  1. :o Thats excacly what I think about saitoneZ Dude, did we just have a intergalactic moment here or something Jedi like? OFFTOPIC. .... FACT - not all drugs are bad for you. FACT - not all drugs are bad for the environment, many of them are actually very important parts of it FACT - 'drug use' has been practiced, and ritualized for thousands of years, all over the globe. FACT - not all drugs are habit forming.. in actuality .. most that are, are synthetically created or modified. Ever read Terrance McKenna's book - Food For God's? Amazing piece of litterature. PavelBavel, you love Bill Hicks, right? (you know me, I know you, don't get mad at me for this one.) Bill Hick's quotes: - Not all drugs are good. Some … are great! - Your denial is beneath you, and thanks to the use of hallucinogenic drugs, I see through you. - The rock stars today who don't do drugs and who in fact speak out against drugs – "We're rock against drugs!" – boy, they suck. - You see, I think drugs have done some good things for us. I really do. And if you don't believe drugs have done good things for us, do me a favor. Go home tonight. Take all your albums, all your tapes and all your CDs and burn them. 'Cause you know what, the musicians that made all that great music that's enhanced your lives throughout the years … rrreal fucking high on drugs. The Beatles were so fucking high they let Ringo sing a few tunes . Actually, I'm against drugs being legalized, and this is why. Last weekend, my friend and I went into a farm, took some mushrooms, and we sat on a field. I looked up into the sky and saw God. He told me that there is nothing to fear, that he loves every single creature on this planet, and he showered gifts of forgiveness and love onto the Earth, and I realized that there was nothing to fear, and I loved everything … Now, if that isn't a bad thing for this country, I don't know what is. How can we continue to make weapons if we love everything? - No, I don't do drugs anymore, either. But I'll tell you something about drugs. I used to do drugs, but I'll tell you something honestly about drugs, honestly, and I know it's not a very popular idea, you don't hear it very often anymore, but it is the truth: I had a great time doing drugs. Sorry. Never murdered anyone, never robbed anyone, never raped anyone, never beat anyone, never lost a job, a car, a house, a wife or kids, laughed my ass off, and went about my day - Here is my final point. About drugs, about alcohol, about pornography and smoking and everything else. What business is it of yours what I do, read, buy, see, say, think, who I fuck, what I take into my body – as long as I do not harm another human being on this planet?
  2. zErafh, i am sory, ze bran iz burnt after so many years of drug experiences
  3. at least I managed to do what I set out to do. Pavel (and others jumping on me for saying that you can not truly appriciate psytrance without an experience) , what you quoted me on was kind of over-expressed by me (I thought I made that clear, but guess not..). No way I see those words as a ultimate truth. relax. But I do think, believe, know and presume that while on a psychedelic drug (which you have never tried) both you and the music change. I know it sounds weird, but the music takes on a totally different form and meaning while on a psychoactive substance. It's fucking hard to explain to people who don't know what your talking about, but you have to trust me when I say that if you take your favourite goa track, you'll be foking suprised of how much more inside the track you'll be able to hear and experience. Thats the magic of psychedelic trance music and psychedelic substances combined. As Charlie said above, they go hand in hand. It's a part of the magic Hey man, it's not that easy, don't try to make a fool out of me. can I ask a couple of questions? 1. Have you ever tried shrooms or acid? You must have since your a fan of this music AND you live in Sweden 2. Who makes cheesy full-on and comes from Sweden?? Hey Rino You absolutely right on many of your points. Well, if Goa was a pure have fun and dance thing or not is hard to answer, because I really don't know, I wasn't around. But I don't think it's that easy, it represented something bigger. But this isn't my street and I don't want to go there. Either way, for me it isn't "just" dance music. Full-on is "just" dancemusic, but not this music. I mean, hell, most of the psychedelic trance albums I love to listen to isn't really clubber friendly anyway. Goa shouldn't be clubberfriendly. For me the taking it into clubs ruined a lot, but thats a thing no one could have stopped, it's a part of it's evolution no matter how retarded that evolution is (ehrm, sereph ). I hope you read my posts in page two Rino. But for the quote above. Let me just say one thing, and as much, it's hard to understand without having been there. Acid IS NOT as easy to take as E's. You can not compare chemical reincreational drugs with headgears like that. It's like comparing the moon with the sun. You can do it, but it's not the same by far. ACID IS NOT A PARTY DRUG!!! pr say. Acid isn't even a drug, it's a tool that is being missued by many. A lot of respect to the psychedelic substance. often, yes .... I disagree to an extent. .... I usaly never party on drugs at a party (alcho-drug anyone?), especially psychedelic drugs. For me psychedelics is for the nature and home in safe and good inviroments. benf52. I'm sorry for these garsh words, but I dont think you know what the fuck your talking about. nada. it makes more sense :clapping: . I remember the first time I listened to Goa on psy (I didn't like Goa-trance at all, didn't get it and it's purpuse) (it was actually a crappy Guitars On Mushrooms Vol. ? album). It amazed me how different and more sensible the music became.. it was weird experience to see it shift form into something totally different. PS/EDIT/OBS! ::: Sereph, good words.
  4. Not.my.point.at.all. Ok, what about this then (get ready to get fired up): People who do not or have taken psycedelic drugs/plants in their life can not understand the essence of psychedelic trance music. A huge reason for the down era of psy-trance is fuckers that comes in to MY scene and don't even know what psychedelic is. They come in with chemical drugs such as amphethamins and exctasy. They get high on it and think that the hallucinogenic visions and feelings they concieve ARE psychedelic. Little do they know the huge different from a E trip to a Acid trip and the seriousness involved in the difference. It's the kidds from Israel (world) that jumps on the trend hype of psychedelic, and they wish to take part of this hype by releasing their own killer tracks inspired by amph and E's. Wrong drugs and wrong mind settings screws this .. sorry MY scene over like a badly raped horse. It's ugly and I would like to tell them all to piss off and leave the brand PSY alone. because you know what. YOu are fucking it up with your mediocre opinions and rapid response to something that you find offencive. On a personal note I flunked school and never came back Chill rino, you missunderstood me. I'm not saying that you have to have Phd to listen to this music (altough it could rais the standard over time lol). I'm just saying that it's your attitude, understanding and keeping a open mind about it that counts. .. you cunt The essence in my point was that Goa used to be a style that adults respected and listened to, Goa was a music style hidden from the majority of the masses. It was serious music style with a ,,serious" message. Candyravers with their full-on (see the track list of the album in question) dunk dunk msuic has no deeper meaning except one. PARTY! *utch utch utch*. I'm sorry, and I'm openminded, but come on, when was psy and goa degraded to become a party genre without deeper sense? And as for the complexity... Maybe not Phd, but it takes some witt to create a masterful piece of music that belongs in psychedelic land.. trancy or fxy. As long as it's psychedelic. But then again, whats psychedelic? ..beh!
  5. the problem is that "psy" has become a cool und hipp trademark. period. In the 90's Goa was a trance style liked by ,,older" and more intellectual people while the ,,kiddies" enjoyed other dance/trance music. (sorry for the generalizing, but I hope you reader understand what I'm saying) but whats the issue here? As I see it, the worse it get's (things has taken many positive spins over the last years), the better it get's as well. ying-yang.
  6. Life starts at death (the end is the beginning - it is where the true will seperate it self from the fake). psy-trance, as all music genres are evolving and changing all the time. Psytrance's evolution has just been on a snail speed until lately. The more "dead" it becomes, the more "alive" projects we will see. There is a reason for releases such as SunTrip Rec., Darango, psykovsky's debut album. It's a natural balance. This can be seen in all music scenes. I'm very happy about one thing.. It seems Full-on is dying, or at least detatching it self more and more from the psy scene creating it's own home. It's all good, everything is normal, you just have to live through the phazes and take it with a smile. But I guess I'm just stateing the obvious here.
  7. It's wellcrafted album, I should listen to it more often http://www.discogs.com/release/342410 And the album cover/material is something special that Elf Music must be proud of
  8. Metalman & Megatron out on new psychotic micro adventures! psytones is da bomb! sometimes I feel like the nick gives me the power of a thirteen year old E-tard
  9. Skazillamynizzlè? (But thanks, I appriciate the feedback, a lot)
  10. hey, I bought ,,your" last album and compilation .. neptuns garden & PHI. I really like the music (quality on all levels), only thing that worries me is that I rarly listen to them. Don't know what it is except that the kick un base doesnt go well with my cheap subwoofer. My sub isn't fan of full-on beats at all ... Guess the albums will grow on me with time. evrything comes whens ready ja. I'm listening to a Osom track :D soooo good and fun.
  11. I think Simon is to be one of the most respected people in the world. First of all he created two major original and innovating psychoactive albums with his project Hallucinogen. Maybe these two albums (include IM's two albums) made a terrible impact on the ,,psyscene" in the late 90's like Astrix/GMS did with their full-on sound. But in heavens name, thats not their foult. why blame Simon or Astrix when you can blame youself. Even before I got in to the psychedelic trance dance music world, the only name I had heard of from other poeple in other ,,respected" music circles was Simon Posford/Hallucinogen. Not many psytrance names in the old (and new) days where known throughout the music industry for his talent like Simon (Maybe Simon was commercial in this sense. Like a old friend of mine who Dj'd trip/hip-hop disliked but respect much psy/goa-trance, but there was two LP's he had that was psy, and that was Hallucinogen - Twisted and Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?. If these small facts of aknowledgemenr\ts means that Simon is commers, then let be). Maybe few people from other scenes liked his music (people not fond of trance 4/4), but they at least respected him and his reputation for being someone who could take your mind far. His style is advance and forever changing without being ,,stuck" anywhere. Sounds turn in to other sounds, melodies takes you through dimensions and samples makes you giggle and mope with excitment. He is just that fan-tastic!. Not only did he bring us two very important gifts wrapped in fairytale Goa trance music, he also was man enough to create multible projects representing different feelings from within, something real and genuine. He has never taken the easy way out or sold out as many claims he has done (someone dares to judge him at that?? haha). He has always stayed true to the roots of psychadelic emotions and ,,worlds". And for me, that is VERY important to keep the psy alive. To understand this, you have to understand that, to understand that you have to.. Well, you shall understand this when you simply ,,understand". In every interview I've seen of him from (not many, 3?) he always seem to be the most beautiful person from the inside out. He's modest, shy, intelligent, smiling from the heart :), a true smile of understanding, he knows, so he smiles.. ..and most important, he's a humanbeing just like me and you! And he never tries to hide these facts that build who he is! His beautiful inner emotions comes crystal clear up to the surfaze through his devine music. Some people are personal messangers from ,,it", and Simon Postford (cusin of Postman Pat?) delivers good, real good! All fanbloodytastic to the side and on a more personal note. His latest Hallucinogen tracks from compilations such as US, GT, GSTM are in my book not so good. In a pure psychedelic sense they are Godlike, but in my feelings and emotion, they are more like PURE tripper tools then an emotion ride through wonderful colours and emotions. Just listen to his track on GSTM, it's a materpiece, but where are the deep emotions? No, this is to clinic psy for me. But I appriciate, and I like, I just dont love. All of these tracks like Bubble'n'Tweak are making me fear that the new Hallucinogen album will be very clinically clean, pure acid, no human emotion, just a ride through technology. Thats cool I guess, because I know that my subjective feeling is not law. But my objective is pretty close No, no matter what you think and feel about Sickmon Prickhead, he is still one of the most down to earth people I know about (not in person, no) and that for me is a huge part of being here in the psychedelic world. If Simon was here right beside me now, I would give him the biggest warmest hug and tell him thank you!, thank you for being who you are and reflecting some light through your energy to us, the listeners. IM mix of GammaGoblins http://youtube.com/watch?v=loSR7MJvjpU Twisted Rec didnt like that one so its unreleased Now, Mr. Posford (or anyone who knows him), I would like to ask you a HUGE favour. Can you pleeaaase get in touch with Psykovsky and ask him to remix your bright light track Shamanix? I'm so glad there are plenty of psychedelic music producers out there with the same gift as Simon. Simon is not alone, he and many others are God's personal messengers. Simon :posford:

I think maybe I went outside the tech-box?
  18. quote of the year: not psy, but fucking psychedelic. acid-techno is not psy-techno? acid is not psychdelic, psychedelic is not acid? I love Orbital and FSOL, their so acid! Acid-trance/techno is for europe (england!), psy-trance is for Israelies??? no, I better sleep.
  19. What!? No stories about Goa Gill, OOOD, Ott?? Gnome, you met Fungus Funk, so cool. It's nice to know that he's a light hearted funny guy. If someone sees Psykovsky around, send my greeting. Tell him Psytonesky sais hello people are people - some are God's messenger like in what they bring to us as a gift. I missed meeting Simon Posford at a afterparty at a friends place once .. I properly wouldn't have chatted much with him anyway, but it would be kool to be in God's presens
  20. I don't own any x-dream albums except their latest "Best Of..." collection and Electromagnetic isn't on it I don't know many x-dreams tracks by heart and I know, what a shame!!
