or grasp the greatness of this music. My favorites are Oxygene 1, 4, 8 and Equinoxe 1, 2, 5. I think that Jarre truly is a genius and countless times I've wanted to have a time machine, so that I'd be able to go back through time to watch his concerts, e.g. La Defense, Houston, Pyramids and Docklands concerts. I've never seen events of such grandeur and magnitude and everytime I watch them on TV, I get goosebumps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUXn1jr4GnE
  4. Nah, I didn't mean it that way. It's more like saying that if even DUKE NUKEM FOREVER finally gets released (something nobody expected to happen any more), then chances might still be there, that AP will release their album
  5. I'll probably speak only for myself, but as this is one of my favourite songs of all time, I'd like to hear a proper psytrance remix of http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glhZI86Ed2s&fmt=18 I just love it. Back in those days I made myself a 90 minutes tape with just this song on it, so I that I could listen to it on my car's stereo, while cruising through the whole area. On sunny days I would open my car's roof and...just have a good time. By the way, I think that some other RMB songs deserve a remix as well, especially Reality (!), Redemption, Love Is An Ocean. Maybe some Members Of Mayday songs as well, like Sonic Empire, Save The Robots. Another song, which immediately came to my mind, was Narayan by Prodigy. But guess what, Protoytpe already made a remix of that one. I'm still not sure if I really like it, but it has some good moments http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAb768H4saI
  6. Maybe the both of you aren't up to speed, but Duke Nukem Forever was playable at the recent PAX and will be released this year As far as the AP EP is concerned: I liked the samples of the "Humans Will Play For Robots (Chillout Mix)" a lot...that was really great and showed their talent for creating a great atmosphere in their tracks. "We Have The Technology" sounds very good, too. I can see myself trance-dancing to it very well. Considering their awesome Jarre remix of "Oxygene 8", I'm pretty convinced that their upcoming album will be a hit!
  7. Don't mention it...everything's fine, dude. I also cooled down
  8. I never gave any value for what you did? Are you serious? Let me tell you something, I gave you exactly what you wanted for your work. I gave you my money. What do you want from people? I told you that you have an undeniable talent as a producer (that's respect towards your skill), that I bought your records (monetary manifestation of the respect towards your skill) and that I like your music (very much, that is). So, you've released stuff for free, thanks for that and I am sure lots of people thanked you for that. What else do you expect? If you want people to "love" you on top of that, then I recommend you to stop being easily offended and behaving like a spoiled child. That includes your past with Metapsychic. You've been talking about music industry and if you want to be a part of it, you will have to meet certain standards of professionalism. That would include that you'd have to (and should) listen to your customers (me) and your fans (was me). Telling them (me) to GROW UP! isn't exactly the way you should behave, especially if you're wrong like you're right now. //Edit: [...] customers (was me)[...] //Edit2: Just while I was browsing some other topics here, I found this post made by you: So, someone made a free VST, which you use to create music, of which you think people should pay money for. Why not pay money to the ppl that made the VST in the first place? Was it not good enough to pay money for? Or should it have been free-to-download instead of being sold because of any reason? I'd really like you to explain your concept of things being worthy or even being required to be sold at a certain price...
  9. I think that's a misconception there. How can you possibly talk of people, who release their music for free, as people accepting their own slavedom and public exploitation? How can ppl be exploited if they don't expect (and want) any other reward than respect and "love" for their work? Imo your opinion is ridiculous. That does not include or condone piracy of any IP! Again, I'd like to mention free software projects (UNIX-derivates), projects like Wikipedia and COUNTLESS other projects of all kind, that define the meaning of ALTRUISM, very much in contrast to what you propose. I think you should think about the context in which you use words like "slavery" and "exploitation", because both tend to be a characteristic of our economic system (and SEVERE historic facts) and have nothing to do with ppl releasing any of their IP to the public for free. Having said that, don't you think that "slavery" and "exploitation" are a characteristic of "industry", which is a part of the term you used, "Music INDUSTRY"?! Exactly. And please don't try to talk about the Goa scene, its history and ppl loving it while connecting it to the music industry of today, because it'd be an insult for sure. That reminds me of your own past with Metapsychic Records, to be honest. http://www.myspace.com/metapsychicrecords Again, to be honest, I've voted for your Lost Buddha work in the neogoa.tk poll, but reading your statements here makes me feel sorry for having bought your records (Amithaba as well), because despite of your undeniable talent as a music producer, I don't support your opinions on some topics and I wonder if we'd get along in "real life". I have my doubts, though...
  10. If people want to release their stuff for free, they should do it, regardless of the quality. If a release that cost money pales beneath a free-to-download release, so what? The same goes for free software. There's a lot of free software out there, that often surpasses its commercial alternatives and if their respective authors don't want money for their work - maybe donations at best - then that's entirely their choice and there's no reason to complain about that. There's just no "should" or "ought to" in that topic...if it's their IP, they can do anything they want to with it.
  11. I wouldn't even call it darkpsy. It pretty much defies the definition of a single genre.
  12. Though Pleiadians' Electra is easily one of the best psychedelic tracks out there - and at first I wanted to name that one, too - it's the word "challenging", that let's me refrain from naming "Electra" as the track that would match the OP. "Electra" is a work of genius, but it's not challenging imo. If it comes down to challenging psychedelic masterpieces, there can only be one track imo...it's far superior to anything else I ever heard in that respective niche. Psykovsky vs. Deja Vu Project - Only Love (We Will Take) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AVVhyLsstc Bear in mind, that the video shows only half of the track, as the complete version is over 20 minutes long. Yet not a single second feels like wasted time. It's the sheer brilliance of the composition that lets the listener, who wants to challenge this track, embark on a journey through different soundscapes, places in your mind, like no other track does. Yes, it is challenging, but if you're in the mood to listen to it thoroughly, it's so rewarding that no other track comes even close to it. Make sure to listen to the full version, turn up the volume or use headphones (even better), tune in and have a nice trip.

    Machete

I don't think he's overrated. Desperado was a good action flick, not a standard one. From Dusk Till Dawn was superb and his part in Four Rooms was the best one by far. Ok, the Spy Kids movies were average at best, but then you've got some masterpieces like Sin City and Planet Terror (yes, that's a masterpiece, too, albeit a B-movie style one...but that was the aim of the Grindhouse Special), so all in all, as an action movie director, he's A-class for sure.

    Machete

When I first saw the fake trailer during the Tarantino/Rodriguez "Grindhouse Special", I was like WTF?!?! And I think pretty much everyone else was totally blown away then. Everybody thought "Aww how cool would that movie be?". Finally, Rodriguez decided to actually make it. The new trailer is awesome as well, but I really can't stand Michelle Rodriguez...I dislike her in every movie. The second thing is, that the violence in the movie, although totally over the top, seems to lack the kind of...I don't know how to say that...humorous aspect, making it probably hard to watch, at least for me. Other than that, it's a brilliant cast for sure, and I'm looking forward to it.

Also, probably the best coverart I've seen in a long time, Battle Of The Future Buddhas & Ka-Sol - Masters Of Outhouse, would be my absolute favorite, but I reckon that would not count as NEOGOA, would it?
  16. Uh...a bit more information about the book might prove helpful Have you tried something like this? http://en.lmgtfy.com/?q=psychedelic+trance+filetype%3Apdf Or did you do a goole books/scholar search?
  17. WTF? What about the pictures, selling for 1000$, and all the random German words in in? At a loss for words... //Edit: Aww come on... The Man With No Name Remix is SO awful...can't believe it. And a new category on his site. "Marry Me". "I'm NHJO HYENNRO and read my profile and marry with me. I'm 181cm, 94kg. from Korea Seoul. nhjo_hyennro@hotmail.com I love Musician, Sports, Model Woman." I bet he'll end up doing something like this, or even worse. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/12/world/asia/12korea.html?_r=1
  18. Damn, that really, really sucks. Not only did you miss your party/live act, but I was eagerly awaiting their response to their album release.
  19. Hans Zimmer - Dream Is Collapsing, from the Inception score. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imamcajBEJs It's so mesmerizingly epic, I can't resist it.

  22. Damn...really sorry to hear that. I liked them a lot and expected a nice reboot of the site after some announcements. Guess there weren't enough donations made. Damn, I didn't donate, too.
  23. Nice. Thanks. Good to see some love for Error Corrective!
