  1. I don't think there are underrated artists in the psy scene. It's just that this scene is small, really small, and there are so many artists - due to the fact that writing a track and releasing it is way too easy. Take me as an example: I don't know, aside you guys over the internet, a single guy who listen to psy more frequently than to, say, AC/DC. It may seem that the scene is big, because we talk so much about psy in the cyber world. But, let's check. I don't think that Psynews has more than 80 really active members, Isratrance must have 100 or so. I am a member of the biggest forum in my country, with organizer, artists, deco crews, labels all there - there must be 30 people who really take part in the scene. You may argue that festivals like BOOM and Ozora attract tens of thousands of people. Again, let's be realistic: of these tens of thousands, most are "parachuters" - people who enjoy psy, but also hip-hop, rock, pop, etc. Also, add to this formula, the average mediocrity of men: good stuff doesn't please the crowds. Britney, Rihanna, are here to prove that true.
  2. IMO, the whole early 2000 tech-trance stuff is unbeatable in this aspect: M.O.S., The Delta, Booreka, Spirallianz among others... M.O.S. - Clouds
  3. Elysium, I love GANESH. However, since the first time I heard it (1990-something) I realised it had a poor mastering quality. It sounds like it's been played inside a cardboard box. I am not criticizing - there are a lot of wonderful tracks from the 1990s that had the same problem. It must have some thing related to the then technology. But, you being half of Sheyba, I suggest directly to you to remaster it. It's a gorgeous track, I still play it every now and then, people still shout and dance like crazy to its melody. It deserves a 2011 version.
  4. Well, not actually Goa. Despite that Subtara's track from 3:00 on is pure Goa - but because that piece of melody is really a Goa track, I just can't remember its title (isn't it a Man With no Name's old track?). But I think the formula is the other way round: some elements you think is Goa actually is 1980s trance, like the 303 that was incorporated into Goa, and not introduced by Goa.
  5. There are som many to mention. But there's one that really sticks to my mind: Absolum & 3D Records Tour in Japan - Nagoya (2001) However I have to make it clear that in 2001, Absolum still was playing his old tracks (I had an orgasm with "Goldfinger"), not the psychedelic-garbage he plays currently. I remember that at 6am sharp, the Japanese club manager turned on all the lights because their contract stated that exactly at 6 am the sound was over, but the Japanese (and a lot of foreigners) refused do leave the club and everybody was shouting "more! more! more!" And then someone (was it Elysium?) played more 3 tracks. It was glorious!!
  6. After reading some comments, reviews, etc, I realized that to some people progressive trance is in a league of its own, not related to goa or psytrance. Not being a fan of progressive, but knowing of acts like Liquid Soul and Ace Ventura, I see that progressive has some elements in common with psy: namely, the melody. And some quite different ones: the basslines. But I can't come to a clear conclusion: is progressive trance related to psy?
  7. In Void is one of my favs Goa tracks. I have played it regularly, people love it. Keep going, SIAM, I just love your style.
  8. Saikosounds is reliable, IMO. Also, Japanese shops are 200% honest.
  9. Sorry for all your troubles. But I can't help appraising your good taste "Infinitism" is a must-have, one of the best electronic music albums ever, no matter what genre you're into. It's a pity that Chi-ad's page has closed down, he used to sell his albums over there.
  10. Loved the tracklist. But, err, forgive my ignorance: what is exactly "neotrance"? AFAIK, this tracklist is made up of techno and tech-trance artists. Or am I wrong?
  11. Plutodelic: ?? 2010? As much as I love MWNN, Teleport belongs to 1990s Goa classics, as long as I remember. BTW, any news on a new album from this British wizard?
  12. You guys should stop with this "it's you!" vs "it's you!". Psy scene is not big, but it's vast enough for allowing people to have bad and good taste, and a lot of things in-between. What Imba said is true, that list is a pop-scene delirium. But his own recommendations sometimes sound quite "Goa pop" too, way too cheesy and sweeet. And do not forget we're on a forum, isn't it that the special place where we can express our selfish opinions and ruin, with great happines and joy , somebody else's day?? Well, back to the topic. My top Ten is Ectima's Ground Defense tech-trance album. Fell in love with it!! As it's a 9 track album, the last one goes to Astral Projection's "Dunes of Gold", that d2k2 posted here. Despite the bad sound quality, it's clear it's gonna be another AP classic!
  13. Mars: Err, you mean ""NO money, Drugs and Psytrance"? It would sound more appropriate. Talk about dirty business: what about producers that leave artists with no air ticket to get back home, no money, lost in a country no one understands English and where his fans only recognize him if only they are on the verge of a overdose? That's what you read in Isratrance... But this Kagdila thing is getting better and better, I mean to the outsiders of psy-production backstage. Now, we just need a girls' naked body, more drugs and junk food to start psy's version of "Trainspotting".
  14. I don't remember saying that this slow-traffic thing happened to everybody, including YOU . I wrote it took ME a long time to open his link, something around 2 minutes. And if you read it carefully, I tried to help Frozen Dream, telling him to move his tracks to a more friendly enviro - BECAUSE it's proven that people SAY they wait a page in front of them to open, if they think it's important. But when they are really waiting for it to open, they FEEL angry, or disappointed, or think the site is amateur and give up. They just forge what they said.
  15. My gosh! Today I had a revival, listened to my 1980's compilation - the best year for music ever!! I loved that hair, I spent tubes of gel and lacquet on that! Love Roert Smith
  16. ONE minute? Man, my friend you need to update your ideas about web traffic. Yahoo! lost 20% of their sole hit traffic (and consequently their profits, in millions of dollars) because they changed their theme and it caused pages to upload 0,025 microseconds late, in average. You have to remember that a person is not in front of the computer only to open your page. Right now, I have 7 opened in front of me. If a page is heavy or slow to upload, then I just give up and try another one. I am telling you all this bla-bla-bla because I am a site builder and I know how some business lose money because of seconds, or fractions of it.
  17. "Killargh!!" ? rs. What's this sub-genre? I thought it was only brainless comments you read in Isratrance. If you don't mind a correction: House came from Detroit Techno, one can read it in specific sites dedicated to House (not the house we hear today, but the real thing, Acid House). And you missed an important trance sub-genre: the so-called Dreams, which had Robert Miles' "Children" as its apex. Anyway, nice chart, it's good to see that EDM is so rich.
  18. Hey, I tried to listen to it, but the page is taking ages to upload, I think it's the header banner and all the ads. Move it to a friendlier enviro, or else you will lose potential buyers - and fans.
  19. Despite not being a progressive trance fan, I enjoy the likes of AV and Liquid Soul. But, musically, they're sort of entraped in a formula that can't be touched: prog is the mid-path between full-on and minimal. If they accelerate it a little, it becomes full-on. If they slow it down, then it's minimal. That's why the tracks sound like a version of each other. Plus, they seem to use the same FX, the same melody, the same kick. IMO, prog will be soon what full-on became 5 years ago: you get tired of it.
  20. Penzoline: as for the Private Message you sent me: I think you are stupid. You mix the boundaries of "opinion" and "respect". I hate it when a person digs lower and lower trying to grab his enemy by the ankles.
  21. Penzoline: Nectarios made a comment, then rectified it, but you keep going on about this shit. You know what man, you yourself are a THICK SHIT? What's next? You're going to hack their computers to show their private pictures? YOU SUCK!
  22. Wow! Again the best line-up? The Delta X-Dream Transwave MWNN Sabaii Sabaii Eat Static Prometheus Union Jack Those alone are worth going to Ozora 2011. Is there any chance that four first ones will be playing new stuff? Also, if Astral Projection does release their promised album, they could be a precious addition to this magnificent line-up.
  23. Uh, Ormion, not wanting to piss on your champagne tulip...but do you know you can be sued for that sort of "accusation"?
  24. Got it this morning . What can be said? Incredibly good is little for that. Loved the space ambience permeating all the tracks, the galloping bassline, the excelent studio work. Everything is top of the tops, IMO. Long live Cybernetika!! And Ektoplasm for making such a must-have album free!!
