Partner or not, she IS a big name in the Goa history. Love "Year 2000" and other dozen tracks. Hope she releases something new, but still keeps her style.
-
Call it an underground scene! Well, you're really lucky: Miranda and Dimension 5 in a row. I call it a dream.
-
Oh my, this video made me all goosebumped Good old times...this is true Goa. As a friend of mine says "we were happy and we didn't know that"

That's her, playing all time favorite Gnoochi

I was youtubing Astral Projection and was glad to find a recent video with Miranda Silvergreen live. Any new news about this Trancing Girl?
-
I am stunned by Children...it's quite short, but you can feel it's gorgeous. That sort of slow melody is really catchy. I am really excited with 'dunes' and 'children' d2kx, I hope I am mistaken, but 'dominion' sounds like an 'Amen' track: way too progressive. Boring.
-
To me, on the other hand, it's quite cheesy. The melodic keyboard sequence is really annoying. And where's the drum in the middle of all that cheap sugar? And mind you, I am an AP hard fan.
-
Well, in Psyshop they're in the 'psychedelic trance' category.
-
Just listened to it. Why call that psytrance? IMO it sounds more like indie. If it were only instrumental, it'd be great.

Well, errr... very good, but you should release your tracks as para-para, not goa.

@ rotwang: I don't think I can explain it. But I learnt to appreciate Prince over the years. I have a friend who has all his albums, and I remember I used to make jokes about him being his fan. Now, you know, I do regret I didn't have the ears to listen to his songs more carefully back then (one example: I love Chaka Khan's "I Feel for You" from 1986, and just last year I discovered it's a Prince's song). I see Prince as a fine writer and musician. His songs are full of twisted humor, funny sadness, laughing love affairs (like "If I was your girlfriend"). Of course he had his lows, like the Batman album, but even that is good. I think this change of mind of mine came when I started listening to black music. My Iphone now has a huge collection of funk, soul, jazz. I think I learnt to hear Prince after that.

@ reyu: man, you have a sense of humor! I remember the first time I heard "If I wa..." I couldn't stop laughing. You know, I always wondered what Prince would sound like if he was into psy. He's one of the best artists ever, I love his version of "Crimson & Clover" . Have you heard it? It's touching.

In some social networks, such as FB, Myspace, among others, you can choose one song to describe your emotions, personality, your lifestyle. Want to share yours here? Tell us why you think your favorite song tells so much about you. Mine is Camillo- Analogical I feel in love with this track the very first time I heard it, in long gone 1992. It's featured in legendary Trance Europe Express series, vol.2, the one with the turtle on the cover. One of my favorites art covers. I love its suave, slow ambient texture underneath, the relaxing, 'drifting in space' feelings it brings to me, and the lovely, discreet beat. I think it makes me nostalgic too, for it was sort of a healing track to me during a dark moment of my sentimental life. It always makes me calm down, to deaccelarate life a little bit.

I like Psynews the way it is. I sometimes post in Isratrance - if you want a crowded place, with a lot of minuses, killlaaargh! comments, controversial reviews, that's the place for you - but it's completely clueless. I also post in another forum in my language, Portuguese, it's also somehow "slow". It's OK to be slow, you can appreciate things more carefully, have a richer conversation, learn more. Haven't you heard about the "slow down movement" yet? Make a search, it's good.

Hey, Praga Khan! Here's a tracklist from 1991, from Juliana's Tokyo club - a legend in Asia and Japan. I still have the vol.1 CD, the cover is so simple, so Japanese, that its simplicity makes it chic. At that time, Belgian techno was the rage. It was soon after that that Goa trance came around, I remember that vol.4 of Juliana's Tokyo featuread a MWNN track. It was a great club, and some tokyoites miss it to this day. http://www.lastfm.com.br/music/Various+Artists/Juliana's+Tokyo+-Legend-+%5BDisc.1%5D

psy track that makes you high without actually doing drugs?
Procyon replied to Lemmiwinks's topic in General Psytrance
Never took drugs, I don't even know what stones taste like. Though I have tons of friends who do it. Here are my drugs: It makes me float in space, I love the "yokkai" whispering voice... best bassline ever, IMO. I still dance in my backyard to this track http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1lsl1p-rls -
I really like watching sports that involves fine techniques. Right now I am watching FINA's platform diving, which is happening in England. I play soccer every now and then. I would like to be more skilled at volleybal and basketball, but being 1.56m tall doesn't help much What I am really good at is swimming and trekking, which I practice. I really pull for Socceroos and Sydney F.C., . Hope they do better in future.

Moonweed??? :) A pity there's no samples to the CD. -
An everyday resolution to be a better man today than I was yesterday - despite shameful failings. But I keep trying. This is for a long term. For short term: saving for vacation in NY, buying another MacBook, founding an environmental NGO.

Hmm I just read that the JNAA will upgrade the current level 5 to level 7 - it seems that things are no so under control up north. Well, I have just arrived from my voluteering job at the local hospital, now I am having a coffee, watching CSI, waiting my bf call from his job to bring him home, and listening to Double sweet Captain of The Heart.
-
I liked his basslines, loved them. You probably could dance to them solely. I agree that Technologic sounds as if there's a cushion in front of the speakers.

OT: is this Shidapu in the Old Is Gold 11 line-up the famous Shiva Shidapu? Or just similar names?
