Psytrance tracks that blow your mind!
the goa constrictor replied to exotic's topic in General Psytrance
All 8 Satori tracks are awesome. Sean was planning on releasing them all remastered and on a single disk... like 15 years ago. Never panned out Love Satori -
Remixes you would like to hear of
the goa constrictor replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
Hard to say. So many remixes are terrible and so many tracks seem too perfect Although, every now and then you come across a perfect track, say "Mono Klang" by Process and it strangely gets turned into a completely different, yet totally awesome, remix by Terrafractyl. I don't know if I would want a remix, or if a simple remaster would work, but I'd like to hear a more freshened up "Intellect" by Psychaos Maybe "The Wizard Demo" by Deedrah (I could hear Nervasystem doing something interesting with that one) -
I'd have more respect and caring for your project if you weren't unnecessarily spamming a section of the forum that is reserved for topics not related to this. It is obvious your mother thinks you are hopeless and you live a life devoid of real relationships. Please continue to shove your head further up your own ass so that maybe one day, you'll begin to see daylight again.

So how do you perceive/define Psytrance?
the goa constrictor replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
Everything is psytrance -
I absolutely adore the album Nasha. If you want some lovely morning tracks, check out Texas Faggott, Mandalavandalz, Shiwa 2000, Pavel Svimba, Houpatasso Mononen I know, they have lots of tracks and a lot of non-morning tracks, but they have many that are super lovely There's normally a track or two on each album or compilation Do some digging, you'll find some good stuff =)

The album that dissapointed you the most
the goa constrictor replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
Infected Mushroom have always been shite, other than a few tracks here and there. I've never been disappointed by what I knew was going to be crap to begin with. -
What do you think about total Eclipse
the goa constrictor replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
*them/their/they (not him) unless you're talking about the post-Total Eclipse, not-Total Eclipse solo project stuff. meh Violent Relaxation will always hold a special place in my heart and Delta Aquarids was pretty decent too That was 20 years ago and required 3 people. But sure, I'll give them a pass as one from The Golden Age -
How to convert my collection CD'S into flac files ?
the goa constrictor replied to U.F.Orb's topic in General Psytrance
I've been slowly archiving most of my CDs, and some records, over to FLAC over the past few years. It's been a fun project I use XLD -
From what I gather, you shouldn't do small runs of CDs. Stick to the net-label angle...

will there be more tracks like LSD?
the goa constrictor replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
Space Cat's first 12" Kreak/Space Cats was fantastic and came out long before Beam Me Up Kreak is killer I definitely know that Beam Me Up was full of collaborations and that Simon co-produced the first track, and yes, it sounds like Avi got the same gate effect rack that Simon uses (dwarmer gate?) and this is exactly why it sounds like a Hallucinogen album. -
I used to work at a replication and duplication company for a short bit of time Think of it like the difference between a commercial espresso machine and a home espresso machine. One has a proper water boiler and pressure inside the steam wand, the other doesn't. Quite often, there is a difference between home and commercial

There is CD duplication and CD replication CD printing houses do them both. Both look legit and the same, one is essentially a high grade burn (and they are far better than home burning), the other is a glass master and would be official. Honestly, with the smallness of this scene, I expect duplication especially from the tiny 100-200 runs. Replication is for when you are doing, at least, 500

Phreaky is very average That said, I always thought that the first Space Cat album "Beam Me Up" sounded like a Hallucinogen album -
[::::download::::] (1hr20min/320MP3/195MB/©2015) Genre: Night Time Psychedelic Anniversary Goa Trance Goa Trance, while it did begin popping up a bit here and there in 1993 and 1994, was truly birthed (according to my KNOW-EVERYTHING-ABOUT-GOA brain) in 1995. So that means, 2015 is kind of, for lack of a better origin story, the pseudo (like the science often sampled in the songs) birthday/anniversary of what has been known as Goa Trance. Since its inception, it has taken many forms, changed many styles and sounds, and has even become the soundtrack to the horrible Matrix sequels. But, behind all of the shitty dodgy hippies, burnt out acid casualties, and nomadic loners, there are some truly special ufo communications that were had. I would like to wish Goa Trance a very happy and healthy 20th anniversary celebration and here is a little mix to get you in the mood. You might know some of these songs. You might not know some of these songs. There is some old, some new, some magic, some blue, some conga, some phasers, a blotter or two. Much like the great Black Rhino, White Rhino two-part compilation from Flying Rhino Records, this anniversary celebration will be split into two parts. This is definitely the one for when the kids have gone to sleep. We’ll touch upon the morning later this year… Track List: http://goaconstrictor.com/music/happy-20thish-anniversary-goa-trance-winter/

What's the worst goa track you've come across?
the goa constrictor replied to Oopie's topic in General Psytrance
This is an impossible topic. Are we sticking with straight old Goa? Including modern trauma trance? -
This is the single best response to all of this. Very good point. I forgot that these tracks were all recorded an bounced down to DAT or disk long before people were finishing tracks in higher bit rates. For labels like this and DAT records, totally no need for releasing higher bit rate audio files Thanks for the awesome releases thus far! Looking forward to hearing more of what you release

lolololol I sound so much more catty in hindsight. That said, I still like how bandcamp does allow you to sell your stuff in crazy stupid audiophile format. Also, apologies for being a catty dickwad at times...

I dunno, every time I put on SUN Project's '380 Volt'... I think "Gee, this sure sounds exactly like 'LSD' by Hallucinogen..." -
Old school albums that could use a Remaster
the goa constrictor replied to Penzoline's topic in General Psytrance
The original version of UX - Ultimate Experience is killer. Some of Ott's earlier engineering work. The remaster is ass.
