  1. Yes, Mahabharta is one of the top 5 neogoa trance tracks, IMO. I use it as a "emergency track": when I see people leaving the dancefloor, I play it, and everybody comes running back! The kick has a fairly long decay down to the sub frequencies while the bassline sits slightly above it with a nice tight roll off the kicks. Well, I didn't understand what you wrote but I agree
  2. As a newbie, don't make the mistake of praising Infected Mushroom. You risk being virtually bashed by a crowd big enough to fill Boom's dancefloor, and beyond .
  3. I don't know any other DJ who picks up his playlist like I do, my parameter is bassline, solely. I am not a musician, but I have enough dancefloor experience to understand that what makes people dance is the subwoofer frequency, the one you can barely hear, but it's the one that makes your body move. And the bassline that makes people dance is what some call "galloping". As a non-writer I perceive it as a three-step bassline. Here's what I play: Artha-Mahabharta (full version) Note that the bassline sounds like THU-THu-thu/THU-THu-thu/THU-THu-thu.... while Innerspace bassline sounds like thu-thu-thu-thu-thu..... Pardon my French for the thu-thu thing, but it's only way I can illustrate what I can't describe musically
  4. The whole album has a somber undernote. It was suggested to me by Gyro of Portalalca Party fame, but it didn't do well. I read at the time that many moving-hands-up-in-the-air people didn't like the blue feelings behind the tracks. A pity, it's a good album.
  5. I would not play it as a DJ, but it's much better than Innershift album - which received largely positive reviews here in Psynews. Well, critics are something personal.
  6. A great compiliation, though not my favorite. I don't like Muse's Rapt, Hallucinogen and Sun Project, for instance. I would pick Goa-Head #1.
  7. Good! It has been ages since I last listened to a tech-trance mix.
  8. Where are you guys listening to the samples? I haven't seen a link to them.
  9. No samples to listen to before downloading? No, thank you.
  10. Ok, now I understood. It's a epic trance tune, what I found was mostly house remixes. Good luck!!
  11. Ok, so you are looking for this same track with a house remix? Or is it a completely different track using the same lyrics?
  12. Huh, I didn't hear the whole sample, just the lyrics 'we gonna make a song that you never heard before' and I remembered it. I didn't understand: if this is the sample, then you know the whole track and its title, don't you?
  13. Hope this helps you: Speak - Eezma
  14. It is quite melancholic to my ears. What rocks one's melancholy is quite complicated, I think. Quantum-It Never Ends Album: Outrage (Yoyo Records 2007)
  15. Now, seriously, I play a lot of tracks when cleaning the house, we have 3 French bulldogs. They don't react to music at all.
  16. Do you mean, animals animals? Or animals, like some of my friends?
  17. You're right. But Psychowave aside, I haven't heard of these other DJs. But, inferring from their names they must be in the Northeastern, far from Sao Paulo, where I live. But I wonder how, being a Brazilian I haven't heard of them, while you do...it must be because there's not a psy/goa forum anymore in Brazil. Or, there is and I haven't heard of it?
  18. Neogoa albums don't sell due to another reason: even old psy trancers haven't heard of, say, Artha, E-mantra, or Filteria. NGis an obscure genre only a few - us - know it exists. I see that when psy DJs ask me what I am playing and when I tell it's NF, Artifakt 303, they are surprised. Most know by heart releases from Beatport, Saikosounds, Psyshop, but are not familiar with NG names. Here in Brazil I am sure I am the only Dj playing Goa/neogoa. NG is clearly an unknown territory.
  19. Watch out for satellites, planes, ducks, copters and kites!!
  20. The Delta - Thing (vinyl edit). The sharp, crystal drum beat is awesome. It makes you feel you are in front of a SS.
  21. It is it, right? Easy, easy!! Just a joke
  22. Only for the strong heads, and strong ears too. Jikooha appears from 7:20.
  23. My 2 cents: Paradise II - Atlantis The Experience of Taking a Step Into Someone's Dream - The Evolution The Blyz - What is Sound? All from the classic Logic Trance II album. I have one
  24. No problem, I don't see this as a personal attack. As for if it is a fact or not, it's up to each of us to have, or not, the willing to see it. My participation in this thread was not to prove anything. I achieved what I wanted: to bring the spiritual aspect of consuming drugs to the topic. Back to life, then.
  25. As usual from you, a winner track. From 3:57 it becomes awesome, trancey. 10/10.
