I am now in the US (Boston) after having lived in israel for a long time... and yeah psytrance is ultraunderground here. Not only that but everyone here thinks "techno" is all the same (and by techno they mean electronica). Doesn't really bother me, i just tell them all their shit is the same in return. All the hiphop about bitches and money and shit, all the rock is the same, etc.... Just make crazy sounding comparisons (which are obviously NOT true) and then they start understanding a little. The people around me have a lot of respect for what i listen to, even though they coudln't stand it for more than 3 minutes haha. Respect brings respect, Dav

I was just surfing when i remembered this awesome party i went to. It was shiva chandra, azax syndrome and texas faggot, all live, and several other DJs. Moksha's Purim desert rave back in 2005. Maybe some of the Israelis will remember... Also texas faggot for sure had a track (or at least a sample) with the wedding song melody. Anyway, here is the link. What is the first track playing? I very much enjoy this, but as specified previously, you gotta like this particular subgenre.

Hey everyone! My first thoughts are on the review system. I feel very restricted in the sense that there are certain albums that probably don't deserve a full in detail review (a style with which i have trouble conforming due to my poor writing skills) but I would love to hear other people's opinions about them. My idea, for instance, would be to have a sub-review folder, with posts like in the regular one we have now, where people would just write short blurbs about each CD. I believe that could avoid the clutter on the review pages (removing all the "yeah great" and "no it sucks") which would then go to those "note" pages, leaving only "proper" reviews. I realize it's a bit complicated but i'd love to elaborate. Also id like to encourage people to post on old topics of CDs they just listen to and just drop down notes about how they feel now! I've been trying to say a few words about each oldie i listen to. Finally I wanna say that due to the lack of other psyheads around me, I would be very happy if we had some kind of chat system, not aimed at offtopic, but at talking about psytrance (duh). I've honestly tried not reading reviews BEFORE listening to CDs because i seriously considered myself to be biased once i had read someone else's opinion. However, Tatsu, your 2002 words are the same as mine in 2008. First track got me dancing... and progressively i sat back down waiting for the CD to repeat and hear that wonderful track again! Will try it again later, and even though i don't think any of the tracks are actually BAD, they're just nothing special (apart from the first of course, that one kicks ass).
