Here's a couple of tracks you might want to consider. You may already have these two: > Alan Parsons & Shpongle - Antarctica (VA - Everlasting) > Alan Parsons / Shpongle / David Gilmour - Return To Tunguska (A Valid Path) Here's a few other tracks that are somewhat similar to Shpongle: > Androcell - Night Sorceress (Entheomythic) > Androcell - Higher Circuit Experience (Entheomythic) > The Kumba Mela - Himalayan Dub (VA - Elucidations) > Illuminus [Hux Flux JV] - Titanium Rain (VA - Global Goa Trance Network)

I know Suntrip took every effort to make this a great album, but I can't listen to it because I find the high frequency melodies so shrill and harsh. In a word, unpleasant. Just to confirm my opinion, I also listened to samples at both Suntrip and Beatport, on both speakers and headphones. I really want to like the album, but I can't finish any of the tracks.

Very nice. How about making it available for download?

If you like Shpongle then I also recommend Yggdrasil - Prose Edda.

Play better music. -
It probably varies from country to country. I am familiar with Bat Mitzvahs / Bar Mitzvahs in the US by Reform Jews (the most liberal US branch). There's usually a religious ceremony of approx 2+ hours on a Saturday morning at a temple, followed by a reception or party. If you don't have a suit, you can probably get away with a coat and tie at a Reform temple. Conservative and Orthodox temples (the other US branches) may be a little more strict about attire; I don't really know. It there's a reception there's probably little or no music. If there's a party there will probably be music but some of it will be chosen for older relatives and guests. Usually mainstream pop or dance music. No psy, no goa, no EDM. If you know the family, you'll probably have a good time. If not, you may get a little bored. Hope this helps.

I don't think the previews are really long enough to give us a good sense of the album. I'd certainly love to hear something as good as Strange Attractors.

Short album preview tracks are now available at SoundCloud: http://soundcloud.com/freqiboga

Here's a somewhat related question. A lot of classic goa / psy trance was composed before the Internet really exploded. Suppose the Internet had been more developed and widespread in the mid- to late-90's. How do you think goa / psy trance might have developed differently?

My wife is a psychotherapist. Like any form of treatment it works well for some people, but not so much for others. It depends on your issues, your personality, your circumstances, your willingness to "work the process", etc. There's no standard length for period of treatment, but you should probably allow at least 3-4 sessions to decide whether or not to continue any further. Most psychotherapists are not medical doctors but have received formal training. They can also make medical referrals if appropriate. Hope this helps.

Schallusion - Morphologic Tales (Free Album)
BraneFreeze replied to Till Eulenspiegel's topic in Free Music Promotion
Very nice. Thanks for sharing. A few tracks seemed a little long for the underlying melody, content, etc, but overall a very enjoyable album. Hope we hear more from Schallusion in the future. -
Rather than try to bundle everything into one website, you might also think about a primary, central website linked to various secondary, specialized satellite websites (eg, Facebook, your blog, Soundcloud, YouTube, Bandcamp, etc). Here's a link that might be relevant: http://music3point0.blogspot.com/2012/01/center-of-your-online-universe.html

What are you trying to accomplish? General information? Previews of your music? Downloads? Online store? DJ bookings? Etc Also, how do you rate your computer skills? Maybe a Facebook site could provide most of what you want with fairly minimal effort.

"He never wrote me back about it." I sent him an e-mail in early December, but didn't get any response until last week. Apparently, my e-mail provider (Verizon) had put some sort of spam block on e-mails from Japan, and he had to work with Verizon to lift the block. I finally did purchase the re-mastered album this week, and it sounds great. I also suggested that he put his DD music on Bandcamp, but don't know if that will ever happen.

What is the most unique oldschool psytrance track you know?
BraneFreeze replied to ziptnf's topic in General Psytrance
I was not familiar with ECT so I went looking for more material, and found an entire album available for free at Ektoplazm: http://www.ektoplazm...n-the-remasters -
FYI, you can purchase a re-mastered version of this album, with two bonus tracks, in 320 MP3 or WAV formats, directly from Steve Good (DD), who can be contacted at continuum@puffdragon.net. Unfortunately, there are currently no high quality versions available for some of his other great tracks like Shudder, Crunch, or Fluffy Purple Thing.

I'm a big LB fan, but I thought this album was a snooze. Played it once and never again.
-
Best tracks for me: 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6.
-
I think I would appreciate Zyce more if he released less material. I feel like the quality is diminished by the tonnage.
-
I wasn't wild about the album the first time through, but it definitely grew on me after 3-4 listens.

Here's a pretty good ambient album I just discovered: Dan Pound - Medusazoa http://soundcloud.co.../sets/medusazoa

Ibizarre Digital - The Morphogenetics

Yeah I knew the CD was available, but since I only wanted the 4 tracks it was a little more than I wanted to spend. Thanks anyway. -
Ibizarre Digital - The Morphogenetics
BraneFreeze replied to draeke's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
I wish Ibizarre would also issue a digital download for the Psychedelic Sound Of Ibiza compilation (IBZ 013), with 4 tracks by Mushroom Man and Morphogenetix. I've been looking for this one for awhile. -
I recently stumbled across this producer, and ended up acquiring most of his output to date: Initial State EP, Alternate Source EP, and three tracks available on compilations. (You can find about half this material on Ektoplazm.) Based on only a few brief descriptions and samples, I was hoping for a sound somewhat similar to Merkaba, another Australian. In general, I found many of the Reactant tracks somewhat monotonous, with occasional pointless commentary. ("Earth Nerds" on the Alternate Source EP was humorous.) I ended up liking two tracks, "Kinemortophobia" and "Outback Trip", both on compilations and both essentially instrumentals. The other stuff was OK, but no more. Reactant shows promise but he's not there yet.
