  1. Is he starting to DJ and/or produce again? Surely a legend - one of the best sets I've ever heard was his set at VooV 2002.
  2. Artist: Sun Control Species Title: Rush Hour Label: Iboga Digital Format: MP3/Wave Catalogue number: IBOGADIGITAL25 Release date: August, 2008 Cover: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/drooid/3DNET-JPEG.jpg Release on Beatport: https://www.beatport.com/en-US/html/content...ush_hour_single Release information: The SCS project is back again in 2008. After a string of recent releases on Blue Tunes, Neurobiotics, a Joyce Mercedes release, and even featuring on John 00 Flemings Ministry of Sound Mix CD, Drew Davidson has put together a double track EP for digital release, containing two very different and original pieces. SCS - Rush Hour [Wombat Edit] is a sub-filled, heavily swung, grooving monster with an endless positive vibe. SCS - Snake Shake is a techy track that contains multiple sections; from darker, driving, rolling bass sections to groovy, synth laden sectors with stacks of dancefloor potential. These tracks have been extensively tested and approved by Iboga HQ - including DJ Emok and DJ Banel - at festivals and clubs the world over. 3. Title: Afterthoughts Made by: DJ pr0fane (Denmark) Label: Iboga Records Style: Techno/tech house Total playing time: 108 minutes Date: July 30th, 2008 Format: MP3 (VBR) Size: 152 MB Equipment used: Pioneer CDJ200 & Numark Axis 2 + Pioneer DJM400 Download URL: http://www.doei.org/misc/pr0fane_-_Afterthoughts.mp3 About “Afterthoughts”: As the title implies, "Afterthoughts" is a set for the afterhours. It was played at a Danish party after an intense night with progressive trance, full on and dark psy, and therefore gradually gets more and more laidback, decreasing in intensity to lead the way to the chillout DJ who played afterwards. As I initially didn't plan to put it online, it's not the most upfront set I have recorded - just 2 hours of what I consider very high quality tech house and melodic techno. Enjoy :-) Tracklist: 01. Johannes Heil & Extrawelt - Erdbeerfeld // Metatron 02. Oel & Polygon - Instinto Primario // 4Line Records 03. Christian Smith & John Selway - Total Departure (Nihad Tule Remix) // Drumcode 04. DZI (Luke Dzierzek) - Unleash // Fling 11. Sasha - Coma // emFire 12. AstroNivo - Nature Of Destiny (Presslaboys Remix) // Echoplast 13. Jerome Sydenham & Tiger Stripes - Elevation (Ink & Needle Remix) // Ibadan 14. Sennh - I Am With You // Traum 15. King Unique - Sugarhigh (Sennh's High On Sugar Mix) // Curfew About DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records): I have been a DJ since 2002, and an Iboga Records label DJ since 2007, but electronic music already caught my interest back in the 80's, and I fell in love with psychedelic trance in 1997. I am a very dedicated and passionate at what I do, and I consider DJ'ing both an art form and a serious technical craft. That is why I try to constantly test my boundaries and always try to explore new sounds, without of course losing the feel for the nostalgic and emotional - good music never gets out of style. As a representative for Iboga my musical repertoire of course includes the latest and freshest progressive psychedelic trance, but I also have a love for more house-influenced sounds: from emotional and trance-influenced melodic progressive to phat electro house or deep, hypnotic minimal, tech house or techno. At the right time and setting, I also like to play full on morning sounds, and I also very much enjoy chillout and downbeat-sets, as I see them as both very challenging and independent of the boundaries of the dancefloor. I take an honor in never limiting myself to just one particular sub-sub-sub-genre of music: to me, a good set should not only be about playing 20 similar-sounding dancefloor "killers" in a row - it should be a journey: evolving, influencing the listener and moving through different emotions and soundscapes, dependant on the setting, time and crowd. That is my main motivation to keep on playing - to create and be a part of those magic moments on the dancefloor where you just surrender to the music, and let it lead the way. Over the years I have played at some of the best clubs and venues all over Denmark, plus in countries like England, Turkey and Germany. This for instance includes these festivals: • Fusion Festival (Germany, 2008) • Full Moon Festival (Germany, 2008) • Soulclipse Total Solar Eclipse Festival (Turkey, 2006) • Liquid Time Festival (Germany, 2008) • Copenhagen Electronic Carnival (Denmark, 2008) • :in:deep:an:dance: Festival (Germany, 2006) • Naked Festival (Germany, 2006) • Middle Earth Festival (Denmark, 2005 & 2007) • Scandinavian Electronic Music Festival (Denmark, 2004) Links: Website: http://www.sunrisesupplies.com MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/pr0fane Iboga Records: http://www.iboga.dk Iboga Booking: http://www.iboga-booking.com

  6. Infected Mushroom have been shit since forever. When was BP Empire released - 1864? Seems like an eternity ago.
  7. Label: Iboga Records Cat number: IbogaCD58 Format: CD Release date: 20th of September 2008 Distribution: Psyshop .. After two years since Liquid Soul´s first album "Synthetic vibes" - Iboga Records can finally present the second and definitely long awaited album from one of Iboga Records best selling artists: The Swiss Nicola Capobinco, also known as Liquid Soul. "Love In Stereo" is the title, and it is a well-chosen name for this new, blasting album. Bound to make you smile and simply full of love. With his extremely tight and fat production he gives us an album with 9 new and exclusive tunes from his studio in Zurich. Since Liquid Souls first album, Nicolo has been close to fully booked with his live and DJ sets every weekend worldwide. Besides this, he has licensed his tunes to top labels like: Intergroove, Flow Records, Hommega and Blue Tunes among others. This shows us a bit about the high demand for his music. With the new album we are sure he will set another benchmark for the progressive trance scene, and that he will satisfy thousands of fans with his new productions. Also, already, some of the top producers are making remixes from his new album. Names like Jerome Isma-Ae, RPO, Atmos, Gaudium and Side A to name but a few. Fill your ears and heart with Liquid Souls ‘Love In Stereo’. 01. Devotion 02. Global Illumination 03. Push 04. Love In Stereo 05. Desire 06. Clean Mind 07. Sweet Things 08. Out Of The Blue 09. 8. One of the best psychedelic trance albums of the year in my opinion.
  9. Some good names in there. Henry Saiz, Extrawelt, Kasey Taylor, Behind Blue Eyes, NASA, Patrick Zigon, Pena, Kanio, Loopus In Fabula, Paul Ritch, Marc Antona, Alex Boshke, Tristan, Shadow FX and Tetrameth, Shane Gobi and Regan would probably all be on my list of acts to hear if I was going, but I wouldn't say that the lineup is worth the trip alone, and if I had a bought a ticket, I would probably be a little bit disappointed. Thumbs up for diversity though, but I think Universo Paralello does a much better job combining high quality and diversity - underground and also more mainstream sounds. That being said, I'm sure Boom will once again be an outstanding experience for everyone attending. Have a good one!
  10. I agree. People keep talking about depth and uniqueness in this album, but I can't find it anywhere. It has actually come to the point where I have pushed myself to listen to it fully three times - that's how much I want to like it. But still, totally empty feeling.
  11. Great track-titles by that Slum guy. Who can forget memorable tracks like "Get close behind men only of pretense", "Sneak, beneath my notice" and - my favourite - the aptly titled "Why you have my beer? No problem"
  12. Dood! You're playing @ Open Source! Where's that located by the way?

  13. I know there's a lot of brilliant house out there. Trance2MoveU just wrote that CPU is music suited for house crowds which I, quite frankly, find laughable I never really liked CPU by the way.
  14. Samples sound better than most on the market. Considering buying it.
  15. First Evan Marc album was really good. Thanks for the recommendation
  16. That's great advertisement - I guess we'll see them at many festival dancefloors during the summer
  17. Audio isn't too good. But second video of Total Eclipse, as well as the Prometheus video - wow!
  18. I actually consider Vibrasphere one of the best artist-names
  19. I agree that there are many filler acts - both in full on and progressive. That's the case with most festivals in my opinion though, and of course it's a matter of taste, but in this case I think many of the acts could be replaced by some good DJ's like Peter Digital, Emok, Banel, Pena, Slater, Mapusa Mapusa, Kasey Taylor and so on. Anyways - some of the progressive acts I can recommend: AKD, Andromeda, Earsugar, Gaudium, Liquid Soul, NASA, Protonica, Quantize, S>Range, Sun Control Species, Vibrasphere and Zen Mechanics Have a good trip down there if you go
  20. You thief you Nice tracklist
  21. Yes, there are some really great names on that lineup, and it's nice to see some good friends playing. That being said, I don't really get the 100% liveacts mindset at this festival, and let's not forget there were some pretty bad incidents from festivals in Greece in the past. The fact that it's a completely new festival, with such a big lineup, also set the warning bells ringing for me. At least once a year we have completely new festivals with killargh, almost too good to be true lineups popping up in Europe, which fail in the last minute - disappointing ticket-sales and no permission from the relevant authorities etc. resulting in artists not getting paid for flights, many artists not showing up, half-empty locations, non-working infrastructure and so on - even total cancellation of the festivals. I am not trying to spread bad vibes or anything, just stating my view on the scene in the past, and for the artists, organizers and the people who have bought tickets I sincerely hope Aurora won't turn out to be a disappointment.
  22. I loved the first album, so I had some expectations for the follow-up, but sadly it was somewhat of a disappointment. The first track is actually quite good, but after that it goes downhill. Most of it sounds way too much alike, and some of the tracks are destroyed by blatant overuse of female vocals. I really wanted to like it, but even though it overall sounds relatively pleasant, it didn't move me in any way as much as the first album.
