  1. @Jon Crow: what a spectular view. I am typing from Bauru, State of Sao Paulo. Brazil.
  2. Why? I haven't heard Boris in ages. They abandoned the refined side of the scene, but a vast part of the same scene embraces them, even if this part is the mediocre one. They are doing Crapsy, but it's psy anyway.

Believe me, it's not only you. I know people who can see while they're awaken, not in their sleep. But, do not worry. The moment you are not scared of seeing them anymore, you will sleep more.
  4. I would love to have Psynews interviewing Olli & GMS, to hear what they have to say about this "masterpiece".

    Insomnia

RTP, since the first time you posted your insomnia episodes I thought of mentioning an obscure - and spiritual - aspect of this situation. But, as I saw that you were talking about the medical side of it solely, I decided to wait a while. Now that you have mentioned you see presences beside you, I may tell you my true opinion. You may not believe it, but these presences are real. There's something you're doing that are attracting them to you. Some people call them ghosts, others spectrums. I call them spirits. They're not malevolent, but they are also far from being "enlightned" and they fine-tune with you. When you see them when you're sleeping is what is causing you to be scared. The solution? It is simple, and complicated at the same time: faith in God, and correcting whatever thing that is working as the "attraction" to these souls. This is my personal opinion, based on my own experiences and books I have read. You are free to not believe in them, but I honestly hope it helps you.
  6. MO: you should study line-ups more carefully (in a sober state, I mean) before you open you wallet and trash your hard-earning euros. Right now, a 60 km radius from my house two full-onish parties are going on. One is pure crap, you can infer from the names, all wannabe DJs and their associates playing exactly what you heard yesterday night. The other is a little darker, so I guess with some quality. But I think good melodies are getting harder to find in psychedelic trance, no matter what subgenre.
  7. To sound Hardfloor-like, your track should have a higher bpm, and lots of 303. The way it is, it sounds like something pre-pre-pre-acid house. Acid house from 1975,
  8. Heard the Orka-Technodrome track twice, with my mind open, trying to see the magic you saw. I saw none, the whole stuff is horrible. Basslines, melodies, the kick :( , they're poor, mediocre. Full-on is a great sub-genre, not that much honestly, but these tracks are not.
  9. I am Kardecist. What? Ok, here's the wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiritism
  10. I was one who didn't vote. Simply because I don't know 80% of the works in the list. I don't have the time or the balls to care about all of them, to listen to everyone and then vote. What would make me vote was a system with nominees. Say, we could recommend a work to be voted as a nominee for "best of 2011", and only the top 20 could make the final list. Then we would vote only on these 20 works, and from there a Best 10 of 2011 would come out. MO, anyway.
  11. I am looking for an India chill out FM online to play in my lounge bar, with India music elements. It is the most requested music from our customers. So please, if you know one, please share with us. Thx.
  12. I use a very old one: Personal Conversation. Which is a problem these days
  13. Well, I loved the atmospherics, but it sounds like one million other tracks, mainly because of the ultra-generic bassline you chose and the ultra-formulaic FXs. Why don't you dare a little? You might get surprising reviews. But not this time. Good luck!!
  14. For those who miss a real, good, groovy, old-time like party... http://beatculture.music.jp.msn.com/event/110705_sunflower_circle_vol.2/default.htm Enjoy!!!! Wish I could be there.
  15. I really liked you first mix, the one I have heard so far. But is it my ears, or are all the tracks leveled up to 150 bmp and rising?
  16. Sorry for that. I thought you were one of those who see everything thru pink lenses.
  17. You're naive, for 2 reasons: 1) How can you say you don't listen to bad music, if you have not heard it. For in order to tell the good from the bad, you need to listen to it. 2) You can't say that if have heard samples. One needs not listen to the whole track before learning it's bad or not. I think it;s "cute" opinions like yours does not help at all.
  18. Talking about movies, I recently rented one with a rubber shark so badly designed it made us laugh and then later angry. Such a waste of time. As for music, I am so used to listening to samples of really bad music that I don't register it anymore - there are so many to bother about, I just got used to them. Can't even name one.
  19. I use Gmail, but I think it's crappy. It's slow, it crashes a lot. I hope Google+ works better than its relatives. I have tried both FB and Twitter, but the first I found it too complicated, too many rules. The second, neurotic and useless. I read recently that FB is losing members by the thousands everyday. The magic is getting tiresome, I guess.
  20. I just watched the most exciting soccer match ever: USA vs Brazil playing the World Cup quarterfinals . The women's side of the game, I mean. USA just stunned Brazilians with an incredible equalizer goal in the last minute before the stoppage time, then finished the work in the penalties. A wonderful match, I just wished men's teams would play with the same passion as these women did. Congrats USA! PS. If you aren't aware of this match, youtube it. Thrilling ;)
  21. Not at all. I am not picky about transitions - see, I have this admiration for Goa Gil, for the songs he chooses for his set and also for his not caring much about matchings. Well, I think I am an old school DJ, that must explain my not caring much also. What I am really picky about are the tracks, it they're good then the mix is worthy, no matter what. Anyway, share your mix with us. Tech-trance mixes are so rare, I am really curious about the tracks you have selected.
  22. di.fm? Some awesome mixes/tracklists, some awful too.
  23. I think you should try "Counting Spirals" in your mix, it may sound different depending on how you match it to other tracks. As for the mix quality, you're right, it's not perfect. I mixed the tracks without a previous rehearsal, for I don't enjoy those cirurgically lasered mixes that sound like were done by a from-the-future robot and not by a guy in his bedroom drinking a beer. I could have fixed the mis-matchings, just had to push a button in the mastering process, but that would make it perfectly boring, IMO. I understand you didn't like Boo Reka's track, but I had to close my mix with something strong, powerful, that's why I picked his track.
  24. Thanks Shaman, your report was touching, somehow. I was surprised to discover that they felt discontent with the way "Ten" was remixed. Now I know that that piece of crap did not come from their brains. I feel relieved for that. One point I could not understand is why they are bound to a label and its rules, when they could release their tracks on their own site, for free or not. Anyway, only a few people would buy it. The vast majority would only dowloade it - thus making the role of a label diminished by the market. IMO, they could release via Ektoplazm.com, it would not make a difference the way it was released. What really matters is the feeling, something I hope they still keep nurturing.
  25. I think the dark side of early Goa that you mentioned was a reflect of the politic culture which those artists, and us, were surrounded by. The Neogoa artists are a fruit of videogame culture generation, their backgrounds are much lighter than what we lived in 1980/1990, that's why Neogoa sounds so light, so sweet. I suggest Alienapia, it's darker than the rest, but even so it's not emotional.
