Masa and DJ Yuta played at the Oregon Eclipse festival and it was fucking magic. Sunday morning with Darshan at 4am, then Masa at sunrise followed by DJ Yuta and then Bumbling Loons... Sunday was absolutely fucking magical =) Ree.k was supposed to play but something happened and she canceled or something. Was a bummer

Give a listen to the Psy-Harmonics compilation "Iconic" Also, Shaolin Wooden Men "Supermindway" and Rip Van Hippy "The Whole World's Hip and that's Not Cool" And, again, I appreciate that some people might not understand why the delta can fit at 7am, but that's why most DJs have shit taste, why many events are generic carbon copies, and the music has consistently been less inspired as the years move on. Open up and push some boundaries...

the delta isn't a trolling comment or suggestion. again, it's all about how the music played and the sequencing of it. Shit like Tribaliser or deltaskelter? absolutely. Same with the old Organic Noise material. dark and brooding can work in context if played right.

I really love playing morning sets; they're kind of my preferred time. I think there is a lot of morning music out there, outside of full-on. Think of those great Goa sounds of matsuri records (everything from bass chakra to process to prana to tim schuldt), masa, ticon or xv kilist, some full-on with space cat or man with no name, some super groovy flying rhino bass (blue planet, slinky wizard, process), vertigo records new stuff like delirious noon and sattel battle, some great finnish music like texas faggott and houpatasso mononen or tekniset and shiwa 2000; vishnudata, loopus in fabula, and also the more stripped down planet ben or m.o.s. or x-dream and delta or fuzzion... morning music isn't necessarily a genre, it's the way a person assembles a variety of different music and turns it into a morning set. it's kind of like how a note can either be a Bsharp or a C, depending on how it is being played, even though tonally, they are the same. morning music is like that. It's about intention...

I had tried to record it live but I fucked up the record settings and it was essentially unlistenable. I’ve thought about that set a lot throughout the summer while in airports or backseats of cars, so after unpacking from the Eclipse journey, I revisited some tracks and had a moment of pause. 2017 has been a bloody intense year for so many people. There is a lot of tense energy out there, but within that is the most pure strength and compassion that I’ve ever felt around me. Good people are doing good things and while the short term can feel extremely disheartening; the long term is going to be okay. We need to push out those on-edge feelings though. anyone else's disk seem like it's pressed wrong? my disk one keeps skipping, ever since first listen, throughout We Created Our Own Happiness (Dickster Remix). It's kind of annoying. I hate cds. anyone rip this to FLAC yet and want to send me a link to files? my disk drive on the laptop doesn't read the disk and it's not available on torrent sites yet... :/

Yeah, I have both of those too. There is one track on there I don't have on vinyl and that's okay with me. Now if he were to print Younger Brother Last Days of Gravity and Vaccine Electronic on vinyl, I'd grab both of those =)

I'm definitely pro SynSUN. They might not be the best producers ever or write the most exciting and original tunes, but they are solid and they do great remixes. The Omen remix of The Prodigy is fucking sick. They have a great Juno Reactor remix of Komet and they even made a Dickster track entertaining. We Are The World is a fun and enjoyable remix/cover/mash-up of a bunch of Goa classics, and they seem to post a regular stream of bootleg remixes of other tracks, which are generally fun (or at least, not terrible). SynSUN is definitely a worthy project to be in the scene.

I hope you're kidding. Google is NOTORIOUS for dropping products in their stream without warning. Products used by people and businesses. Google has zero attachment to any of their different splinters. I would venture to state that Bandcamp will out last Google Play

This was discussed in another thread a year or two ago. When you buy on Bandcamp, you are paying for the digital download of the release. The online streaming is a free bonus and is not a lifetime guarantee. Some artists and labels leave things up indefinitely, so it can be easy to conflate the two concepts, but always assume that whatever you buy won't be available on the site later. If Bandcamp goes belly up, you should still have the local copy of your purchases. That's on you.
