+1 I like the voice samples.

Yes, it's more than anyone could ask for...incredible. I donated, but if I'd be honest, 100, 200, even 300 Euros would not have been enough for the benefit I got from that site. A best of Ekto sampler was released just recently and I'm really looking forward to the coming changes.

Absolum is really very good. I liked old Talamasca stuff as well. I once saw this video before staying in Japan and it actually made me want to go to trance parties over there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CG0zyt91YaU Talamasca - Overload. But afterwards he only produced cheesy stuff. Said cheesy stuff is (or was, don't know) especially popular in Japan. I attended a party at the Zepp in Tokyo with Astrix, Pixel and some other guys and I couldn't stand it. The music was soooo cheesy and the crowd attending was mainly "overdressed" and either didn't care about the music at all (not that it would have changed anything, as the music was crap), or just raved, but without connection to the music - if you know what I mean. Anyways, sadly there seems to be quite a big market for that kind of cheesy full-on, as the Zepp is one of the biggest venues in Tokyo and it was basically sold out. On numerous other occasions crappy acts like Perplex, Mad Hatters and so on draw lots of people, where as other acts failed to draw any attention. Cheap, bland, boring full-on = full house.

Thanks! Yes my neighbours are pretty cool, but I am very forgiving, too. So if they decide to party I don't care. They complained once or twice when I was watching movies late at night, but I could perfectly understand, bought a bottle of wine for them and everything was good again.

At home: CD: Onkyo DX-7211 Amp: NAD 316 BEE Speakers: Dali Zensor 5 On the go: Sony NWZ-S638 Denon AH-C710 I changed the silicone/comfy foams for triple flanges, which I cut so that they fit my ears perfectly. It's like having new earphones and I absolutely recommend trying that for anyone who doesn't have custom fit earplugs. I'm happy with my setups so far.

NHJO HYENNRO - BITTE @ NHJO HYENNRO RECORDS.

Better, but still boring and way too repetitive. -
You ride a bike?

that'S veeery nice. Haven't seen that one before!

Actually I like good full-on...as all good music. What I really cannot stand are those damn breaks and stupid build-ups that lead nowhere and just interrupt you from doing anything, i.e. having fun. But give me good full-on and I'm all over it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIINKcwOk1U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6YPuK5czu4 Hyperion, Digicult, Raz, U-Recken...there are some good full-on producers. But of course there are Beat Hackers, Perplex and all that crappy stuff....

I'd recommend to practice your English, though. I just had a look at the videos on your youtube channel and I have to say that ppl probably wouldn't listen to a lengthy vid about psy. Just my 2 cents.

What is your education or for what kind of job do you apply? Have you thought about coaching or something like that in order to prepare you better for interviews?
-
@Rotwang Huh. Never thought of you to be unemployed. Why is it that you are unemployed, if I may ask? @Procyon I perfectly understand what you're saying about Japan and living there...at least I think so. Me, I have never been unemployed. I always worked since the age of 12 or so, when I helped out in my parents bakery/pastry/grocery. After graduating from school I started going to college, Japanese and Chinese Regional studies. I always wanted to work in the Japanese video game industry and help localizing awesome titles for western markets. When I broke up with my then girlfriend, I basically lost track or focus or whatever you want to call it. So my work balance shifted from my studies to my jobs. Somehow I kinda stranded in my current job at a TV broadcaster, where I work as some kind of expert for Formula 1 and Boxing. In the end I graduated from college as well and got my diploma, but I just did that for myself. My Japanese language proficiency wouldn't be good enough to get a job in the industry I aimed for...it basically is just enough for everyday conversation. I sometimes want to really start practice again, in Japanese, French and I want to learn Italian, too. But time's always running and here in my rather small town there aren't that many possibilities to educate yourself as an adult. So I end up spending time on my hobbies and with people. I suppose if I ever should lose my current job it would be difficult for me to find another job. I could imagine working in other countries, but it would depend...

You're two favorite album of Goa & Psytrance

He's awesome, he's a nice guy and has produced some incredible masterpieces. But imo there are only two tracks which can compare to the best AP tracks, and those would be "One Love" by Electric Universe and "Portamento" under the Boris Blenn moniker. BUT, as far as the amount of killllaaaargh tracks on ONE album is concerned, how could one possibly beat this? 1. Kabalah 2. Enlightened Evolution 3. The Feelings 4. Utopia 5. Black and White 6. People Can Fly 7. Radial Blur (with MFG!) 8. Aurora Borealis 9. Still Dreaming (Anything Can Happen) Imo there might be three albums who can rival this tracklist, two of them are made by AP as well: Dancing Galaxy and as d.leerium (by the way, welcome!) posted, Another World. The third one could be I.F.O. So while Boris is - some would say WAS - an excellent producer, he never managed to release a single album of such outstanding quality as the ones I mentioned. At least imo, that is... -

Goa: Astral Projection - Trust In Trance For me it's the definition of everything Goa Trance stands for and it's impossible to exaggerate on the importance, quality, style and magic of this release. Even today it still mesmerizes me every time I listen to it. Psy: Cybernetika - Nanospheric This was A LOT harder to decide. But anyways, like I've said before, the guy's madly talented and the sci-fi touch of his productions is second to none. -
Old school gems deserving a remastering : list them

Pleiadians - Electra SynSUN - Deep -
Altar Records: http://altar.bandcamp.com/ Ultimae Records: http://ultimae.bandcamp.com/ Koan: http://koantunes.com/ super-awesome stuff...you could basically buy the whole back catalogue of all of those and probably would have only a few misses, but lots of serious hits.

When you're in need of some serious mindfuck...
ion1zed replied to Paul Eye's topic in General Psytrance
Mindfuck has to feature Psykovsky at some point. For me a serious mindfuck needs some crass visuals as well. Oh what do we have here? What a coincidence! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahRqogtIaag Watch it in a dark room on 50"+ screen, don't be too far away from the telly and turn up the volume.
