1) Shpongle London haloween live 2009 T-shirt 2) Samothraki dance fest 2001 T-shirt 3) Had a Moondust (India) festival 2006, that I got from the staff when I was there, but the quality was terrible, it didn't last more than a few months 4) Loads of hand painted or printed mushroom/tribal/nature/Indian/Tibetan themed t-shirts, but a bit on the subtle side, not very loud ... might get some photos to show you what I mean. I got them when I was backpacking in India, the best are from a guy in Pushkar,. Most cost less than 3 euros. I did so much shopping when I was backpacking in India, that I brought back around 50 t-shirts. I gave away to friends about half of them when I came back home (it's nice when I see them wearing them after so many years), then even more that don't fit me anymore. I've kept the best for me though!!!!! My mom even wears a T-shirt with a minimal Ganesha head and carries a hand-bag with a tibetan/third eye theme. She doesn't know what's the deal, she just like the design

I'll go with Procyon on this matter. A cafe is still another FOR-profit organisation. The only chance of such a cafe surviving is if it was something like an Electronica Cafe-Bar. So you'd play different kinds of easy-going (not the BOOM BOOM stuff) electronica through the day. like dub, psychill, LOW-BPM techno/acid trance/club-trance/prog and then you'd have themed nights like techno night, prog night, goa nights etc You mustn't forget that when people are having a coffee, they want to talk generally, not talk about music. A summer beach-bar would be a safer bet but then you'd need a lot of money for DJs playing different styles through the day

I'll show-off a bit and say that I'm very good at interviews, preparing CVs, writing Cover Letters,, and I owe it all to a wonderful lady "LESLIE from Newcastle", she was the career officer at my uni and she taught me the basics, when I was only 18, which I've refined over the years It's actually funny how a random meeting could have such a beneficial effect! Leslie had organised a placement/internship hunting seminar, it was a January 8:00 am MONDAY morning seminar... NO OTHER STUDENT came, it was only me and my GF in a huge conference hall. So she took our CVs, totally made them over from scratch and spent the next 2 hours tutoring us on interviews, preparing CVs, preparing CLs and then whenever I had an interview I'd go at her office and she'd give me tons and tons of advice and tricks. She was a great tutor because she was a mature student and had had a hard time finding decent jobs before she had a degree, although before coming to Uni she had reached middle managerial levels for Accenture, which is awesome for someone with only a college degree. Anyway, I have to go catch the train, but I'll get back and tell you some of the tricks... You'll be amazed at how much stuff there is! Sometimes you must oversell, others undersell yourself, be careful at what you wear, the colors, what you say about your old employers, turning disadvantages into advantages, studying about the company, going into LinkedIN and Facebook and finding details about who is Interviewing you.... I actually enjoy job hunting because I know what I'm doing!

I actually prefer lving with them... then when I lived at my own place.

Although I now live in Greece and the Youth Unemployment Rate is close to 60% I've never been unemployed unless I wanted to be . I quit working in a bank on Feb and found a job within a month as an online marketing manager, although I have to travel 1,5 hours with public transport to get there. The future seems really grim though... I doubt the company will last the next 2 months.. To be honest, I wouldn't mind getting unemployment benefit.... I never have taken it and since I've been working almost non-stop except for my first year at uni I wouldn't mind taking a sabbatical for a few months, after all almost all my friends are unemployed it'll be like we are 17 again except now we have cars instead of bikes! As for working abroad, I worked in London but I didn't like it. London is an awesome place to go for holidays or for partying but working there I felt suffocated, especially the fact that people walk like they are on fire.

Post the most powerful-super intense Goa tracks
Trunksan replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
I wasn't familiar with faithealers either... It's only one EP released and Kris played both tracks, kind of a tribal Juno Reactor sound with some female vocals (haven't found it on youtube) EON (element over nature) I already knew and again it's only a few tracks... Almost all his stuff is great!!!! -

Well, being in Europe has its benefits, despite our huge financial problems Anyway a lot of UX track could hold the most powerful intense goa tracks title ... But since I have a very fresh opinion (heard UX 3 days ago) I think "Space Puppy" was the most powerful track of the night -

Yes, it was a great night, albeit with not so many people, you can find pics on the FB link that I posted above.... It was 2,5 INTENSE hours, everyone was exhausted from dancing. Kris (on his own) was drumming live with a drum kit on most tracks, I think he's touring europe at the moment as UX-Live UX - Sub Un Net - Faithealers - Eon project didn't make all that many tracks, so we got to hear almost all of their upbeat tracks + Slide's (1/2 of original UX) Wakin up to chaos (A tottaly chaotic track) + Klling Joke (Youth's band) - Sacred freedom (UX remix). It really helped that last year there was a UX reloaded released so the sound had VERY NICE QUALITY compared to the originals of the 90's. -

What the fuck is this????? I would have never thought this was Wizzy... which cd is it from? -
I don't like the original karahana,,, but the Hallucinogen remix It also has a widespread appeal, I've played it at cluby-trance crowd and they loved it... from around 2:00 the middle were that hypnotic melody (not on the original) comes on.

I tend to agree... Whether you got college/uni or not, ages between 17 and 20 are the best. I had a blast.. they only thing I regret is that I didn't do EVEN MORE stuff. Looking back, I should have studied less (I studied a lot at uni) partied more, exercised more and worked more. I did a lot of stupid stuff... but I think that's just part of growing up... I should have done even more stupid stuff. Despite being a student with high grades and a job, at that time, I was very worried about my professional future, which I think held me back in terms of having fun... but again... confidence comes with age and experiences, I think now I'm much more relaxed than I was 10-13 years ago.

Greek, English, Italian, Spanish and a little French... I was very lucky to have 2 great Spanish teachers at Uni and very unlucky to have an awful French teacher. (languages were an optional free course). Since I speak Italian, Spanish and also did Latin at school, I can read Portuguese very easily but never got around to studying it, in fact I can understand a lot of stuff when Portuguese ppl speak but when Brasilians open their mouth, I'm totally lost. EXCLUDING ENGLISH - Depending on were you leave, some languages are more useful, I'm talking professionally! i.e North America: Spanish South America: Portuguese or Spanish (if you are Brasilian) Central/Northern Europe: German Eastern Europe: German and Russian Iberic: Spain - Portuguese (Vice Versa) Obviously this is a generalisation but it holds some truth,,, In Greece, I'd say Italian and German would be the most useful (unlike French, which is quite popular),

Ex-Banker Marketing manager / Website manager / Teacher for a school/training center for adults (after downsizing, what was done by 3 ppl, I do on my own) Although I doubt the company will last the next 2 months. At least I'll get unemployment benefits after they close.

In Greece the situation's a bit wierd. There have and will be a lot of old-school parties this year (Joti Siddhu, Darshan, BPC, The delta, soon UX, soon Shakta, rumors also about Prana) and on a few occasions there is a goa stage, while on the main stage the play modern Full-on or Dark-psy, but it's exactly the same crowd from 10-15 years ago. So you have a club full of 30-40 year olds... The younger crowd has very little presence in old-school/goa parties and the music being played is not New-School. Although I've noticed that there are some Greek goa artists on the rise: predators, radical distotion, cactus arising, Siam and others... so there is hope!!

Getting to Lost Theoey from Greece... is a FUCKING PAIN. One must go al the way to Zagreb and then come south to the festival! My only chance is getting on a tour bus to Dubrovnik (they go through Albania) but just pay for the transport and not go with the tour... will have to negotiate this. Ozora seems more likely than then rest ATM, wouldn't exclude flying there.
-
I've also heard positive stuff.. will check it out
-
I agree with padmapani, overall SUN has a more balanced/mellow line-up, a bit on the safe side. On the other hand Lost Theory has a lot more new and alternative artists. Anyway, last year I wanted to go to Lost Theory.... I'd love to go this year.... we'll see, everything can change quickly!!! I could to Croatia with a bus from North Greece, I wouldn't mind.
-
I agree, SUN has a quality line-up.. It's my first choice!!

Hi, I'm starting organising for this year's summer... I will have a VERY VERY busy time the next months, I'm hoping to finish my projects (building my house) until June, so with whatever pocket change I'll have left I REALLY REALLY wanna go to one of the big festivals, since the past 2 years I haven't been to one. I've been noticing that there's been a shift in having a lot of retro acts, ZNA is the first that comes mind, SUN festival also has a good mix of classic and new acts, OZORA is good as always, Freedom also has a strong line-up... Anyway, I think the festivals are very good this year, my first choice would be SUN, but I don't know if I'll be able to get the days off from work in July , OZORA seems a bit more easy with the dates. and third would be ZNA but getting from Greece to Portugal can be a pain... not so many flights, and they can be expensive unless I do something like Bus to Patra -> Ryanair to Wherever -> Wherever to Portugal. So how about your plans????

I'm kind of proud that I can track myself at 2 of those videos. 1)At Samothraki 2001 I'm somewhere behind the firetruck, I think it was when GMS was playing... I heard Gamma Goblins GMS rmx for the first time and fell in love with the track. 2) Filteria Aurora 09 - I'm somewhere around the Belgians, I saw one of my m8s and my GF
