When is someone going to come up with something new?
Panoptes replied to fluorosis's topic in General Psytrance
In my view, in terms of innovation and sound design, dubstep, drum and bass, and bass house are genre's pushing the envelope. Psytrance has stagnated in a lot of ways. Just my 2 cents. -
and here is some drum and bass:

This ought to get you started dubstep wise. I can recommend more if you'd like

Thank you so much for the suggestions. I will be going over them and let you know which ones are my favorite

Hey thank you all for the responses so far. The track isn't goatrance. To be frank I'm not sure exactly what subgenre I'd attribute to it The bassline has more of a full-on sound sound design wise.

Hello psynews members! I've been out of the goa/psy loop for years at this point and I would love you all to point me to the best goa/psy music released in the past 4-5 years. I've been busy enjoying dubstep and drum and bass music and am finally ready to come back around to some proper psytrance. I'll list some of my old favorites to give you an idea of what I loved but feel free to share whatever you think is some of the best recent stuff out there. -etnica/ pleiadians/ crop circles , transwave, Blue Planet Corp, TIP, astral projection, filteria, hallucinogen, chi-a.d., MWNN, Shakta, Kox Box, DOOF, etc etc... Thanks for your recommendations

Hello, Its been a while since I visited this site, so Hi! I've got a track stuck in my head from a while back however I can't for the life of me find it or recall the name. I'll try my best to describe what all I can remember about the track and album cover. It is a newer track with crisp production (I'd guess 2011-2015 era). One thing that sticks out to me about the track is how melodic the bassline was. It starts out with melodic elements and some bitcrushed chords and drops into a rolling bassline which is amazing. At first the bassline isn't playing a single note repetitively but in a later section it does. The album cover is orange with some purple? I know that's not much to go off of but I know you big brain mofos out there might be able to point me in the right direction.

Hello, I'm trying to dive down the memory hole and recall these tracks I recall liking a while back. The album/ep was Japanese goa with a strange plateau in album artwork. Sorry that is all I'm going on at the moment. I'm sure one of the wizzes here will know what I'm talking about.

Panoptes replied to onkelbibber's topic in Music Making and Production/Industry
imba still bossing it up. Zebra is very good. If you have a trouble with the tone try different filter algorithms available inside. -
