aaa, you are probably talking about Kyriakos (DJ Sunborn). He's playing at the goa guardians night but he's not really an organiser. Edit: ... and yes he's a bit hard to get along with!

Who? P.s. I don't know the any of the main organisers

Both festivals are great but I can't go to Connection because my fiancee can't take holidays during that time of the year. It's a subjective matter but I'd choose ZNA because of the rarity of some of the acts (Magus, Igneous Sauria, Ree K, Sheyba, Miranda...). As for the night V day: For outdoor festivals I've always been a morning person. I usually put my alarm clock at ~5 in the morning so that I have my breakfast and coffee with the sunrise and then I'm off for a morning of dancing. In some countries (Mediterranean for sure) ,in the summer, I think the music must stop at ~13:00. It's not healthy to stay that time of the day under sunlight, even indirect. Given that I live in Greece, I go to the beach around 4-5 in the afternoon, before that I find it annoying and unhealthy.

I'm not so much into Techno but I have to say that on Saturday I had a blast at the "Tokyo City" bar at Thessaloniki Greece. This was the event: I was working at the Thesalloniki International expo and as I was returning to the hotel I just picked up the beat, left my colleagues at the hotel and went to party on my own. Some great deep, acidic, melodic sometimes even psychedelic techno. Left at 9am and went straight to work, after I finished the initial stuff I had to do, I took a yoga mat and slept at the maintainance balcony of the expo hall, only to be woken up by security (who of course knew who I was) because they called them that some vagrant was sleeping at the balcony. Anyway, they were glad that I had a good night and they woke me up at a good time to go back to work. This is their resident Dj I think: My remarks: We need to get better sound systems at psy parties because their Funktion-one "Dance stack" was simply superb. Techno people need to relax a bit, their dancing is so mechanic and stiff... GET SOME FLOW PP!

Infinity project - World of the acid dealer is a quite famous track. I'll throw a track that I doubt anyone has heard of: TYOUSSi - Shofou and there's also the unrelease Wizzy noise Goa album, which as much as I've asked people, those who have it (in Good quality)don't want to share it. -
Indirectly related to psy/goa. I bought myself these jogging headphones and my GF made a pendant/pouch so I can have it on my neck 24/7 (except for bath and sex), so I will listen to goa/psy and other music on the road or when I'm exercising outside the house. I had cheap Chinese retractable jogging headphones, but because of the wear and tear they fell apart quickly so I decided I'd buy the original. They are good for 15 eur and stylish (same colour as photo).

On Friday, second time being at an Alwoods event this season. This time he took a more proggy approach (last time was totally tribal/mystical/paganistic,), it was good but last time was magical so most ppl were a bit disappointed. Anyway, we had a good time, a lot of nice friendly ppl and a very family-like atmosphere along with good music.

I'm 100% with you on this. Even though the sexual aspect isn't really present unlike other types of electronic music like house or techno, Psy/Goa is hedonism to the MAX! Like a friend of mine says: Good Psy on LSD beats great sex every day!

When I was younger, more naive and hopefully less-wise (in the sense that now I'm wiser) I tried to attach meanings and metaphors to all kinds of things (mostly art). Now I see how naive and non-pragmatic, that thing was. Music and art, in general, can create a certain feeling and/or thought process but, for me, in the end, it's just entertainment and shouldn't be taken very seriously, If there's one conclusion that I've come to is: Economic prosperity is the biggest catalyst in bringing change to the world. Once you have a home and food in your mouth, you can start investigating higher meanings. Until that happens, all political theories and spiritualistic mambo jumbo belong in the garbage bin. It's the same reason why people in the Middle East don't seem to give a shit about Democracy (and Americans wonder why that is the case). With an empty stomach, the only thing you have in mind, is how to fill it.

can i start a go fund campaign to go to ZNA?
Trunksan replied to technosomy's topic in General Psytrance
You had Earthcore last week, I know it's not the same quality as ZNA bu still "It's something". My mate Haris Papadimitriou (DJ Fishimself) was one of the Chill-stage managers there and after that he was in Japan for a couple of gigs with Matsuri so he's going to have a lot of stories to tell us the next weeks! -

I think your best option is to look for promotional flight tickets from AUS to Europe, rather than selling your "property". There are offers that last only a couple of days and it's hard to find them BUUUUUT there are 3 websites that I use that gather these deals (well, there are more sites I found these to be the most active) and I've also put them first at my FB feed in order to be aware of promotional deals. For example I booked plane tickets from Athens to Santorini for the summer (super high season) for 40 eur, when boat tickets cost about 80 eur and normal plane price for that time of the year start from 120 eur. I would look for a cheap plane ticket to any Western European country and then try to combine it with a low cost flight or bus trip or train trip in order to get to Portugarl or even Western Spain and then get a bus to the fest or rent a car. The websites I've found to be best are fly4free,secretflying and flynous. Some deals that come up are mind-blowing! This year I'm limited to what I can do because of ZNA but next summer I'll try to visit some exotic destination like South America or IndoChina. I've also gathered enough miles on my credit card to have 2 long-haul flights (one for me one for my fiancee) so I'll probably go to India for a month and then go to ZNA. ... the perks of not having children and being mortgage and rent free!! -
ZNA Gathering - 22 -> 28th August 2017 (Portugal)

Already got early bird tickets, they were sold out at about an hour but I was of the first people to get in queue (made a post about it at the main forum). I'm traveling with my fiancee and 3 other people from my town, also 2 girls from Athens are part of our "crew" and another Greek couple that is now living in Malaga, Spain and will join us in Lisbon. At least 20 people from Athens and nearby towns that I know of, will also be coming. Some have already booked their plane tickets, I'm booking them around the 20th of December (when my credit card will have some credit). We'll rent a car and will also rent a house at a nearby village for anyone that will want to have some decent sleep and a warm bath. It's going to be FANTASTIC!- 20 replies

Thinking about going to GnR concert in Italy (Imola race track )in June. I'll probably combine it with a weekend in Florece (love this city!)
-
It's all about preferences, I'm not so much into thrash. I don't like Possessed and Kreator even less. I'll only go to Possessed if a friend of mine insists (she probably will!)
-
I don't like most Thrash bands (I might go to Possesed in 4 weeks though) , but Testament I really enjoy. Last night with Skolnik at guitar and Holgar at the drums they were great, the band was in a good mood, the place was packed and the crowd energetic! I got drunk but didn't really mosh, wasn't really in the mood for it.

I don't care about Metallica, now they are just making music to pay bills. It has nothing to do with honest music creation/inspiration. A few hours ago I was at "High on Fire" (Matt Pike's of "Sleep" fame band) it was good (nothing spectacular like the Finnish OP) but it was very reminiscent of Motorhead and I had a good time! Talking about old School thrash metal.... next Monday it's time for the real thrash MASTERS: Testament!!!!!
