  1. Strongest track for me was The Finest Day. I found the others less compelling.
  2. That's good news. At least the project is still alive. Maybe they should consider releasing a mini-album with the tracks that are already done.
  3. Unfortunately, the last time I checked it looked like the label (Dream Vision Media?) had gone out of business. I don't know if we'll ever see a remix album.
  4. Nice find. Good album. It's hard to keep up with all the new music being released these days.
  5. Nice find. This is a good album.
  6. Not a review, just a suggestion. I recently stumbled across Soli-Ohm (AKA Maxim Zadorin from Russia). His style is a blend of new school/old school psy/goa. Soli-Ohm put out two free releases in 2010, Epistemology (an album) and Flashing Mindwarp (a 2 track EP). The free releases can be found at the links below. Epistemology (11/2010) - Free album download from the Audiocast Productions netlabel http://www.audiocast-productions.co.uk/releases/audcst041-soliohm-epistemology Flashing Mindwarp (8/2010) - Free EP download from the Psyderweb Records netlabel http://psyderweb.uco...ep_2010/6-1-0-5 If you enjoy this style, you might consider giving him a listen. I think he shows a lot of talent.

  8. Anything else in the pipeline for Dubmission next year? Any new music from Pitch Black?
  9. Nice job. Good melodies and layering, but rhythms get a little monotonous at times. Overall, a strong effort.
  10. I've noticed recently that Walter Bishop seems to turn up on every other new release. Please, let's remember that Walter is old, fragile, and easily confused. How about giving him a well-deserved vacation. That is all.
  11. I just stumbled across this group (duo?) on Bandcamp. http://www.dreamphonic.com/ They seem to be mostly ambient and "space music". Sounds pretty good. They're offering a lot of music for "name your price" terms. FWIW
  12. I liked the Kiva track from the new EP. Wish they'd give us an expected release date.
  13. Great stuff Stephane. Keep it coming.
  14. Is ambient music more vulnerable to MP3 compression than other genres? Some of my ambient albums in 256/320 MP3 have mild background hiss and some breakup on the higher notes. I don't notice this problem with other types of music (such as psy trance or classical or acoustic), with similar MP3 bit rates, using the same playback settings and speakers. Is it just me, or is this really a potential issue?
  15. A few months back, I read that there was supposed to be a new remix album called DMT Cowboys (Re-crystalized), but no further info since then.
  16. There's a lot to like in this release and Crossing Mind clearly has talent. However, the kicks get pretty monotonous at times and my attention starts to wander after a couple of tracks. Maybe that's because this is more of a compilation than a unified, organic album. 8/10
  17. There's also another pretty good older Aya track available at the Twisted Sessions site, "Serenity (Psy Dub Remix)"
  18. Hope you get a good response. I really enjoyed the originals.
  19. From Psygone's MySpace blog (July 18): "Organique and Optimystique is now online in its full lenght via SounCLoud Many of You have requested it for sale again, but because the master rights belongs to the label - this is the best we can offer You a.t.m. - hope everyone is happy Take care and NJOY Thanks" http://www.myspace.com/psygone08/blog
  20. If you like Artha and Hallucinogen you might consider Double Dragon - Continuum (which is probably a little more psy than goa). Steve Good (DD) has recently released a remastered and expanded version of the original album. http://www.psynews.o...ent-soundcloud/
  21. Does anyone have any info about this remix album? Is it out yet?
  22. FYI, Psygone's unreleased album Organique (1999?) can now be heard at SoundCloud http://soundcloud.co...ygone-organique
  23. This is great! How about some of the other early tracks too, like Shudder, Crunch, Fluffy Purple Thing, Tin Drum, etc
  24. The "cheesy melody" in Human Loop sounds to be substantially based on the Hendrix song Third Stone From The Sun. The best songs here are Missing Link, AI Hybrids, and Computerized. DMT Cowboys is a much, much better album than this one.
