  1. Ah...the album whose name shall never be spoken. Rereading the review it's plain to see this went over like a turd in the punch bowl. But looking at the track list it's hard to have expected anything else. Classic tracks turned into full-on remixes, some really terribly so. *smacks Dynamic in the back of the head* "You just summed up your entire disappointing career in one track!" Once you get over the fact that these aren't the classic goa tracks you're looking for, from a full-on perspective some aren't bad. Now that's assuming you don't have white hot hatred for all things full-on. If you do, you've probably already dropped a stinky loaf on this. And since this record (maybe even before) AP has become a running joke of a project. Allowing full-on artists to remix their babies only tarnished their legacy and further cemented their hunt for the almighty dollar or shekel or other soul sacrificing item of monetary value. Ladies and gentlemen...may I introduce to you...a footnote in history. Mdk
  2. If you don't have your CD(I don't) so what? It will eventually arrive. if it doesn't Anjuna is a reputable company and I'm sure they will help you through it. in the meantime how about this: read a book, go outside, or walk the dog. Mdk
  3. Artist: Various Title: Astronot Label: Goalogique Records Date: September, 2013 1. Minomar - Dancing Universe 2. Trinodia - Top Secret (Mix 2013) 3. Carbon - Dandelion Fx 4. Somnesia - In Search of Our Origin (Live Mix) 5. Jennis - Hollow Grams 6. Visual Brain - I Have a Riddle To Solve 7. Laboratory X - Light and Dark 8. OGO - Goastronaut I've got some good news and some bad news. The good news is the artwork for the 2nd compilation from Goalogique is a little better than the horrendous effort of their debut Up To Next Step. Bad news? Pictures don't talk. And I don't mean in a "that painting really speaks to me" kinda way. Yes pictures speak volumes in their own language, but they sound pretty damn quiet in my headphones. This compilation is either a step backwards or a kid learning to drive by grinding the gears of Dad's Subaru. Whatever you call it, it ain't going forward. Hold this up to other goa trance compilations and that game will be over very quickly. There were good moments in some tracks, but they either didn't last very long or were replaced by some weaker content. Power and lush atmosphere are absent from the tracks as they sound rather amateurish. Even Trinodia and Somnesia (who was on the first compilation) can't save this although they had the best tracks. There is no depth, no stories being told, and ultimately no reason for me to care about most of these tracks. When money is tight you've gotta pick your purchases carefully. And this CD doesn't make me want to spend $12.50 at Psyshop before shipping. Sorry, but strike two Goalogique. Beatspace Psyshop Mdk
  4. Artist: Nebula Meltdown Title: Stardust Chronicles Label: Suntrip Date: October, 2013 1. One Eyed Reptile 2. A Higher Pathway 3. Psychic Beacon 4. Agape Sophia 5. Superluminal Connection 6. Stardust Chronicles 7. Mindstream Continuum 8. Alnitak Sunrise 9. Breakfast on the Balcony This was a bit of a curve ball. Mainly due to me not understanding the hints that were revealed in the promo. First let me say that it's a good album that showcases Kristian Aro's talent at weaving layers of melody in a seamless fashion. It's mostly gentle deep trance with subtle (as Anoebis said) acidic goa flares. The melodies unfurl slowly in front of you allowing the listener to observe the chromatic ballet of cosmic nebulae. It's beautiful atmospheric stuff that is well constructed. The problem I have with it is the track placement. How are you going to raise the bar with a sizzling goa track like One Eyed Reptile only to immediately lay the bar on the floor? And leave it there for a few tracks? This went from high energy to very little energy. From firing up the rocket boosters to flipping on autopilot so I could catch a nap. I believe this is my own fault for thinking it would be an album full of tracks like the one on Shaltu. So even though I don't care for where the tracks are placed, I can recognize them as quality work. It's cosmic trance with spiraling melodies that really put you into space, with detail and phenomenal sound quality. A solid album like Jon said, and at the very least helps put to bed the theory that Suntrip is just an output machine for E-Mantra and Filteria styles. Suntrip Beatspace Psyshop Mdk
  5. Artist: PharaOm Title: Under The Sun of Goa Label: Neogoa Date: December, 2013 1 - Under The Sun Of Goa (149 BPM) 2 - Full Obsidian Eyes (145 BPM) 3 - Ispahan Garden (143 BPM) 4 - Shine Like Gold (146 BPM) 5 - Drums Of Babylon (feat. Nadasorion) (143 BPM) 6 - Sattva, Rajas, Tamans (148 BPM) 7 - Sopdet To Giza Travelers (77 BPM) 8 - Shiva's Cosmic Dance (149 BPM) 9 - Goa's Sun Will Shine Forever (148 BPM) Yeah, Canada in July is not what I thought it would be. Winter got you down? Well come in from the cold and saddle up your camel! If you like your goa trance with an ethnic slant Oswald has a shiny treat just for you. This is one long Temple of Doom menagerie. I'm talking voodoo priests that pull your heart out of your chest, ritual sacrifice, and chilled monkey brains for dinner. Sweltering heat with multi-appendaged deities that offer a gentle touch one minute and manufacture fire and brimstone the next. Real Old Testament type stuff. Melodies swarm and shimmer amidst the searing sun as chants float mysteriously on warm desert breezes. I'm searching for that damn Ark and no Asian stereotype will stop me. Nope, that honor goes to Google Maps! Man I hope they fix that software. That's it? That's your solution to the botched rollout? I'm not following that guy! There will be more twirling than a 5 year old's Christmas hula hoop. Except the closer. Hmmm...that sounds a little more Bollywood porn and less forgotten City of Mystery. Yeah I have a few Indian friends and they don't eat that. They like cheeseburgers. One did say she rode an ostrich once, so I guess we'll call it even. Beautiful work Oswald. Now will you hurry up and make some physical releases so I can throw some f*cking money at you? Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
  6. Artist: Fractal Vivisection Title: Through The Vortex Label: Timewarp Records Date: November, 2013 1. Interplanetary Voyage 2. Traveling Apart 3. Interstellar Gliding 4. My Name Is Trance 5. Molecular Instability 6. Distant Echoes 7. Tachyon 8. Subconscious Flashback 9. Traveling Apart Pt. 2 One, that cover is hideous. Two, I have been listening to this for a while and it made me think of cats. "Jack! Jack! Get the f*ck in here! Check it out...That fat f*cking dog just put a slice of pizza on my head. I know, I know...*makes explosion motion with paws* mindblowing. Quick get a shot of it so I can put it on my Facebook!" What the f*ck is wrong with people? Excuse me, what the f*ck is wrong with cat people? There is a cat with a slice on its head. In space. Why does this even exist? To what purpose? If you've visited the internet since ever people have this (in my view) unhealthy and psycho infatuation with cats. A quick google search will take you to countless images of cats where there should be no cats. I think it's a game of one upmanship to post pictures of cats in the most random and non-sensical situations. This is one of the latest releases from Timewarp and it's a bit of a surprise. It's a mixture of deep space trance and goa elements. There is a very futuristic and cosmic feel to it (just peruse the track names) with lots of layers. When I first heard it I couldn't stand it. Turned it off and went on to review sh*tty ful-on compilations that nobody asked for. But somehow I came back to it. It's not the best thing I've heard and certainly not on going to challenge E-Mantra. But it's not meant to be. I like it when artists combine genres (mostly) and while some of it sounds simple and cheesy a lot of it is very engaging. Every time this Russian gets to the goa parts I start liking it and get sucked back into the dreamy atmosphere. It's not for everyone and like I said it had to grow on me. But I would easily say it is worth a listen. We can't all be as enlightened as this guy. "No way man, no way! I think you just won the internet!" Beatport Mdk
  7. Artist: Various Title: Future Sunrise Label: Hypnotic Date: 1997 1. Ultravision - Outpost 2. Vectrolab - Tribal Energy 3. Unicon - Fantasia (Edit) 4. Ultravision - The Tunnel (Exclusive CD Edit) 5. Silicon Voice - Future Sunrise 6. Vectrolab - Triathlon 7. Unicon - Labor of Love 8. Ultravision - African Dream (Exclusive CD Mix) 9. Ioncraft - Last Chance "Come baby, you're my labor of love." You see it's sh*t like that that makes me want to light you on fire. Damn you Hypnotic and your re-releaseds! I have a love hate relationship with this label. On the one hand if you wanted electronic music in the colonies this was the go to label. They had so much, damn we almost felt European. They were also the label that first exposed me to goa trance, so for that I am eternally grateful. Psygone? Colorbox? Bypass Unit? Solar Plexus? But they also had this habit of re-releasing albums under different names in what could only be labeled as a cash grab. After they cleaned up all the vomit they repackaged it and presented it 3 years later as Disc 2 of the Trance Goa Experience. You sons o' b*tches! Take the good with the bad I guess. But this is just...bad. There are a couple of good tracks that flex some goa muscles, but most of this claptrap is boring trance and hard trance. And don't get me started on whatever that weak ambient closing track was. Hopes were high with Outpost, it was aggressive and just kept coming. The Tunnel wasn't bad and Triathlon was a pretty good mover also. After that though...whew. 3.25 rating on Discogs? That is one pretty liberal f*cking curve. Mdk

    V/A - Transient 4

Artist: Various Title: Transient 4 Label: Transient Records Date: September, 1996 1. Slide - Waking Up To Chaos 2. Disco Volante - Chameleon (UX Ultimate Xperience Remix) 3. Planet B.E.N. - Question Mark 4. Blue Planet Corporation - Antidote (Pleiadians Remix) 5. UX - Pure Intellect 6. Spiritual - Ride The Snake 7. Electric Universe - Online Information 8. Cosmosis - Psychofunk 9. MFG - Mystic Dawn "I promise you, I will be with you till the end of time. Nothing will destroy our circle. Ride the snake." I could tell you that this compilation is the best old school goa trance compilation I've ever heard. I could tell you that the melodies come in bunches and that they gather you up in a vortex that spins and twirls with relentless abandon. I could also tell you that the atmosphere is thick and this is a gate to the past that I would jump through with both feet. I could also say that in my opinion this compilation is as close to perfect as you could get if classic goa trance is what you crave. But those are just words. And words don't seem to do this compilation justice. It's like...if a penguin was cloud surfing on a giant cat that could morph into living energy. Yeah... Totally. Mdk
  9. Unless I receive a request to review something I like to hop around. Good or bad it doesn't matter. Some of my best reviews have come from the worst albums. I look forward to listening to this, but I fear there is no way for it to live up to the considerable hype. I'll take my time with it to be sure. Mdk
  10. Artist: Various Title: Phosphorescent Label: TIP Records Date: October, 1996 1. Hallucinogen - Gamma Goblins 2. Psychopod - Psychopod 3. ManMadeMan & Tristan - Purple Merlin 4. Hallucinogen - Soothsayer (The Lysurgeon Warning Remix) 5. X-Dream - Panic In Paradise 6. The Infinity Project - Phosphoressence 7. Doof - People In UFO's 8. Orichalum - Alien Homes 9. The Antidote - Sunrise How the hell was XXL reviewed, but not this? "Ummm, Mike...that was you. You did that." Yeah, well...look, a T-Rex! *runs away* Seriously though the fact that one of the most psychedelic goa trance releases of all time never got recognition here is mind boggling. It's the perfect storm of awesome. Well known artists putting their best foot forward creating some of the most hypnotic goa trance of an era. Normally when you see a face this close there are numbers underneath it and the reason people never smile in those photos is because the body cavity search they were just subjected to was a little more vigorous than they were probably used to. It's not a first date, Shaquita skips the movie and dinner and heads right for where the magic happens. Waitaminute... Holy sh*t TIP Records predicted the future. They were trying to warn us. Well, Indian diplomats anyway. So she got arrested, strip searched, and a body cavity search all because she brought the caste system to America and didn't drop enough rupees on an untouchable? Look, you can do a lot of things in NYC. You want a slice of pizza at 3:47 in the morning, we'll ask you what toppings you want. Want to see a show with two Saudi grandmothers dressed as anime school girls having sex with a donkey? We call that Tuesday uptown. But one thing we won't tolerate is under paying hard working employees that keep this city running. Oh, that. Hey mistakes were made, let's not point any fingers. Especially that one you just...ah...you know. Look, a T-Rex! Ahem. If I may address the Indian government. Please accept our apologies for my country's rough treatment of the good doctor. Perhaps it was a little overkill and the parties involved could've been a tad overzealous. That said, maybe just maybe, we'll stop fingerf*cking your diplomats when you begin to crack down on your rather sizeable gang rape problem. But I digress. This album is a juggernaut. An absolute beast showcasing the best of goa and psychedelia and trance. There aren't many albums that are perfect, but this one is a It's a worthy addition to any goa enthusiasts collection. It's just track after track of mind numbing dream trips. Now if you'll excuse me, I heard there were a few T-Rexes around here. Mdk
  11. Artist: Various Title: Orange Compilation Label: TIP Records Date: July, 1995 1. Doof - Mars Needs Women 2. GNOTR - Conflict 3. Astral Projection - Let There Be Light 4. Total Eclipse - A Little Bit of Heaven 5. Psychaos - Intellect 6. Hallucinogen - Angelic Particles 7. The Infinity Project - Alien Airport 8. Einstein - Einstein's Nightlife 9. Voodoo People - People Are Strange 10. Voodoof - Thru "Do we really want to know about the future?" From the label that is now the face of Indian diplomat body cavity searches (at least to me) comes one of the best psychedelic goa trance albums made. All the titans of the genre make an appearance with tracks that have become classics of the golden era of goa trance. Wanna taste of that era? Then this is for you! Even the names that might not be familiar do not disappoint. Well maybe Einstein, but f*ck him what did he ever do? What, no gold chain? No hat cocked obnoxiously to the side? You ain't gangsta. From the corny but cool Mars Needs Women to the sinister track with a chip on its shoulder Thru this is a great window into what made goa fantastic at the time. The Nuns come out with the blistering Conflict and probably one of my favorite tracks by some outfit known as Astral Projection. But the track that screams psychedelic goa madness is the Hallucinogen opus Angelic Particles. Mind melting wizardry is what that is. The only way this could've been better is if it came with a hand job. Mdk
  12. I actually have a few of those on deck and ready to go. Just trying to find the hours in the day! But back on topic, apparently this is the greatest work Jannis has ever done. I can't wait. Mdk
  13. Artist: Various Title: Psychedelic Vibes Vol. 2 Label: Phonokol Date: April, 1997 01. 09'09" The Muses Rapt : Spiritual Healing 02. 06'59" Electric Universe : Sunset Skyline 03. 09'01" Ubar Tmar : Flying Saucers Landing 04. 08'03" Transwave : Land Of Freedom (Rmx) 05. 07'40" Juno Reactor : Feel the Universe (Koxbox Rmx) 06. 08'59" Organic Noise : Labyrinth of Colour 07. 07'48" Sibilant : The Fly 08. 08'00" Z To A : Destination Devastation 09. 09'36" Elysium : Yamaya If you walk up to me with a piece of sh*t on your face I'm going to avoid you and tell you, "Hey man you got some sh*t on your face! Get the f*ck away from me." Oh God it's gonna be one of those isn't it? Let me explain. If the first thing I notice about you is that you're going full on Mr. Hanky on your face like it's Mike Tyson's eye tattoo chances are good I'm not going to give you the time of day. When you talk to me you might get some of it one me. I don't need that. It's gross and I'm fairly certain a health hazard. This is just how I feel. Maybe you're different. But that's sort of how I feel when I see Spiritual Healing being the first track on a compilation. There is not a track in the history of goa that I hate more than that one. "Oh here comes Phonokol with the 2nd Psychedelic Vibes. Watch out, it's got sh*t on his face!" You gotta bury that near the end of the compilation. Put that with the preachy b*tch on the Z to A track. God that one was annoying. You might ask how you could put up with someone like that. bingo. Ok so now that those two tracks are out of the way what've we got? I see Land of Freedom is remixed, but it sounds like it got the full-on treatment the way those Astral tracks did on the album of whose name we do not speak. There are a couple of tracks that aren't great, but aren't bad either (The Fly, Labyrinth of Color). Ubar Tmar does his usual weird sh*t and if you're a fan of that blah blah blah. The best ones for me were Yemaya (Elysium Project Vs. Worm) and the Koxbox remix of Feel The Universe by Juno Reactor. The former was thumping good tribal goa and the latter was very psychedelic. Sunset Skyline upped the ante as it went along so props to Boris for that. Bet that guy wishes he had a time machine. So two really good tracks out of 9? Yeah I don't know if I'm gonna trust this trance. Mdk
  14. You know, I have the disc in my hand I just haven't even opened it. Guess I should get crackin. Mdk
  15. Artist: Various Title: The Hypnotic Goa Zone Label: Hypnotic Date: January, 1999 1. Ziax - Calamity 2. Ex- Sample - Trip 2 Goa 3. Whonic - Insight 4. Futurax - Collision 5. DJ Roy - Time To Ride 6. D-Ex It - Lightning 7. Criozonic - Conviction 8. Steam - Lonliness 9. Mach - Crystal 10. Amenia - X-Cella-8 This is an underrated release in my opinion. It's not mixed so you get full tracks and I'm willing to bet that you've never heard of these people. I say people, but it's very few people as the same guy makes at least half of the tracks. And they're brand new goa trance tracks. Know how I know? It says it right on the front of the CD case. You know how sometimes when you look at a release on Discogs and it has a ridiculously high rating? Yeah, that might be this one. Not classics by any stretch as some of the melodies are pretty thin, but for the most part it's solid. One thing you can tell after giving this a listen, the same sounds are used over and over again. Because of that it has that generic goa sound, but one that I can enjoy on occasion. I will say that he knows his way around a 303. Mdk
  16. Rotwang I am a big fan of the way your mind functions. I knew the comparison I made was faux as it is apples and oranges. You make a good point that, like a lot of music, you have to be in the right mood. But when that mood hits, music can open the imagination like nothing else. I mean how many times have we all been sitting alone in the dark and when that Alien Project comes on... Who's with me? Anyone? I'll see myself out. Mdk
  17. Artist: Autechre TItle: Amber Label: Warp Records Date: November, 1994 1. Foil 2. Montreal 3. Silverside 4. Slip 5. Glitch 6. Piezo 7. Nine 8. Further 9. Yulquen 10. Nil 11. Teartear I don't get it. This project and this album in particular has a huge following so I figured I'd put it to the test. I don't want to piss on anyone's parade, but it's hard to see why people fawn all over this. I would put anything that Solar Fields, Aes Dana, Asura, Astropilot, or Koan has done over this. I realize it's almost twenty years old, but a classic should be a classic. The sound is techno combined with ambient textures. It's repetitive and doesn't evolve all that much. Perhaps it's a situation where those that grew up with this marked special times in their lives. Perhaps it was a soundtrack for those special and important moments. Because technically I'm not impressed. I'm ok with not liking it. That's why there is so much music out there. Something for everyone. But for those that love it, I wouldn't mind hearing why. Mdk
  18. Artist: Audio-X Title: No One Can Stop Us Now Label: Wired Music Date: October, 2007 1. Jackpot 2. My Rave (Audio-X rmx) - Eskimo 3. The Things People Say 4. N.O.C.S.U.N. - Audio-X & Hyperceptiohm 5. In My Head 6. So High - Audio-X & Cosmonet 7. The Way (Audio X rmx) - Wrecked Machines 8. Future Shock (Part 1) - Audio-X & Lifestyle 9. Open Your Eyes 10. Everytning's Gone - Audio-X & DJ Noronha "I am the ringmaster...Do you wish to challenge me?" Your fly is open. "Bass in yo face London!" Don't you dare drag Public Enemy in this clusterf*ck. I'm pretty sure they would punch all you right in the face. "Why must I deal with this sh*t every f*cking day?" So...you're writing the review for me then? "No One Can Stop Us Now" Ohhh...see what they did there? So clever. Got a better one... No One Can Stomach Ur Nonsense. "Because I got a song in my head" The pain continues. "So high" Is what I would have to be to buy this. Oy vey. This is the poster child for sh*tty full-on. Burn that non-sensical cover into your brain and scald like an Arby's lunch binge. There is not one redeemable quality here. The reason I review a lot of music (a lot of it bad) is so that people out in the real world can be responsible with their hard earned or stolen cash. If you reinforce bad behavior the child will keep repeating the action. That's why when they do something so mind numbingly stupid you whack 'em so hard they never make that decision again. Back to the favela gentlemen. Psyshop Beatspace The balls on this company to charge me $15.23 for this. Mdk
  19. Artist: Shiva Title: Oracle Label: Shiva Space Japan Date: 2005 1. Shiva & Guy - Go To School 2. Electric Shiva Universe - You Got To Go To Goa 3. Broken Shiva Toy - Skrach Funk 4. Shiva - Damaged 5. Shiva - Slick Sh*t Killer 6. Shiva - The Distroyer 7. Shiva Azax Syndrom - The Pleshures of Flesh 8. Shiva - Red Dwarf 9. Shiva - The Pagan Move Holy f*ck. Look at that cover. We have a saying in the states..."Let's just throw some sh*t on the wall and see what sticks." That's not supposed to be a literal translation. But we have something more important here. Evidence. Pure and simple evidence. It's staring you right in the face. What you are looking at is actual written proof and documented time when the careers of Azax Syndrom and Electric Universe plunged into the toilet. Quite remarkable actually that both seemed to occur at exactly the same time. So what's the common denominator? Dj Jorg. Look we can ridicule the absolutely horrid album cover all day and I believe it made it into the worst covers thread. But ultimately the music is what decides whether an album has merit and...whoo. This is some of the worst full-on sh*t I've ever heard. This is cheese Everest. Listening to this I actually experienced pain. Real physical pain. Guitars and buildups are just two of the cliche's that made the mid 2000's a wasteland of psytrance. The leads are not appealing in the slightest and it's rife with the slow down technique. Evolution? You gotta be f*cking kidding me. In an attempt to rewrite history (and/or perhaps rid the Earth of this scourge) it is no longer available at Beatspace or Psyshop. Mdk
  20. Artist: Mindwave Title: Concept of Freedom Label: Iono Music Date: April, 2012 1. Intro 2. Light of loss 3. Simple Moves 4. Guiding Voice 5. Within You 6. Levity 7. New Day 8. Underwater 9. Concept of freedom 10. Deepest Thoughts "Freedom is not something that we easily understand." Sometimes you're just in the mood for a little progressive. No, that's Progresso soup. Most tender chicken ever? It is getting colder here and that sounds delicious. When I need my progressive trance fix I turn to the leader of the pack Iono Music who very rarely let me down. This is Anton Maiko, yet another Russian residing in Israel. It's like Russia south down there. The Israeli vodka machine must be working overtime. With his third album he delivers the kind of tunes that are right in my strike zone. Flowing melodic stuff that makes you wiggle in the middle. Simple Moves dwells in the clouds, but still retains its big bottom end. New Day brings a feeling of hope with great effects. Female vocals in several tracks give the music a dreamlike spiritual gravitas. But all the tracks have that lush appeal that mark an Iono release. Washes, punchy bass lines, reverb, and delay set to 11. Yep the gang's all here. If you want to drift away this is your ticket. Hell yeah this is recommended. It's one of the best progressive releases I've heard in a while. Beatspace Psyshop Mdk
  21. Artist: Mister Chill'R Title: Alien Unfolding Label: Metakinetics Date: July, 2010 01 - Alien Unfolding (72 BPM) 02 - Dimentia (75 BPM) 03 - Ambient Space (80 BPM) 04 - Synthetic Atmosphere (65 BPM) 05 - Minor Adjustments (90 BPM) 06 - Area 51 (80 BPM) 07 - Well Chilled (75 BPM) 08 - Emotion (80 BPM) 09 - Explain The Unexplained (80 BPM) 10 - Open Source (85 BPM) 11 - Sun And Rain (82 BPM) Mister Chill'R is from the Pacific Northwest of the USA so good to see some electronic musicians from my part of the world. His debut is a rather lo fi approach with low bpms and dubby beats. There is an outer space feel where you can feel the bass sitting prominently in the mix. The tracks are short and mildly eerie in an X-files sort of way. Sometimes robotic, sometimes hopeful. I found myself looking forward to the next track to see how he would keep this minimal style interesting. And he did. Mostly. Well, some. To tell the truth the novelty wore off around track five. Not something I would routinely reach for, but a nice break when you're feeling mellow and want something a little different. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
  22. Artist: Sunstryk Title: Ascending Soul EP Label: Plusquam Date: April, 2012 1. Ascending Soul 2. Ascending Soul (Ovnimoon Remix) "I'm not afraid of dying..." Yeah that's how I feel. Take an average track, give it to Hector and he Ovnimoons it. The original was bare and laid back, but the remix was more aggressive. That's what he does. Even that didn't make me jump out of my seat though. Not bad, just...meh. Beatport
  23. Artist: Cosmic Replicant Title: Supersensitive EP Label: PurEuphoria Records Date: April, 2012 01 - Chromosphere (100 BPM) 02 - Inner Fly (100 BPM) 03 - Supersensitive (85 BPM) 04 - Space Creator (90 BPM) Who's ready for some cold, Russian downtempo? It's the dead of winter in Red Square with snowflakes tumbling from dark clouds heavy with moisture. Never seen a Russian winter? Me neither. But this will get you there faster than if you called Putin a homo. Hold your hands close to the paltry fire to gain some warmth as night closes in during Inner Fly. As the arpeggio cycles listen to the alien skitterings underneath in Supersensitive. Good layers and a nice dark atmosphere make this a treat. A little more track development would be nice, but this is still worth your time. Pavel closes with a dreamy and floating track that just melts away minutes. Pretty good. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
