I've uploaded the rare Sheyba track "Monkeys" to SoundCloud. Enjoy the free download in wav (2011 mastered version) Written & Produced in 1996 by Jean Borelli / C.Anderson (Kristian Thinning) 2011 Mastered version Recorded at The Green Nuns Of The Revolution Studio, London, UK. It was released in 1996 on the compilation "DJ Guy - Trance From Israël" without the permission from Sheyba. It's never been released elsewhere. http://soundcloud.com/sheyba

I did a fast upload to SoundCloud. You can now download the 2011 mastered version in wav. Enjoy http://soundcloud.com/sheyba

Illegal sharing? It's my own track. Nothing illegal here. Move on
-
Nahhhhh no need to release it when we can give it away for free
-
In a few days I will make it available in wav (fresh new mastering) and mp3 for free download. Stay tuned

Nope because of the music played. I am a "tribal" person and either the music is darkpsy (not my cup o tea at all) or in between full-on/progressive (also not my cup of tea). I guess the music I am into (deep not too fast tribal) regarding Forest parties are no longer

I agree it should. But let's be honest now. When you got a lot of artists and DJs and a concert atmosphere where people applaud each act in the breaks (sometimes after each track) from act to act it's damn hard to get into a state of trance. As an example today's Festivals (especially the big ones) are more like commercial Rock Festivals which I think is great as well. But IMO especially small/medium or even big indoor parties could benefit from finding their way back to the roots, which is to dance yourself into a state of trance with the help of a continuous uninterrupted flow in music, and skip the obligatory "live-acts". Instead they could hire a small amount of DJ's who play long consistent sets with no interruption and "Hail the live-act and DJ gods" between each set. I know it's utopia but it would be nice
-
Exactly my point. A live act is better suited for Festivals and concerts. Not indoor parties where the goal should be to keep a flow in the party making sure people reach a state of trance. Otherwise why call it "Trance"?

I agree. I messed around with the tune and did some tweeks. Its not possible to get rid of the compression but I leveled out the volume and assigned a wider sound and also worked with EQ etc. I think it sound slightly better now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzBsEN_MyzQ

Seriously there should be less Best Live acts topics (no one play live anyway) and more "Who's the best DJ" topics as IMO a real party is when you got a few great Dj's playing long sets taking you on a Journey getting you into a real state of trance (after all that's what this scene is all about - or used to be). I challenge anyone to tell me that more than 0.5% of the total number of "live acts" can do that to you in a party. I myself haven't experienced any "Live act" whatsoever getting me into a state of trance as there's way too many breaks (pauses when a new band enter the stage) and applause making it impossible to get into a state of trance. On the other hand I have had many amazing experiences over the years dancing for hours and hours to great Dj's who knew how to communicate with the people on the floor getting every single of us into a state of trance (some of us even without the use of chemicals). BUT Eat Static is undoubtedly the best Live act I've ever seen within the borders of this scene..

Well if someone think it's a piece of crap its their right. No need to go bonkers over it. You guys need to learn to take criticism and stop being so sensitive toward the kind of music you like. I am sure many of you have listened to music you also find to be a piece of crap and probably also said so I do not have a personal opinion as I did not listen to the music. But believe me I have had my share of people calling my music crap. And I am OK with it. After all you cant expect everyone to share taste with you
-
That's called having a different opinion and taste than yours

Is progressive trance psy's subgenre? Or not?
Elysium replied to Procyon's topic in General Psytrance
Progressive PSY trance is basically just fullon slowed down. -
It will soon be on ektoplazm but in edited form (and new mastering) into an album called "From The Achieves"

Atmos - One You Need (Iboga Records)
Elysium replied to pr0fane's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
There are so many good covers around no matter genre (even though I have to say many psytrance/Goa covers haven't really moved forward much) so its really a matter of just looking. When that is said. Covers do not really seem that important any longer when it comes to online download shops. BUT a cover can indeed sell a release if correspond to the music and title. In this case I do see the point of the cover. Look at the title. "One You Need" and the humor in using a look-a-like Pepsi cola bottle. Cola is highly addictive and something a lot of people seem to "need" on a daily basis -

oh my god the cover does not have fractals... alert the news!!!! I'll rather comment on the music Nice job even though not my entire cup of tea -
My one and only point is to stop greeting new members with an attitude that might make them run away. I am sure everybody want this community to at least get 50% back to what it used to be. You wont get many new members when the first respond they meet is a die hard group of members telling them their taste suck. What about give them a warm welcome instead? Probably just a silly thought
-
No i did not. I did not tell anyone heir taste was less important or right than mine. I expressed MY POINT OF VIEW based on MY TASTE. I did not tell anyone their taste sucked! BIG DIFFERENCE!!!
-
I also do not share his/her taste but the way he was "greeted" by certain members should in my book cause them to be banned (if that's the way the admin wants to handle things here). I see no reason to such a unkind and IMO ignorant behavior. Yes the debate should indeed be free but is it really free here? Or is it monopolized by a few who just have to tell people their taste suck? Maybe food for thought to the new admin if this forum want new members that is?
-
Its amazing how little self-insight you so-called "open-minded" people have When criticized you get into defense mode... Point is you do not welcome new members with a taste you do not approve of...You ridicule them.... As I pointed out...maybe that's why you dont see many new members here Just a thought... Last: It's not your place to judge what a person should like or not. Keep that to yourself buddy!
