  2. Hey guys, this semester I signed up for a "club dj" class. My roommate who's mostly into DnB and old school dub-step took the class and recommended it to me so why not give it a try I have no experience and in fact never had much intrest for dj-ing. I assumed it was easy... that it wouldn't help me in anyway. I have several questions about creating such mixes. I already collected a bunch for tracks between 140-148 bpm. In the class we are using cdjs rather than turn tables thus manipulating the bpm is possible. picking the right tracks is key yes? do you manipulate the low and/or high end of the frequency spectrum while blending between songs? Is slamming ever used? From what I understand its only used in hip hop and such. I seems easier to blend tracks from the same artist ( at least to my ear) Should I avoid mixing a couple tracks from the same artist? (even though this is for class work only) Should I avoid cdjing goa? I feel like goa's high end of the spectrum is active to blend between songs easily and have it sound good. ~~~

  8. I'm an american. I'll be voting for the first time this year. I'm voting for ron paul , even if he runs independently. Rest of those guys are puppets.
  9. I don't know much about Korea but I do watch GSL (korean starcraft league) and they play random psytrance tracks before some of the matches. I thought it was kinda cool.

  11. well as long as you aren't damaging your ears from listening too long/too loud which i admit is a boundery push it at times. I am quite the hedonist, so that doesn't really help my health in any way :*(

  17. My parents always throw the new years parties. They're always fun but this one was great because I got to play some trancedance for my dad's polak guests. I think they enjoyed the change from the super cheesy shit my pops was playing

  19. get a daw and an interface. Get a simple synth. learn the basics. Decide what you need from there....
  20. thanks for the free Fx man. Anyother FX plugins worth buying? I use cubase so all my eq and fx are cubase vsts.
