  1. Yeah. Simon talked about it on the old goa mailing list-serv from the 90s/early-2000s. goa@party.net and 604@party.net He had an account (whiningtrancer@yahoo.com if memory serves) He posted a list of corrections and songs and such Gumbo had an entire album recorded but was abandoned. I could be mistaken about the song being attributed to Gumbo vs Hallucinogen, but I very much remember him mentioning that Shamanix is a remix of an earlier song that he is entirely embarrassed by and that it would never be released. This is also where I read about that 15 or 20 minute remix of Slinky Wizard (that I finally got to hear at ZNA a few years back)
  2. Shamanix itself is technically a remix of an earlier Gumbo track called something like "Song of the Shaman" or "Dance of the Shaman" or some shit. Shamanix is a remix (hence, Shaman"ix") So the Space Cat remix is likely 30 years later but few people have heard the original as the Gumbo release was scrapped
  3. My at home listening is far from ideal. I desperately need new speakers and a new receiver
  4. That's kinda frustrating for someone who just purchased all of the albums less than a year ago
  5. I got an email long ago with a download link/code. I would assume you may have too. It was to the email address of the gofundme campaign, not my Bandcamp email address, if that helps you locate it. Love the album and art work. Real special release. Truly appreciate the intentionality behind this release and all of Drezz's stuff. Elektrik Orgasm is truly missed
  6. This is a regular place for me to stop by. Don't always have much to contribute. After I stopped hosting a weekly radio show and writing regular music reviews, I am a bit less extroverted with content and things to say but my last name is Goa and I will always want to consume, learn, and interact in some way.
  7. Very akin to Darshan's early pre-Awakening era Good stuff
  8. Still kicking myself for missing the Out of Orbit vinyl release from Diggers Factory =(
  9. I'm very excited to be added as a Guardian this year! Looking forward to sharing music with peeps that first night 😃 Hope to see some of y'all there 😃
  10. that's pretty sweet! wish the Younger Brother albums were a bit more special with their packaging and pressings, but at least I finally have them all on vinyl. Flock of Beeps has REALLY grown on my over the past few years since Vaccine dropped. Flock of Beeps is a real fucking legit album
  11. Excited for the album Drezz! You're good peeps and your music is so unique and brilliant. Wish more people listened and respected your craft and what you bring. Elektrik Orgasm remains a high water mark of record labels Be well dude =) Hope our paths cross again and send Seanie and his family my love <3
  12. Thank you for the Indoor recommendation @Basilisk! I love both Ofer and Avi and, somehow, never learned of or listened to Indoor until about 04 or 05 years ago (same with Tandu). Good good stuff =)
  13. The past couple of sets I've seen of Juno have been rather... meh. I miss the live shows with Amampondo =( Needs to stop playing that fucking Gravity Kills remix...
  14. I really wish I could organize my music in multiple folders at once. I use Tags for OSX to designate format/bit level (FLAC v WAV v MP3) but I can't use it for genres in the same way. It would be great, without making copies and wasting space, or doing shortcuts/aliases, and place files in multiple folders for easy access/retrieval when digging for music. I'm trying to get better at tagging stuff within Rekordbox, as it would kinda work the same, I just only listen via Rekordbox when actively DJing, not just when listening/looking for music.
  15. ???? I must have missed some drama but that's all a bummer to read. Hope everyone is okay...
  16. Ooooh! Great topic and I need to go through a take some notes. I use a pair of OnePlus Buds that came in a package deal with my current phone. They are not great. They are okay but I would never actually encourage anyone to go buy them. I also have a paid of Sennheiser over the ear ones (HD 4.40BT). I rarely use them anymore though. Prefer the in-ear for regular walks/commuting/working out. I really want a new set of something though and will use this as a potential shopping list.
  17. I was just listening to this the other week. Fucking love that album and his sound. Was so refreshing and groovy when it came out. Good good stuff
  18. I don't see either of my comps on there, so I'd recommend Crop Circle Jerk Blue Balls
  19. Got that Yamabikaya release immediately. So stoked on that
  20. Dude! I fucking LOVE Yamabikaya I really need a digital copy of Growler Thank you for this release!
  21. Sean was great. He is really vested in the stockhausen music. He has heard me gush about how great the fest is, I have no idea if anyone has even approached him to play, but I would like to hope that it will happen
  22. Was posted a year ago =) Good times Click for Tracklist:
  23. Might want to remove the option to receive payment. Not everyone is cool with people making money on unofficial remixes/bootlegs... Can put up on Soundcloud with free downloads if that determined to spread it
