  1. Hi psychedelic mind and body trippers out there in psynews’land. After reading the So why exactly is it that IFO hasn't been re-released? thread, I got real curious about what people think is the most essential albums out there which is at most parts hard or impossible to get, or just damn expensive to buy off second hand (like on Discogs or Ebay). So I'm not talking about essential albums like Hallucinogen - Twisted (easy to buy) or Sandman - Whichcraft (has been re-issued by Avatar). I'm talking about albums like Pleiadians - I.F.O. and Blue Planet Corporation - Blue Planet. Well, my knowledge of which is hardest to find and which goes for the highest price isn't good, so that’s why I ask you in curiousity; 'What’s your list of unmissable psychedelic gems?' e. Oh, and I'm trying to ask for artist albums, not compilations. But if you have to mention a VA then GOAhead. LuBu, if you’re out there, this should be your time to shine! :clapping: Some words: Maybe the album your thinking about suggesting is availible on a re-issue/release? Maybe the album your thinking of is availible on mp3 but not on a hard copy like CD? Maybe the album your thinking ...
  2. I knew it would bring me joy to have patience and love No longer am I in that box :posford: :posford:
  3. Out of curiousity, could you name some examples if it's in your memory? Do you mean stuff like Intact Instinct and Yamabikaya, or .. ? (maybe even releases from TATSU Recordings??) On a hefty dose of lucid old psygressive and minimal psy should have revealed a lot of wow's to you, but of course, taste, vibe, feel and that will deternen that, i guess. I guess with a combined taste of Full-On and Progressive, your chai is the newer sounds like Ace Ventura and Iboga n'stuff? They combine those loves of yours, no? At least thats what I feel about Ace Ventura. Hey, have you heard this one -> Frost-RAVEN - Star Muse? e. oh shaize, I just found another thread about this release. Could you moderate and fuse them Tatsu? http://www.psynews.org/forums/index.php?sh...;hl=frost-raven thanks
  4. Ok, I get that and it seems fun to put your taste and np stuff out there to people to see and connect. But does that mean that you good folks (you, insajn etc) are paying to use last? is scrobbling and networking so important you are willing to pay for it?
  5. Well I'm listening to it closer now with headphones and it's nicer then what I thought yesterday. If you like in da rasta this will please you I think. It's the same but more complex in details. Slightly new turn but still Kukan. But still imho the debut is simpler, not nearly as well produced, but it shines much more in charm and smile. This is mastered by the same who mastered Radiodread (reggae remixes of Radiohead, like Dub Side of the Moon). seems like thats the case. And you'll find the CD on the psyshops. I got the CD. I just added it to discogs since it was missing.
  6. can I just make a comment about the statements that I read from people about; 'when I'm not into the genre, ie. R'n'B it will all sound the same to me' This might sound like bragging or smth not so nice, but I just wanted to state that no matter music genre, quality or what ever, I am perfectly able to hear all variations and sound and feelings. Be it jazz, rap, hip-hop, soul, fink or dunk. I am not able to not hear everything in a track. And I blame psy for this super human power of mine I've always loved sounds and tones since I was little, but when I got introduced to the psychedelic experience and the psytrance sounds around my ear got a massive tune up, I became much more avare of the details in e piece of music. I know I'm writing like a crow now and maybe for some it will be hard to understand or swallow what I mean, but I suspect some of you will understand perfectly what I mean. yo
  7. wow you seem very happy about this ! .. I got to be perfectly honest and say that I'm wowing your posford because I've listen to it once and it .. it .. hm .. It didn't impress me. I got all three albums now and I love the debut Life Is Nice, but these two folow-up's didnt catch me much. I hope they can change my mind but after (onkly) one listen it was a big yawn. But everything can change :posford: I also got this release not many days ago: Phonic Request: Skull and Bones http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/hgr/hgr1cd005.html
  8. Why would I join that when I can't use last.fm to listen to music without paying?
  9. some shrooms or drops will help them to understand the ,,unimportance" of the kick and bass. These elements are only there to drive the track/art forward.
  10. Yes you can still buy it! http://www.discogs.com/sell/list?master_id=33874&ev=mb Maybe I didn't understand your topic idea. I agree that it costs a lot of silly amounts of money to purshes the original. But it's still possible to buy. I would love to get the opertunity to go to ie. psyshop and buy a re-release for 10 bucks from Avatar or who ever would re-release it. I'm not that hooker on having the Dragonfly release, though it would kick some seriouss rhino ass to have that one!! So what is my alternativ exept patience, to buy it for 100 bucks? To download it? (Where can I do that??) Or maybe find a kind person alive or on a forum like this that is fortunate enough to have it and be kind enough to rip it for me. So I read below you it is availible on iTunes .. But he complains about the quality. And Beatport has it on good quality. Even though, I'm not there yet. buying mp3's i mean. I like to buy solid products like a CD or LP. Not a file. But one day I will have to follow the flow and become a buyer of air. .
  11. Patience and love? I'm one of those unfortunate souls that have never heard it, and know I will love it. So since I don't know it, patience is all I can do. Or if money rains one day, I can Ebay it
  12. Apparently Mr. Rogers is doing some big things within the Psy and Breaks scene located on the West Coast of the USofA. His funky psychedelic break-beat sets have gained the attention of fellow artists and producers across, and have earned him respect of being an artist that likes to push the boundaries and not swallow fear in making something sound strange and extraterrestrial with funky sunglasses. Mr. Rogers - Ooze System (BasSTAR Records, Geomagnetic.TV) 2007 (BASSCD001, GOCD030) 01. Gangsta' Goose 02. Mr. Lemurian 03. Space Vagina 04. The DMT Factor 05. Sparkplug (Mc - Agustus Thelefant) 06. Spookey Kabluey 07. Bahroo! (Vocals - Doramey Fossilotti , Jacinda) 08. A Boy And His Blob 09. Tameron's Cube 10. Life The album starts out (T1) with quirky and funny builds that takes the sound into a space based dub juice. And as the second track (T2) bubbles away it gets deeper in aggression and motion, more mystiques to the atmosphere like being down in a cellar with strange pipes. The shpongly vibe is present with that nice TIP alien approach. UFO’s n’stuff you know, in metallic scenery. The third track (T3) is somewhat a resolution in the phrase; ‘strange stuff floats better’. It’s like taking a trip in a spaceship, a Space Vagina that has the power to reborn you into a new dimension full of possibilities. After the trip in a moist and pleasent vagina, (T4) goofy stuff spins the mind, and plays a longer sample about the DMT experience according to Joe Rogan, better known from the Fear Factor USA television show, and sugarcoats itself in a strange take on DJ Jeans Euro-dance hit, The Launch. The fifth track (T5) introduces a fusion between hip-hop rapping and Space-Breaks. Now it’s time for TripHop goes into TripSpace with rhymes (MC) and a rough Flat-Erik bassline. This is some seriously groovy stuff if you’re into Ninja Tunes and its experimentations – Maybe a bit of a nag, but still good. Spookey Kabluey (T6) turns the mood to a more serious stage than before and let’s star glitter with funk-guitars playing in the close background. And after this display a man with a hat (T7) steps inside with some 50’s feel that break-beats the jazz. Not as impressive as the other tracks around, but ends good though with voices in space. The Boy and his Blob (T8) is unsettling the beat flow to wobble the sound and pling the plong - Pretty strange and sort of good. As the album spins you get a craving for more but a feeling of enough sneaks up and scrape things up (T9) booms the bass. Tromps the walk. Funky is back with samples of cocksucking dreams, which is very strange. It’s All Gone Pete Tong? After a long journey through funk and dunk, Mr. Rogers serves us a very nice ending to an album of strange play of sounds and Ooze. (T10) Bump bump hump with soul music now. Lounge dub. .. Some eerie mocking voices softly breaks up the track to introduce more uplifting and cute melodies that seem to be a good ending to a varieties and imaginative album. Chilled funk dub to end it all. Recommendation: Mr. Rogers quirky fun’funky attribution to the Ooze was released on BasSTAR Records who sprung out of the Geomagnetic Records label group in the summer of 2007. They are focusing primarily on breaks, dub-step, electro house and down-tempo grooves from the other side. From them you should expect lots of wild unpredictable new cuts. Mr. Rogers came to many as an interesting and fun surprise where he takes inspiration from the trip and his brothers from Finland and New Zealand. If you’re a fan of the more tripped based sounds of a strange psychedelic experience with a lot of funk, break-beats and intergalactic sound patterns without trance, this one will please your grease. It might not reek the quality of the releases from labels such as PSY-Harmonics and Demon Tea Records, but it does deserve just as much attention for its heart and soul. It has a fine balance between strange and straight where it at one moment is swimming in star sprinkles only to be swept inside a distorted mind-tricksters beach of headspace. … Unfortunately though, this release comes pale against other releases in the same spirit. The album seems to lack something in its overall quality and can get boring and sort of uninspiring as the tracks roll through your player. I’m not saying it sucks ostrich balls, but I am saying it has a lot of room for improvements and sonic experimentations. I think if you’re a person on the lookout for music that can add something out of the ordinary to your tripped experience without being boxed into trance, chill-out or dub. You should defiantly take a shot at Ooze System. I’m very happy to have it in my collection and can’t wait to see its presents from another angel of space and face. Mr Rogers take on the Psychedelic breaks’n’hop is most of all fun and quirky in the range of 110 to 115 BPM. And Inside it can have an aggressive attitude as it reveals a body full of movement and variation. Most of all, this is funny Psy-Breaks with some mushroom funk from the West Cost. Yo! Favorite Tracks: 1(!!), 2(!!), 3(!), 4, 5(!), 6, 10(!). 13. So this is fucked up, now I got a message from last.fm that I have to pay money to continue to liksten to their radio. AFAIK you won't find any psy on Spotify. Maybe their concept is interesting, so good luck and maybe in the future EDM will become bigger in it's liberary. www.di.fm is getting bigger and better, imo
  14. This thread has two pages and will continue to grow with posts on the Offtopic-side in Ormions confused fustration ?
  15. ? .. .. .. :clapping: come on man, whats with the fed-up attitude? I know replying might burn me but I'm in that pool of mud you call reviews getting music from Isra, and I think it's kinda shpaa.. I guess I could defend and break and elaborate, but I'm to stoned * either way, psyreviews is good with words and loads of respect to his opinions and style!! check out some reviews of mine on Isratrance.com and http://www.myspace.com/psytonesmusic
  16. Hallucinogen. The Gathering is a copy with IM twist of his music. They have openly spoken about this, it's not a shame and nada to hide. It's Ok, and more then super Ok when you hear the result, imo! And there aint nothing wrong about being inspired and doing something in the same spirit or vibe or whatever. WHat matters is how it's done and what it projects. IM for the diploma fo'sho reispecto

  18. bwhale, did you discover something you doped? RReply some names you found to be what you seeked. I got one recommendation, drone. If you don't know what drone music is, and you got iTunes, then go to the Radio and then on the Ambient folder and then click the Drone Zone on ZomaFM. I can asure you it will go perfect with your medication. As a matter of fact, it's best served chilled, safe with most medications.
  19. yeah pants without pockets are confusing and sort of unsettling. It's nice to have somewhere to put your hands instead of only letting them dangle down by your side! ow jes, the beauty of browsing discogs to stumble over interesting releases by accident. Nice way to pass time by researching your love, music. good luck with it, hope you find some way to listen to samples, please let us know if and when you do. 'jan-erik
  20. Hey Opiumdude, when I read your thread I got one question in mind, How did you stumble over this release? For me that would be interesting to knøw =) jesh, and if you search around enough you'll find a lot of old odd ones from ie. 93 with the label psy-trance (uselly with other labels like tribal, trance, techno) So like you bought it or what? You still use tight colourful pants from the 70's with swing in em?

    Brüno?

Because it's über geigh? I'm looking forward to DL it when it's availible on DVDrip. Anyone seen the part of MTV Movie Awards where his ass is in Eminem's face? Was funny I assume it was staged, since nothing like this happens without an agreement. But I do suspect it was in his face a tad longer then agreed on. :drama:
  22. In my personal experience, IM is the one act I have been able to put on when there are a lot of other people in the room that can't like dunkdunk mosakk. Most seem to accept and find it interesting to a ceratin level. Well I know what your thread question is about and I agree, they can't seem to get passed the kick-drum. And their ears are rarly capible of hearing the complex layers and turns inside and behind the dunkadunk. It's something like what the king said to Mozart when complaining about the music he made was too complicated, the human ear wasn't able to listen to so many lines or smth. And besides, people seem to like it simple. There are so much more people enjoying Minimal Techno etc then psychedelic trance music. It's slower, easier to handle. Too much information makes them confused and eary. No wonder Full-On made it big Jepp, and who's trying to win it anyway ?
