Bamboo Forest - Miam Miam Artist: Bamboo Forest Title: Miam Miam Label: Flying Rhino Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 07'51" Miam Miam 02. 08'26" Random Force Review: 2 tracks from the forthcoming Bamboo Forest album "Random Force" due to be out in June. And a must say that I like every BF track I have heard. And this is just as good. It's typical BF style with the fat sounds and 'rassling' lines and noises. Again I really like the bas and baslines I don't really know why. They are just so 'clean'. If you want not know what I'm talking about. Listen to Pleonasm. These track are kinda similar to that track. But they sounds newer ofcourse. Final Verdict: 8/10

Inpsyde Media seems to be a HELLUVA label. Keep it up.

A dark comp with alot of Deviant Species. Some tracks have a minimal touch, some doesn't even come close to minimal. Nice to hear a new track from Dark Soho. A good one indeed. If you want a little darkness in you collection you should get this. Oh yes, the Scorb track is awesome. Very psychedelic and yet so dark and groovy. That track and Shakta and the ones that stands out from the others which follows the same pattern. Except Dark Soho which is just better than the others. Final Verdict: 7/10

I remember...I think...On the CD box I read "Mastered by Lior Perlmutter" and he was an old, or is, Astral P member. right? But I don't think he is actually IN the group.

GMS - Shrek Artist: GMS Title: Shrek Label: Spirit Zone Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 06'22" Shrek 02. 05'47" Black Hole Review: This EP has the ordinary GMS sound. But compared to some tracks on their new album I like this more. Sounds more thought out. Good percussion and a rolling basslines. The bassline in Black Hole is just perfect. And the melodies creatated with the original GMS noise is good in both tracks. I think you can guess what you will get with this one. Final Verdict: 7.5/10

Logic Bomb - Unlimited Artist: Logic Bomb Title: Unlimited Label: TIP World Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 08'17" Datalinks 02. 07'44" Unlimited 03. 07'13" Neighbour Of The Beast 04. 06'04" Marauder 05. 06'31" Future Uncertain 06. 08'01" High Density 07. 07'12" Normalised 08. 06'45" Compact Living 09. 07'44" Hund 10. 07'20" Drop By Anytime Review: Our 2 year wait is over. This is THE album I have been waiting for a very long time. When I heard them live back in March the played some new stuff and it was just awesome. And so is this album. When I heard the Hund and Unlimited EP I was a little bi dissapointed. The bass was way to loud etc. Lucky for me it was just at the EP. On the album these two tracks are much better. Top notch production comes with this release. Pure fullon packed with imagination and variation. Without lacking of Logic's spirit. Melodies, percussion and sounds layered so perfectly you will be speechless. The CD contains two (Marauder and Future Uncertain) great samples from K-Pax and one from Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of The Ring. But hey? Who cares? The weakness comes in Marauder which is way to short. The best thing is that you have no idea what is coming. These guys have alot of suprises for you. Enjoy! Final Verdict: 9.5/10

The album is the best I've heard for a very long time. No bad tracks. Alot of variation. 9/10 :-)

Wait till you hear Smahutta. Their worst track ever :-/ It's so awful. ARGH!!!!!!!!
-
I was hoping for some evolving from GMS. But no. This is almost the same. The production seems to be better tho. More clear and clean sounds. This album strictly follows the rules of GMS. And you all know what that means. But if you like GMS you will ofcourse enjoy it. I think GMS is kinda good and freaky but it's gets boring too fast. A whole album with them is just too much. It's time to change boys. Final Verdict: 6/10

V/A - Psychedelic Sparks Artist: Various Title: Psychedelic Sparks Label: Inpsyde Media Date: 2002 Track listing: 01. 05'52" Etack : For Red 02. 07'29" The Bastard : Crispy Crunchy Buffet Beast 03. 08'26" Promon : Throbbing Hobbits 04. 08'22" Psychopat : Spiral Landing 05. 07'28" De-Fect : Bouncing Shrooms And Giggleing Gnomes 06. 07'10" Amygdala : Synaptic Misfire 07. 08'14" Synsun : Replycant 08. 08'17" Agalactia : Awkward Lightrate 09. 07'10" Torakka : Greasy Fingers 10. 04'42" Solstice : Ricochet Review: Finally! It's here! Let's get right on it. The CD starts out with a full on hard track. Seems like a peacefull track in the beginning but it's not. Strong kick and wobbling distorted sounds. This is a really "squeaky" track. Near the middle there is a sample saying something about killing someone. Scary huh? and after that there is some breakbeats which is really good. You can catch you breath again just to loose it when the madness starts again. Good track with good percussion, but it could have been more of that. The weakness is the kick. It's too hard and "snappy". The bassline is good tho. Deep and and crunchy. Next track is a more progressive one. Evolving with new sounds all the time. Actually...That covers the whole track. it's a good track no doubt of that. The track have very good moments. Near the middle there is a short pause and a awesome sound. After that more percussions starts and that is good. Too bad he stops using them so fast. But still, good job. Next up is Promon. And i must say that i think this track is the weakest on the comp. You can barely hear the kick. And it seems that there is just random sounds thrown in here and there. That can be good in a track but not in this one. In the middle when the track reaches it top point. There is just no logic at all, it is just noises who create nothing. Irritating...Let's move on. After 3 kinda dark tracks it's time for a little more psychedelia. The track starts with a sample and is building up from that. And after 2mins it has lift off. It has that typical full on feeling but was missing is a insane melodie. There is always sounds 'n noises bouncing around and in the middle you actually get your melodie. And it's a hard one. A grinding sound that never seems to stop The kick and bassline is good and fresh. The insanity in the middle almost have that "random-feeling". the De-Fect track has a nice groove. Everything appears to be much more under control here. A swedish sample can be heard in the background a few times in the beginning, but it's really hard to hear so I even don't bother to translate it. There is a more clear sample, can be same sample, saying something like: "ooh, the mushroom doesn't explode". This track have also squeaky wobbling sounds as a "main sound" if you know what i mean. The track keeps going with these sounds which forms somekind of melodie all the time. And near the end there is another sample in swedish saying "jättesvampar överallt" which means "giantmushrooms everywhere". Fun to have swedish samples for a change Good and noisy track. Let's go for the Amygdala track. And I have heard alot about this guy :-) And boy! he IS good! The track has a awesome groove and rythm. In the beginning you think 'what a weak bass' but that is not the real bass The track really catches you when the real stuff comes along. I'm digging along all the time. Nice! And the middle is just perfect. And so are the end. It just keeps on coming. The production is more clear than in the other tracks. Next track with Synsun is...how shall i put this? Is RAW. Full on 100% pure madness. The track really grinding you brain to pieces. Reminds me of Hux-Flux. Many noises, under full control. This is good. Even tho some sounds is alittle too much. But i never gets irritating. to make it simple; a helluva crazy track. next up is Agalactia. And man! Best track on the CD. Wooohaaaa! it's easy to hear that he is from Israel without knowing it :-) It starts out with some atmospheric sounds. a kick starts. together with some strange bassline. then it kinda stops. Just to start again and smack you in the face with a VERY GOOD melodie. It's so damn good! Not cheezy in any way. And the break in the middle! geeeez! "one two three four" lalalaalaaaallaaa and after that. Another melodie that is so *f-word* good starts and just makes you move. This is a killer track. The next two tracks are chilloutish. They are great. The track buy Torokka is faster and more rythmic while the Solstice track is more ambient with female vocals. Thats it. It ends here. This is a good CD and everyone should have it. tsss best track is: Amygdala, Synsun and Agalactica(!) The cover on the CD is great. And i must say that everyone involved in this project has made a wonderful job. Thank you! Final Verdict: 7.2/10
