  1. who is the bald guy in the first pic ?!?!?
  2. I used to sleep with music playing thus my left ear is noticeably damaged... but my other ear works great.
  3. Just turned 20. I guess I'm the youngest? :-P
  4. I think music is priceless and if an artist works for years on a single product it has every right to be worth what the artist deems suitable. considering that it's a limited release makes $23 not sound so bad
  5. Imagine if one in 100 Americans even knew what Goa trance was; things would be very different. I've heard of the parties in NYC but I have never been to one, I've never been to any in fact.I live 5 hours away from the city and it makes it very inconvenient for me. You're idea of throwing a party is great but the turnout in my area would be dismal Not to mention the fact that it would be hard to get the word out to the right people. I know how to use a cdj but I have no interest in being a dj.
  6. this is very unfortunate and concerning for a young Goa loving artist such as myself. I've been thinking of different means to introduce goa in the US, where the genre is unknown, making it an untapped market. Unfortunately image is quite important here and the current image is largely undefined or too hippiesk/drug related. I plan to present it as futuristic and sophisticated. Pure synthesis music or Pointillism applied to sound if you may. I've only met three or so people who knEw what goa was before I introduced the genre to them, this almost makes me miserable! I have no one to share my love with and I feel like a pariah. Americans will buy anything as long as it looks appealing and makes you feel like you are a part of something. Its worth a shot...
  7. I can't wait. I hope simon doesn't rush the completion of the album. The trilogy needs to be perfect
  8. Etch. Nice compression/filter/distortion tool. Easy to use and sounds good. http://www.fxpansion.com/index.php?page=172
  9. thanks I would love to hear it. And it would be an honor to have you remix one of my compositions.
  10. its hard to argue against ap. Both are great but AP are the OGs of the scene and are more consistant throughout their albums imo
  11. update : https://soundcloud.com/panoptes/energia
  12. Most drum/sample softwares I've seen don't even have wav capabilities unfortunately(or cost too much). I've been looking for something like this as well, with no luck. . It would come in handy.. recently I've been avoiding drum machine samples but I still throw in some 909 high hats here and there. When it comes to goa/psy trance I've been making all my percussive sounds using synthesizers, in the end it feels more rewarding knowing you sculpted the piece from scratch.
  13. Innershift is in another league compared to this album... and most of artha's tracks :- /
  14. the intro is cool but then it goes,,,,downhill from there imo
  15. I agree. I would save up for a powerful and versatile synth rather than a "trance and dance synth." The way they market it makes it sound like a one trick pony.
  16. I listened through the whole album. I would be happier if the album's sound would evolve more through out the track list; rather than all sounding quite similar.
  17. Keep at it. Work on the melodic elements of your music your kicks already sound cool. I like get high and mental dungeon
  18. lead sounds kinda similar. But your notes are off compared to the clip you played
  19. I don't care much for this one tbh. It has its moments here and there but most of the songs have very similar sounds going on in it which gets repetitive quickly. My favorite track is the ground 6.5/10
  20. I use cubase, but I can't imagine working over the internet. Seems impractical.
  21. I do agree with the fact that he makes texture based music and over half of melodies on his albums aren't notable ( apart from Daze of Our Lives). But some of his tracks are good its hard to deny that. Twisted system song was ok. I like how it picked up around 4:20ish but then those keys came in and seemed a bit enharmonic to me. Rest of song was fine. 6/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LJLMhlhfdM
  22. Not bad, but it getting repetitive after a while. Plus there is a lot of crackling going on as well. 5/10
