1. has anyone tripped through Yahel tracks/albums? A picture paints a thousand words, or thoughts (i quite enjoy cheese). Well it can anyway. For me i first got to know him through Tiesto (Magik* compilation was massive in those days, and in my scando country, (euro-)trance was emmence, like this: tiesto - theme from norefjell Yahel took it mainstream eurotrance, posing on the coverart. Being clubby, trance.. eurotrance.. For me israeli mainstream full on (you know the years) was isreals own Eurotrance - and clubbing music, be it eurotrance or israeli fullon (..) attarcks shitloads of chemicals. And not much psychedelica. Ibe always since being infected and going viral on finding their music had a soft thump in my heart for this track.... (bought so many cds.. but not this one., yet) that takeoff/drop - <(") SST FTW! *i wasnt big into trance music then - more marilyn manson, koRn, clawfinger, seigmen , but it was impossible not to encounter the eurotrance, before it just got stigmatized and o where to be found, frown apun.... It is read that Iftach Yakar -the muppet of De Duck- was born in Tel Aviv, Israel. It reads on that he used to live an ordinary life with ordinary stuff. That is, until one day when De Duck emerged onto his head. No one knows where it came from, but this cute-looking rubber duck placed itself on top of Iftach's noggin... Using his grays as a host, it took over Iftachs mind and began producing electronic music. Quickly enough, De Duck became drawn to produce Psytrance like a duck is drawn to a pond. The style within and focus was the more mass appealing Progressive-Psychedelic-Trance genre. Iftachs previous in life spectrum of listening stretched itself from Progressive Rock music, to Glitch, Jazz and to modern Psytrance which in Israel is immense popular in both huge stadiums and on the desert dwellers more private dune of oasis. Apart from the music, De Duck is also a sound scientist of the quacked & fun sort. He specializes in building his own custom midi-hardware and synth modifications. Which is truly fascinating by itself, and it makes his live act very much unique and mesmerizing in its own ducky way! De Duck hosted a weekly show on the Glitch.FM internet radio for a year before paddling on to new ponds of presenting. Over the time since morphing into the phenomenon De Duck, he has played in most major clubs, venues and festivals in Israel and is also one piece of the time starting to conquer the world. Everything from Yamabikaya (Japan) is Love. They wjere real musicians making minimal psytrance. So live, they had a full band. The album "The Arrival" released on Shiva Space Technology is defo on my top 5 list of albums.

Hey thats a really nicenice track you posted Lemmi! And hearing it, Black Sun Empires MASSIVE classic track "Arrakis" should grease your noodle, even though it's heavier and darker. It's still very trancey! Especially the synth <3 -- np. the John B. track. .. The Total Eclipse track from the superb Tsunami VA, is defo more break beat oriented and less D'n'B, imo. But then again, I ain't no expert! .. didn't fancy the John B too much. is ok. np. Yana Kay
