Up and down but I'm really pleased to see Goa influencing more main stream trance a lot more now as well thanks to JOOF and Paul Oakenfold / John Askew starting up Perfecto Fluoro again. Peetu S' s new EP out on Monday showcases a really unique sound I'd love to see more of - dark, acidic Goa Trance in a more up to date 140 style.

there's some really great hypnotic techno around at the moment. I thoroughly recommend Adam Beyer's Drumcode podcast as it supports the best kind of Techno! This is brilliant, proper old skool Oliver Lieb stuff. Love it! He's never been away, just been making different styles. Oh and hypnotic trance is making a comeback. All my immediate family have had cancer and I lost my dad to it so really wish you all the best in your fight against it. secondly - amithaba buddha. I've been watching the situation on facebook. What an absolute joke Felipe is. To get to the point where you are THAT screwed up is a real issue. He needs help. It's such a shame because his music is fantastic, but if he's going to act like that against the label that arguably brought Goa back from the deep underground, I have no time and no respect.

It's not dying but it's evolving for sure. I would say the best psy stuff now is probably the kind of stuff Joof plays. Deep, dark and heads down stuff. A lot of the full on stuff is too.... cheesy these days! Like every genre though there's good stuff and bad stuff.

that's because most EDM fans in the US are fanboys of Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery, W&W, Gash Berlin etc. Basically everything that's wrong with the scene. Goa will grow over there in time I'm sure

in the same vein - check this out. Indecent Noise run Mental Asylum Records has been churning out some banging tech trance since launch last year and their first release this year is this... 1 min 38 seconds... main riff.... pure Goa.

yeah - the new stuff will be coming out on a 3rd album in the summer of 2013

argg! Why does everything take so long with Astral Projection!! Bloody ridiculous! Can't believe it's now been SIX YEARS since I first heard about this album. Was really hoping that remix of Feeling Very Weird would have been out by now
