  1. Awesome work NF! Your tracks are my #1 priority, I never get tired of them. Keep doing Goa the way you do, it is wonderful.
  2. Time_Trap: I don't know about you, but I really felt a jolt of good surprise when I listened to this track the first time. A very intelligent, well written track. I am very happy there are artists doing such a good work. If you liked it, try listening to "Perception", to me it's the "Mahadeva" of this new generation. 3. 2012 started really bad for me: the day after my birthday I fell from a small ladder and broke my leg severely - to the point of doctors considering to cut it off. Fortunately they opted for trying to fix it. Now six months later, I am recovering. But I raise my hands to heaven everyday and thank for the fact that my injury was minor in comparison to what I saw while I was hospitalized. Thank for not having my skull or my spine broken when I fell over some bricks, and for having my family and my partner taking good care of me. Soon after that our beloved dog, a French Bulldog, died on my doorsteps. It still hurts to think that she was such a good friend, and I never expressed my love for her the same amount she expressed for me, every time she saw me. But that's life. I believe in life after life, so despite being sad for losing her, I have this soothing sensation that she is there, somewhere, waiting for us. Musically speaking, I had to postpone the party I am planning from May to September, due to my broken leg. I am really excited about organizing it, I love to do some deco - this party I will do some string deco, inspired by some old Avikal work. Also, I feel energised by some discoveries I made recently. To my surprise there's a different sort of goa music around - you guys must have seen me praising Nova Fractal, Cosmic Silence, Siam for their "full on" style of goa. It is the sort of goa that I love, but unfortunately it is not so easy to find. 2012 is just like any other year of my life: some bad things, some good. But I try to appreciate both for the sake of learning. Good rest of 2012 for you out there
  4. Thanks guys for your recommendations. I liked them all, Cosmic Silence track is what I am looking for: powerful kick, contagious bassline and amazing multi-layer effects. Awesome track!
  5. A remix with 'trippy angeli vocals' ? Don't you take too long to show us your version. I am really excited about that!!!
  6. This track just blew me away. It is the perfect definition of the word "trance". I forgot I had it on my playlist and was listening randomly to some tracks yesterday on my sound system. When it started it blew me away immediately. I need more energetic, powerful tracks like Nova Fractal's "Perception". IMO, best neogoa track ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fn6U0DpW8U
  7. You know, just last night I was listening randomly while having a beer to some tracks and one of them just blew me away. I had forgotten I had "Perception" in my tracklist. Again, I have no words enough to describe this album and especially this track. It took me to the dancefloors in my mind. I think it's been more than a decade since I listened to something so good, so powerful. Perhaps I have some words indeed. Being a hard-to-please listener I am sure I can say "Perception" is the best neogoa track so far. Once again Nova Fractal your work is awesome. I can't help but share this track with others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fn6U0DpW8U
  8. Who said androids and apples can't share experiences? LOL.
  9. It is from 1995, I have it in an album from Rumour Records. But it is not the first psy track. By 1994 the RTTS crew were already calling "psychedelic trance" some tracks they thought were different from the usual Goa they played at their parties. So, the first psy track must be from somewhere around 1993-1994...
  10. I agree with most of you guys, Goa is diverse and rich. My point was to label it to make it easier to search instead of easier to listen to. I loved the different styles of goa listening to Destination Goa series. In the same CD you would listen to darker and lighter tracks, in perfect combinations. But if you decide to search for specific trends, it's quite complicated: you end up with nitz, neogoa, etc...and it takes time to comb and separate one genre from the other. Well, anyway, in the flyer we're going to call it a "Full Goa Party" which describes better what we're gonna play.
  11. Listened to it, liked it a lot. It is the sort of goa that I am trying to collect for my party in September. Good one. Ps. Matrox is not a progressive psytrance track. I would call it a tech-trance one. Pity you didn't enjoy it.
  12. I am with Time_Trap on this topic: some real nice tracks, but nothing outstanding. But I concede that this is cycle - I have wrote about this in other topics - that affects almost other genres of music. IMO, writers have to study music more, to get used to live instruments. The first generation of goa/psy writers came from different areas of music: rock, heavy metal, 1980s electronica, Brian Eno-esque music. That is why it was so rich. This new generation found goa/psy's formula ready to digest. It is not a bad thing, but it will take some time until someone come with a surprising new bassline or arpegios. In the meantime, let's appreciate the good music we have for now.
  13. Wow, 18 years between the release and this mix. Goa does not get old. I will listen to it later. May I suggest that you remix of his most recent "Matrox"? It's a progressive monster, one of my favorites ever. Good job.
  14. Thanks for the tips. I played a little with Psynews on my iPhone, and I discovered that if your bookmarked hp is www.psynews.org, then the small font screen opens. But, if you bookmark www.psynews.org/forums then a trimmed page, suited for the size of the screen opens, with fonts easy to read.
  15. Well, after all I have been using the Mobile version all along. But I thought it couldn't be the Mobile, for most sites that have a Mobile option, the interface and the fonts are re-sized to fit the small screen of smartphones. As it's hard to read Psynews in my iPhone, I thought I was using the full version. Well, thanks for your help.
  16. @Richpa: I think that I would call full-goa or, if you want, prog-Goa, only the track featured in Omega Point album - if we're talking about PharaOm. The other track, is a neogoa track.
  17. I have an example right now of how problematic and time-consuming it can be: it took me two days to download Schallusion free album at my job place, I didn't have the time to listen to the previews. And according to responses the album received here in Psynews I was expecting something 'harder', but despite liking his album, it's not at all the sort of Goa I want to be played in my party. So, I wasted two days to listen to something quite different from what I wanted. My idea of labelling this harder genre as full-goa, is to make it more accessible, easier to find. My hope is that the likes of NeoGoa Records, Ektoplazm adopt this subdivision. Of course, if you guys think Goa has more sub-genres, it would be great to label them.
  19. Ok, found it at the bottom left of the site. Never been there before, that's why I couldn't find it. Well, I will try switching back and forth and see what happens. Thank you for your help.
  20. According to what other members describe as the colors of the Limed Out theme, I am not using it, I don't know why. The colors I see are different hues of blue, not the dark grey I read in the comments. Is there some place inside Psynews where I can change themes? I am not aware of that. Thanks.
  21. Ok, I will try it later. Here's the screenshot: Thanks.
  22. Ok, let's not get into an iOS vs Android imbroglio. I already make part of a forum almost dedicated solely to that - you learn a lot of new dirty words every 30 seconds. That's enough for me. When I open www.psynews.org on my iPhone, the same screen I see on my Mac opens. I went down to the bottom of the HP and there's this option: Get the free IP. Board App for iPhone now!, when I press it a message saying that it was not possible to do the task appears. That is why I asked if this option is OK, from your end-front point of view as admins. Thanks!
  23. God forbid I am seen with an Android on my hands, to my peers it would mean: 1) I got poorer than I already am or, 2) I have lost the sense of good things or, 3) I am a loser or 4) I don't have any idea of what technology is. None of which matches my profile. Thanks for the help, Insejn, but if this is a problem here with my iPhone, instead of Psynews, I prefer to stay with my iPhone and forget what Psynews is.
  24. I have a question: when I log in to Psynews from my iPhone I see exactly the same interface I see on my Mac - and this is a problem, for I can't read without doing some magnifying the text more than 100%.. Once, but only once, Psynews site was displayed in more friendly interface for a smartphone. I tried to click on the "Psynews for iPhone" option, but it didn't work. My question is: does Psynews have an interface to be viewed properly in smartphones? If yes, is this option working ok? Thanks in advance.
