Pay attention for the moments of unsanity and learn to spot when you should be slinking up the world with some slower wizard-esque jams and when you need to get that Doof level acid on. Look for all of the different gods and aliens, because—somehow—they are all true, even when contradicting each other. It all exists, because none of it exists. But the belief, of the stupidly crazy and not real, creates realness. As that’s how magic and faith work. Goa has led me to different ways of thinking, as well as experiencing the world and those interpretations of those interactions within, in a wildly different way and realm than those of not. But life is chaos. A beautiful and perfectly aligned chaos. Which, when combined with Happiness through Nihilism… since we are all doomed and meaningless, if nothing ultimately matters, maybe it’s best to not worry about that which has even less meaning that I. I’m a genuine true believer of the Goa and because I believe… the Goa looks after me… Unless that all sounds weird and unhinged… In which case this was all just another story… friedkale.com Anyway, this mix is essentially the sunrise Summer Solstice set I played at the beginning of summer at a fun event called Psychedelic Buttstuff. I had tried to record it live but I fucked up the record settings and it was essentially unlistenable. I’ve thought about that set a lot throughout the summer while in airports or backseats of cars, so after unpacking from the Eclipse journey, I revisited some tracks and had a moment of pause. 2017 has been a bloody intense year for so many people. There is a lot of tense energy out there, but within that is the most pure strength and compassion that I’ve ever felt around me. Good people are doing good things and while the short term can feel extremely disheartening; the long term is going to be okay. We need to push out those on-edge feelings though. This set might help you out with that. Take a breath and go with Goa… back to home. anyone else's disk seem like it's pressed wrong? my disk one keeps skipping, ever since first listen, throughout We Created Our Own Happiness (Dickster Remix). It's kind of annoying. I hate cds. anyone rip this to FLAC yet and want to send me a link to files? my disk drive on the laptop doesn't read the disk and it's not available on torrent sites yet... :/

Yeah, I have both of those too. There is one track on there I don't have on vinyl and that's okay with me. Now if he were to print Younger Brother Last Days of Gravity and Vaccine Electronic on vinyl, I'd grab both of those =)

I'm definitely pro SynSUN. They might not be the best producers ever or write the most exciting and original tunes, but they are solid and they do great remixes. The Omen remix of The Prodigy is fucking sick. They have a great Juno Reactor remix of Komet and they even made a Dickster track entertaining. We Are The World is a fun and enjoyable remix/cover/mash-up of a bunch of Goa classics, and they seem to post a regular stream of bootleg remixes of other tracks, which are generally fun (or at least, not terrible). SynSUN is definitely a worthy project to be in the scene.

I hope you're kidding. Google is NOTORIOUS for dropping products in their stream without warning. Products used by people and businesses. Google has zero attachment to any of their different splinters. I would venture to state that Bandcamp will out last Google Play

This was discussed in another thread a year or two ago. When you buy on Bandcamp, you are paying for the digital download of the release. The online streaming is a free bonus and is not a lifetime guarantee. Some artists and labels leave things up indefinitely, so it can be easy to conflate the two concepts, but always assume that whatever you buy won't be available on the site later. If Bandcamp goes belly up, you should still have the local copy of your purchases. That's on you.

I give Draeke and Team DAT my full support with this. Digital people will have the opportunity to buy it soon. This has been a mystery for a long time and it'll be a great feeling to open up your mail, unpack the vinyl, and put the needle on. This track predates mp3s by a very long measure. Releases should be fun. =)

I'll always love vinyl. Happy to read about the new DATGOA vinyl series. Wish the alt version of the Doof release had a vinyl print too, but at this point I'll settle for a shirt... lololololol I have a horrible tendency of breaking CD cases and other shit. I'm also out of shelf space for CDs and most of my items don't even have disk drives. Heck, the drive on my laptop doesn't read disks anymore and it's a pain. Vinyl, it's for home listening and collecting. Maybe it'll hold its value, maybe it won't. But I'm happier "wasting" money on vinyl than on CDs

The Mind Rewind comps have a specific finite amount that were allowed to be pressed. Going digital complicates this. It's not too difficult of a concept.

I quit buying CDs a long time ago. I buy vinyl and digital. I like vinyl for home listening and collecting. FLAC for playing out, phone, and car.
