  1. I brought out Rip Van Hippy a few years ago. Him and Andrew Till. Was an astounding evening of music. I didn't have the budget to include SWM (and at the time Ollie was in hiding and may have not came out regardless), but that was a blast. I <3 Rip Van Hippy so much
  2. What do you mean about V2 with Ektoplazm? I thought he got the automated submission setup all sorted. I didn't contribute enough for a shirt or anything, but I thought he reported getting those out to people. Might want to hit him up directly if you have questions...
  3. (note: there is very little psychedelic trance on here, but there is indeed some....) [::::download::::] Genre: Psychedelic / Lullaby / Grebo / Industrial / Pop / Trance / Hip Hop / Post-Rock (82min/320MP3/199MB/©2016) Make America “Great” Again… You know, nostalgia is a heavy drug. While drugs such as alcohol, heroin, and methamphetamines get most of the media attention, one could possibly make the argument that the abuse of such drugs is deeply rooted in nostalgia, or the desire to feel comfort again. From the constant movie reboots and the current season of South Park’s Member Berries, to the election and even the onslaught of famous deaths this year; everything speaks of what once was and, to many, why it was special; always trying to recapture the lightning in a bottle. A few years back, one of the many shows getting the reboot/sequel treatment was Beavis and Butthead. Out of nowhere, MTV brought back Beavis and Butthead for one more season of hilarity. Within this season of shows was an episode about finding a woman and asking for her hand in marriage because it was what they saw in a movie. It was how it’s supposed to be and the media is always right. In the end, Beavis realizes that he has his own hand and he doesn’t need to listen to what the media tells him. Nostalgia is rarely accurate. The politics weren’t better. The job wasn’t better. The relationship wasn’t better. Music wasn’t better. Movies weren’t better. Life was not more simple, not more easy, and it certainly was not more fair or equal. Nostalgia can keep people from continuing to push through and grow; keep them from learning and keep them from trying to create something new. Nostalgia slows down story telling and slows down the drive of invention. That said, nostalgia is also a warm blanket and it is easy to recognize the general attraction to it, why babies love their blankies, and why the alcoholic will keep drinking. Don’t rest on what once was. Remember, you have your own hand. We don’t need to be junkies, feeding off of the elixir of better days. We need to simply wake up and realize that, contrary to popular belief, it is indeed a Good Morning! (as always, I encourage you to listen to the mix without peeking at the track list, but the track list is below for those who need one…) Click button for track list goaconstrictor.com/music/good-morning-5/
  4. Have you never heard the story regarding The Verve and Bittersweet Symphony? Fuck The Rolling Stones...
  5. Nervasystem (and Nervasystem and Aether) would be lovely to see and Coburn
  6. Process live was incredible and a seriously psychedelic mind fuck Brought him out to the Pacific Northwest about 4 or 5 times. The first time was his only truly live set. The others were great DJ sets and DJ + Extra Manipulation sets. Here are some photos from that event: https://www.facebook.com/thegoaconstrictor/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1125075010862044
  7. I'm remembering why I've steered clear of this thread for a few months. The USA is a big place with many hands in the pot (both monetary and simply those with "values" and ideas). The USA is hugely imperfect, but that imperfection can (not necessarily is) be one of its strengths... The USA has made, and does make, many mistakes, but we have an ability to correct them. While people discredit our democracy, it kind of works. Eventually, someone will try to game the system and it might even work for a short bit, but we get course corrected. We're in a strange flux here but, I hope, after this election, we can make some better decisions and progress. (and now I'll probably check out again because I hate arguing on the Internet, it's a bad trait of mine. don't want to burn bridges with my lovely psytrance lovers...)
  8. Younger Brother - Train (the original vocal version from the regular Vaccine release)
  9. Seriously. Can a mod or admin update the settings on here to prevent that madness from happening?
  10. When it comes to Nano Records, Tongue & Groove are the kings. Funky, acidic, groove oriented psychedelic trance music. No full-on stomp. Just pure solid groove. They seem to be the extension of what the Green Nuns could have gone had they stayed together and what Dick Trevor seems uninterested in producing anymore. (sorry for the threadjack...)
  11. I saw that! Thank you! I think that's a great place and idea and hopefully people will utilize it and have better success =)
  12. this looks pretty sweet! Tongue and Groove are fucking awesome too...
  13. Maybe Doof will tour to support his eventual shirt release lolololololol
  14. I got to hear Darshan live a couple of weeks ago, so that has been checked off of the list. I'd love to travel back in time and experience the proper Green Nuns live show (not the recent Dick Trevor DJ sets) Shaolin Wooden Men Blue Planet Corporation Union Jack (the real one) Mark Allen DJ set The Zap! James Reipas Man With No Name Space Cat
  15. I'm really excited that this music moved you enough to write a negative review seven years after it was originally released and then ignored... You really just gave this album more cred than it has previously...
  16. Seriously. Poor E-Rection. X-Dream stole all of their glory for this
  17. The album really reminds me of classic mid-90s era Platipus Records. Oh I keep loving this the more I listen to it. Tracks 2 and 7 are so special!
  18. Here's a live recording of my Fried Kale project. I was recording some practices leading up to a gig last week so that I could tighten up some of the effects and transitions. The club I played at had some issues and that recording didn't come out well, but here's one of my practices: friedkale.com/audio/FriedKale-Live-2016.mp3
  19. I would definitely snuggle Ticon together with this grouping that the likes of Ace Ventura and Perfect Stranger
  20. A mini run of 12 shirts! lololol If you send me the art work, I'll print my own out here
