  1. As the title asks. What file-format is the best one in your opinion to download your bought music, and store it in? Wav. FLAC, AAC, ogg-vorbis, AIFF, ALAC, AAC, mp3 320, mp3 V0? ... and there is more formats to choose from on discogs.com And why do you always DL your music and save it for safe-keeping in "that" format? I'm n00by of me, so I've always ripped, and DL-ed bought music on i.e. Bandcamp in WAV, or from Ektoplazm, always choose wav.. .. is that stupid of me, should I start to DL bought music and save it to my safe-keeping External HD in another file-format then WAV.? 2 Terrabite HD etc. is not so expensive anymore.. though sure, a strong good Ex. HD will safe-keep your music longer without a silly crash.. Double backup! + CDr's (dj-gigs and home enjoyment). Same with ripping original CD's, is it not so space-smart and most important, sound-quality-smart, to rip CD's in WAV. instead of another new and better file-format? I don't wanna be stuck on preferring WAV. --- but it's a safe choice for me when I don't know much better. I don't have MAC/Apple, I use PC..

  4. If you take classic and more or less normal uplifting trance themes, and give it a twist of psychedelic attribute .. You could easily get this kind of safe trance dance style. It's lovely when it's good, and has interesting quality parts and detail in it that makes it worth the aural time as long as you can stomach it (some people have serious cheese allergies and should best avoid). It's not exactly Full-on, or Prog., and not Goa per say. I think the whole blatant Trance influence in this EP must be pretty perfect for "normal" trance lovers to be safely guided and pleasantly surprised into the realm of the complexity and variation of psychedelic trance music Listen to the Recursion Loop - Soul of the Machine (Gert Sound Records - GSR073) EP for free: 1. Soul of the Machine - starts with some star orchestra like bubble synths from a ,,70-s" blade runner show with simple but awesomely felt laser sonic flaring up the soft clear air that with glitter introduces the beats, which gather up the main floating melodic score into newer digital times with an immediate certain sense and love for uplifting trance and progressive dance music. Smart moves are present and heartfelt throughout, and a shifting somewhat interesting ride is guided by the euphoric, one might say innocent and genuine trance passion. The track has altitude to be gliding and surely to represent pleasantly robotized trance-dance-music. The track behavior feels sort of organic in it's motion, and soft in it's blips and has sometimes good hints of intensiveness in the main synthesizer waves. Steel-wire sounds flex metallic, and reflect quit cool attitude with a metal guitar that rises the track up to tribal drums where it with synths plateaus itself for a short while, only to rise further and vaguely higher before hitting the unexpected break that leads the track back to its reminded emotional start. Pushing it a bit more softly intense this time around before it ends. Beautiful melodic work and it has nice love and respect towards psychedelic goa-trance. 2. Morning Wake Up Vs. MTR - is hard to do, A thumping "what to do now" section comes in after the morning glory from where it flows so nice you can listen to it's arrangements twice without feeling bored or fooled. It is what it is. Nice, safe. soft and kinda stellar, kinda complex and mostly innocent, and for sure boarder-line cheesy while being soulfully honest about it, but not overly exciting. Great play of the synths, and melodic uplifting progression is what this music is much about which seems like a homage to old love and emotion. Clever moves continues in the dance-trance, making an attentive dance-floor smile in sturdy and comforting light-speed. Listening to trance music, knowing its psychedelically inspired. Not to be confused with Blue Planet Corporation who does the same same but different - taking normal trance in this case uplifting, and giving it a respectful (in this case imo mild) pinch of psychedelia. And for the love of Goa, don't miss the shooting star in this track - - wait for it.. its very nice actually, though without a doubt it develops on the cheesier side of the scale. So the track is nostalgic and mesmerizing. Almost tear inducing at times when it peaks showing a daring beauty to dive itself in the fluffy cheddar.. 3. Andromeda Nebula - continues the lovely and stylish, having a faster beat that feels a bit more edgy in its run. Mild psychedelia, euphoria.. and safe travels all the way, depending on state of taste of course - not really being offending in any direction as its very nicely balanced and restrain from becoming too cheesy (well), or too weird (true). Unless you choose to take offence of it's style. then its your problem, not the music's. It's like normal trance, but its not. But it is - but it's not.. Overall: The first track is the nicest one, and the second one is the least thrilling, and the third goes a bit more fast and daring then the rest but do crash into the cheese holes for sure. All of the tracks are very nice and gives smile and does include a clear psychedelic reference while providing the ability to air your arms and heart for atmospheric breathing space. This is the type of innocent and stylish psytrance that I can only respect but don't turn on much myself as I'm not from the Trance or rave scene before I found Psy, so for me personally it falls a bit off while being genuine to its creator so I respect that a lot.. The wrapping of this "Soul of the Machine" seems to me to be very classic and familiar with the synth waves and melodies inside. The EP has impressive enough and for sure fitting uplifting moments with an authentic notion not afraid of the musical trance slide. As far as I can gather this is the artists second EP release, and I have not heard his first. The music on this one is by other comparisons mainly non-threatening, maybe a tad boring and quit pleasantly entrancing on a smiling dance-floor not so hard-core. "Normal" trance lovers who happen to check out a pinch of lucid on a perfect day in the sun, or at night lit by the romantic moonlight should have a great time with this as it's joyous, and sweet with them important details that elevates it to good seriousness. 5. The guitar-shaped country Norway is well known for Black Metal music while GOA really never made the bright-light heights except for the one and only mature Ra, who stands as the sole Norwegian Goatrance legend with full-length albums and projects under their belt. And after years of seemingly silence on the Sun-trip side of the Psy-side in Nor-way, came a grown and quality oozing producer named Maan, aka. Frode Ungar. This GIF btw is what I think about his Goa-trance offering on Ovnimoon Records: https://giphy.com/gifs/maan-4EGwKBPN4G7fO/fullscreen (hope the gif. works, not sure how to embed it, someone? It reflects the 3 tracks well, so click to have a look). Else, read my words: Maan - Orbiter (Ovnimoon Records) EP (ovniep261) 1. Earthstomp - is a real treat to all Goatrance stompers out there! The intro is inducing and mystical with beautiful braiding of chants. The beats pulse in that respectful oldschool manner and has all the complexity, layers and swirls expected from a thrill-full ride without the rush to reach somewhere. Effects are amazing and I feel safe to take a trip with it's mellow yet stellar phased construction. The part from :03:30 really gives a feeling of Amen. The hymns are calm and soothing leading to flutes having a cup of Shiva's tea - a very tasty and rattling sip. And then at 05:13 the euphoria dance trance hits home! Om Namah Shivaya. Natural trance dance production in a sweet and electrifying psychedelic wrapping. Intelligent and kind. Sticks and stones might break our bones .... 2. Orbiter - has a smiled playful soul making a cry, the classical hypnotized Astral's are floating gently and the beat is slowed down to thump a bit heavier on the ground while being picked up by smaller vital angelic parts of this psychedelic Goa-trance track - which also includes a tip of the hat to Juno Reactors "sharp acid-skating lines".. Very cool, also drowsy ---- it continues by picking you up from the heavier state of shroomed transformation introducing pounding beats becomes sturdier, and the awkwardness sets in whiles beauty gives wings to span a pun. The sharp junction reaction comes back, and the air thickens and becomes alive and still. Detailed in its very tiniest of molecules. The sonic sublime is in the air The attentive care. 3. Disconnect Me - opens a door into yet more quality Goatrance made in Norway, which is a rare item to discover. Not for the overly hyperactive though, but for sure this really does fly high and for some, by.. My review could include an essay on the problems and solutions with the heat of a scene (any scene is usually a drama scene, even ours). Things orbit, they evolve and reform, it's good, it becomes problematic, and so it goes...Evolution and growth, collapse and rise. From a positive and lucid EP, the most negative loaded track is this final one. Some red-rant; "A psychedelic hell in my opinion is where non takes psychedelia because of fear, but loves to ingest ego bloated substances, and in their greed and cunning attitude of "wanna be cool - like to see other people fail", they go around messing with the beings that truly are in the psychedelic realm which humbles one. Too much of these egocentrics taking over is a real blow (pun intended) on any psychedelic scene", ~ I.M.H.O. 1<3 to understand the essence of P.L.U.R. (psytones) Man oh maan back on topic + a bit more personal localized rant, this is a great release at least for me and my sentiment and taste. First of all, genuine Goa-trance from the Norwegian woods sort of speak, does not occur often - less then rarely actually. Psy-trance in general does not occur that often here either, though the last few evolving years has generated some wildly spread fruits, some with, and some without the ace spunk. Anyway: I can with a first hand experience say that Maan's LIVE performance is absolutely super to hear and experience. Highly Recommended for those considering to book him. This release is a respectful and en-joyful intricate Goatrance EP all the way from the west/south-coast of Norway. Rating:: 4,7 / 5 (might be a tad biased but it's a strong 4 close to a 5'er) Fav. track, 1 Get it here: https://ovnimoonrecords.bandcamp.com/album/maan-orbiter-ovniep261-ovnimoon-records ... and many other places. 8. Personally I am not so overly known with these groups and acts so I have nothing more to add I think, but for this shamanic music which is powerful and real, and tribal at it's core. I agree and like a lot. *she's very impressive*. When it comes to the tribal (where Elysium is a strong old beacon) I'm often of my taste pallet on the more mysterious stylish and serious side of the trance gems.. Like this (skip the first 6 minutes, the intro track is a jokester). And of course this oldie organic noisy shamanic aya-mesca-expo album, that I think is real neat *please sell me your copy*: (love me some shamanic rapping..) But yes, both these albums are very much stripped of the actual real that you where posting about, that saved your faith in (natural) Psytrance (never loose it, never lost it). If you haven't heard them.. You should, if not only for the beats. Tribal beats, tribal patterns. I remember reviewing this, it also had some natural psytrance to it, though wrapped heavy in Full-on: (the labels first releases in general) https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/54975-la-mila-search-your-dream-naturall-productions/ Oh! I just remembered one album that is also respecting some natural psytrance, but auch still full-on, but not that bad: OH SHIIIT, may I continue the non-on-point sense? This one is Nice&Fun, kinda spoofing.. ;D *High* e. Back to the seriousness, the natural psytrance (having loads of real instruments played in the album), this is a album not to be forgotten imho:
  9. Hey, actually in Norway we had a DJ from Iran that LOVES psytrance, mainly full-on prog but still a huge PLUR fan of the Psytrance music realm ad philosophy. He DJed some in Oslo with and for us, and then because of whatever not sure problem, they moved back to Iran. He is still doing some DJing but mostly for sure at home and as far as I can gather, he is not encourage to pursue his psytrance dj-dream, but it is cool that he is such a lover of psytrance and is from Iran, and yes also Israeli psytrance he loves. He is very much about PLUR in its totality. 1Love and all that makes sense hippie shanti fluff. Read the info: You can find more from this hobby and psytrance fan DJ. P.L.U.U.R.
  10. Well that's fantastic, the Single has been reviewed and officially released, it's -for now- a 3 track Single that has been helpfully mastered by Colin OOOD at The Stooodio. The Single will soonish get added a few remixes to it, and will then evolve into a Maxi-Single (must be the right term, right?) * Yes real CDr in jewel CD-single case , as well as the digital formats available. Whats a Record company, no matter how Indie, without physical release, eh? So yes, you can get the KER releases in both digital, and CD (CDR). https://kaliearth.bandcamp.com/album/love-magic-master-xxpsy-systems If there was no physical release, it would for us be weird to call our label a Record company. Instead of Music or smth.. KER MUSIC These are quotes from people about the L&M 100s track, but it's not complete yet. But all quotes are approved! Quotes from people who heard and gave feedback on the L&M 100s (Love & Magic) track Actually it is a really good track, driving and very good progression towards goa, great to start a set The groove reminds me on X-Dream etc. ~ DJ Anoebis of Suntrip Records Lots of nice details and the track certainly works fine with a crowd. It is a style that I can listen to and enjoy, but the lack of main riffs /melodies makes it clear that it's a track made for adding something live on top. As it is, the track enters one ear and exits the other so to speak. There is little to remember or latch on to. I can for instance not hum a specific melody after I'm done listening to it. All though there is something from 8 minutes onwards that is very melodic and that has the potential to great if developed... From a producers standpoint, the track has a sound that works great as a groove / foundation. A foundation that I could have used to build a good track. ~ Ra (producer) I really thought this was a separate genre (Material Music). Hypnotrance, Dreamtrance? Really atmospheric. What in my part characterizes good trance is its ability to enter and become a part of it. Very few releases do it right now. Either I'm too old of age, or I simply do not manage to catch the bulk of new material released these days, but this song managed to do that for me -to enter and become a part of- and thats a nice feat in it self. I'm not a «raver» anymore (probably never really been there either), so the dance floor is not often visited by me but I tested the song on a jog here the other day, and it was superb! It also has the characteristic that it is calming at low volume and energetic at high. Probably a perfect song to sit and program to (yes, i'm bit of a nerd). The ambient background is always included, and acidic sequences are sprayed all the time. The kick bass in the bottom functions as a kind of tribal feature and gives a deep and hypnotic feel. If I have to draw something from it, I can mention that the bass sometimes feels a bit like stepping on a sausage. A little like stepping on something that cracks.. A very dry overdrive maybe? Not easy to describe. Then it's a bit lenghy. Could probably have been 5 min shorter. The items that come in at the 8-minute mark could just as well come after 3-4 minutes, and the gorgeous goa melody line coming in after 12 minutes might have come after 5 minutes, for example. But yes, good stuff! [Before the Radio Edit was made to counter these "too lengthy" comments] ~ Maan (producer) hahaha .. [when told the details of the name and track langht] but dont change the length [he like many first thought the track was too long] hahah if it is too long, people can mix in another beat after a while and play with it great dj tool ~ oZmaLi of Ritual for Modern Gatherings Sounds like early X-Dream / The Delta. So tech-trance I guess. It also reminds me a bit of Cybernetika's album "The Scythe of Orion". [When asked around to ensure it's originality; if the track reminded someone of another artist or track] ~ amoe (Psy-Music.Co.Uk) It's a nice track, the structure and some synths remind me E-Mantra for some reason. Thanks for sharing. [When asked around to ensure it's originality; if the track reminded someone of another artist or track] ~ Manuser (Psynews.org) So this is smuuud, great! Good delicious blend of ambient, progressive and driving psy tight and trance driving .. enjoyed the mix very well .. nice mix of elements ~ MadZen (producer) I like your song! good mix. Nice journey. Classic choice of sounds. Maybe the progression can be more evolving. There is nice dark in it. You could tease the main melody earlier in the song? [Comment on Soundcloud before the Radio Edit was made, that was also a respons to the «too long» comments] ~ Arunarush (producer) oh oh NICE here we gooo fucking YES! this is what i live for. [SoundCloud/Mixcloud] ~ Dj Teoma (full-on dj)
  11. Wøy thanks for attracting attention to this release, I did not know of it and immediately when I saw the name Cybered I knew this should be good, and your review concurs + the track list like Himmelkompass on it looks/sounds good. For me Cybered was the one who modernized The Delta's "Send In" album sound, with his Acid Box album which is highly recommended for the Delta hungry hippos. Getting this now. I might just edit this post later to have it include a review. ( .... )
  12. Fantastic influenced art-work, very cool music. Kudos and congrats with your <1 <2 <3 <4th year::)
  13. One day maybe I will be so lucky to own this original edition *ive thought some times for years*. It looks and reads to represent much what is magical and special with Psychedelic Goatrance (especally the notion of it being Japanese is exotic and weird in its own rights). Even though it's obviously flirting with the occult. Kinda like Dimmu Borgir cover-art... Looking at the images, thinking about it, it feels a bit like being in love, or at least lust - like having an inner craving to satisfy the motion of owning and holding a true gem that forever will be and feel special. To pull it out and stick it in, look at it, feel it, experience it on a truly mystical and magical day&night in your life. From time to time. A gem in the collection much unlike anything else. Representing Psychedelic Goatrance. Unfortunately also the notion of becoming disappointed slips in, is it doubt? I've felt it before, too exited by some old gold (Tea Ching comes to mind:), that I could have prioritized my money differently - that the release is really cool and all but was it actually worth it for me now? A "book" like this https://www.discogs.com/Ubar-Tmar-Ubarpedia/release/3718780 **** And as one can see, it presently comes down to the money. Maybe I'll just keep the notion and save my non existing money for now Actually, i will get some money on Monday guaranteed........ If someone else haven't bought up the mint cheap versions by then (this post really jinxing my luck), I will buy it. Own it, cherish it. Listen to it, experience it one magical day&night. bOm! ~,~ Much room. e. too late I ordered it, wrote the seller I will pay him on monday. £35 sealed, *yey* I'm a fan of this stretcher btw. ,) https://ubartmar.bandcamp.com/album/mugen-kun-ep lol, agree. Like IM's mid-works Music inside has much fluff in it's own way also... Like Japanese emoji~music. Some weirdness does it, some gets a tad off.. Trapped in its time. *youtube listens ... a lot of the music like Ubar Tmar is like taking what music was common when it was made etc, and make it twisted into a psytrance experience rather then "normal" music. Lots of this stuff is just prog.nuts xD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVHJLV1uAM8&index=2&list=PL313EAAC03642698C and here's just to fill up the like-spam, are crazy good nuts music; - https://soundcloud.com/echovskeybs - https://soundcloud.com/lob-zany-n - https://soundcloud.com/conical-brazers
  14. I think the melody of the classic English Happy Birthday (to you) song is a very weird and bad melody to make into a full blown psytrance track, but holy quack, oCeLoT for sure managed to make it (an inappropriate melody) into maybe the Most Powerful PSYTRANCE track ever. Holy .... https://beatspace-dropout.bandcamp.com/track/ocelot-happy-birthday
  15. Is the Cosmosis & Avalon – Destiny Awaits (Cosmosis Mix) track the same one as the 2012 release, or is it even a pinch more awesome this time around? *Bandcamp sounds real good its a real treat listening through so many great Cosmosis outputs. . Looks like a good collection spread out on 4 full albums! Guess this will be a good gem for many Goa-howlers out there to own and listen through:) Eskimo .. Somethings missing..
  16. I'm already way behind on two albums I have to review out of promise. 18. Play with -your own or- other people's shadows in the skull ..... not a big fan. But I know how to protect myself & others Never forget P.L.U.R. & i have a new ,,hate" for people doing hard drugs/pills claiming to be "Psyheads" but dont like or fear Psychedelics. Mess with peoples heads, mess with people that are Really tripping and not just pretending (coke mdma). Evil people. Ive been a victim to a few. Terrible moments, but I pulled through and took a grab on the bastard in the end so he learned. Do not get it. Its so cool? People like this wants only to be cool (accepted and admired) and like to see other people fail, for their own egoistic gain and pathetic "entertainment" . Bad robot, Bad! Hard drug people wanna powder their nose. I have to say, like Psycrowdelica Festival, i dont know what happen there in full but the organizer stabbed his own heart at the last festival, called reincarnation. People push people to do a lot of shit, like school shootings. And the frames around us do it so we act terrible to each other (imo). And people do stupid shit. Why? So fucking sad for the whole psytrance scene. And these so called Horrorpsyfreaks (speedfreaks, more like it) , with their juvenile hard core music, they dont even like psychedelics, they fear it (LoLoLoLoL) Time flies, np.
  19. Pity The Why is a good Q. And less assumptions. There exists asshole people in all branches *he removed me as a friend on facebook, so it isn't that*
  20. I love the idea but 1st of all I'm pretty broke and second of all I already own a few Elysium albums, both originals and some Downloaded legally. And Im not That fanatic about his music to help support such a project (im really broke this time around). This goes for much of Thinning's respectful work. Like and respect it a lot, but dont overly love it. technosomy what do you mean "cant be trusted", that's a horrible thing to read knowing him personally the way I do/did. He is very much a person and artist to be trusted. Kind person. Stubborn in his, and open with his. Sure, some in depth arguments here on psynews (good,, lets discuss and elaborate, ask questions instead of assuming, have your opinion. The web is free for that), and some hatred towards the Israeli scene and politics. Out side those 2 points from my view, Elysium is to be trusted. No doubt. Peace to the world. Tralala-la-la. Its no joke. War.
  21. One of the bestest albums ever imho:
