  1. In the end it's all about nostalgia, as joske said. When you listened and went berzerk on goa from the 90's, you were discovering things. This was accompanied by lots of emotions, friends, a special social life. You were completely absorbed by the new music called goa. Then it went away and much later new school came. But you also got older and the time of experimenting and developing yourself also came to a certain end. I have the same feeling with "normal" trance a la Armin and Tiesto. I went to countless trance raves and one-man dj concerts which all blew me away from 2002-2009. Then the trance started to go really mainstream (yes, even more then it was) and the sound got bland, commercial and too loud for me. But .... the new and young kids love it. They are in the prime of their lives. And they will remember this sound and these parties forever. And they will complain about the new music in 10 years. Nostalgia. It can be bitch. But remember the good times. And listen to the music from the old days from time to time. It was simply THAT good. If you don't like new school goa, leave it and don't listen to it. You will be disappointed and frustrated. Find another music style of which the current sound touches you. I left normal trance for (new school) goa and (deep) progressive house and I'm super happy about that. Guess I'm getting older.
  2. I don't have any trouble with the sound. It's superb as far as I hear. Best track for me: 1001 Reasons Supersonic and warm. Has all the right ingredients for me.
  3. Right now I'm in higher spheres as my headphones are blasting "Power Source - Skywalker (Filteria Remix)" into my ears. What a fantastic trip!!! Oh and Jon, you're so right. The breakbeat intro of Nova Fractals remix of E-Mantra - Afterglow is so tight it's ridiculous.
  4. You're very welcome!. Good sessions should be commented on. You're not going to Fractal Gate 2015 the 8th of may perhaps in Antwerp?
  5. At first listen, Revival sounds like the favorite for me. Blasting and deep!
  6. Thanks for the info! Just dug and found this link here https://soundcloud.com/globalsect/sets/va-the-mystery-of-crystal "Life Support System" sounds fantastic!!
  7. Jagoa's acid blaster is some nice piece of goa, really awesome. Hypnotic like hell. The other tracks, unfortunately, don't do it for me.
  8. Quite an exclusive mix, Joske. Good to hear some golden acid again. And beautifully mixed, I have to add. Nice one!
  9. Hey buddy, sorry for not responding sooner, but I was a bit away from the forum for while. And now I saw this mix of yours. Suntrip, IronSun, ... it immediately drew my attention. What I love about your mix is that there are tracks inside that I would never have remembered until now. You place them in the mix at the right spots so that they complement each other really nice. Eg. Nebula Meltdown, Cymatics. The mix starts off floating with the warmest tracks. Astral Plane, really nice. Perhaps the transition between Cymatics and Antares isn't the best harmonically, but it's smooth and makes the key change disappear. The next transition to Indian Attic is perfectly in key and almost unhearable. Sweetness. This remix is so good. When you hit Cosmic Dimension, things start to speed up and become heavier. I like how the energy is building up here. Holding on harmonically, Celestial Intelligence takes it higher with a great track. With Mindsphere you have paved the way for the finale as we make a significant switch here. all the energy is now in this track. The mix ends in goa mayhem with Innerspace and Filteria. Nicely blended together. Very sweet mix session here, IronSun! Of course, you touched my nerve with the Suntrip catalog. Although I missed an Artifact303 track somewhere in there, you can feel the love for Goa and your skills add up to the whole experience. Great mix and keep it up! ps: I still want to make a second Space Waves of mine, but with two kids at home it's hard to find the time.
  10. Filteria's Sky Input is the album that guided me into the new goa direction many years ago. Without that album I wouldn't even be on this forum. That's how important Filteria is to me and my friends. About his albums, of course I have mixed feelings. Sky Input remains a classic with Galactic Rays as my corner stone. Daze of Our Lives contains Wormhole (oh my fucking god!!!) and Earthrise (oh my fucking other god!!). Then again, while the whole goa scene found Heliopolis too chaotic, I find it his masterpiece. What the hell is wrong with in-your-face goa to the core?! Heliopolis has it all. An ass-ramming you won't forget.
  11. True stand outs: War of the hierophants Valley Of the Kings Gebeleizis Metempsychosis Afterglow ... All his goa albums actually. A true goa hero. Emmanuel, come on, I'm sure you will come back and make super goa again some day.
  12. Very off topic MdK, but you know, I do like some chubbiness, but this is just disgusting dude!
  13. Bioterranean - Daydreaming EP Artist: Bioterranean Title: Daydreaming EP Label: Ovnimoon Records Tracks: 01. Silicone Dreams (Original Mix) 02. Nothing of Privileges (Original Mix) 03. Let Me Fly, You Do Not Control Me (Original Mix) Frankly, the only reason I wanna put a review of Bioterranean's EP here, is the second track "Nothing Of Privileges". Where "Silicone Dreams" and "Let Me fly, you do not control me" are OK psy tracks, with some great samples ("the music just turns me on!" and something from The Matrix), I just can't stop listening to "Nothing Of Privileges". The track is not very long (6m29s), what a shame!, but the buildup, layers of sounds, spirals, hypnotism, a final acid line ... it's fucking ridiculous. And the bass is so tight, you can squeeze tits with it. It's just over and out before you know it. And then you know you've just listened to a super track. Bioterranean is Victor Solsona (part of Hypnoxock or Hypnocock as MdK refers to it, hehe). In my opinion he is better off alone than accompanied. This is a great EP. More of this sir! http://www.psyshop.com/shop/Downloads/ovn/ovn1dw164.html http://classic.beatport.com/release/daydreaming/1463165
  14. What a great win for Neogoa again. Pumping energetic goa with superb production. Clearly this is a talent at work here. Fav tracks: Existence Minds Circus (traaaaaaance!!) Insomnia (eerie, haunting, different, excellent!) Keep up the acid lines, me like a lotta!!
  15. It's a very nice release, especially since its for free and it's very good. Doesn't happen that often. Overall my feel is that "indian sounds" are too prominent. Something I don't like that much. Apart from that, tracks I totally adore are: - Golden Arms Of Kresnik - absolutely stunning energy and flow. a pleasure for the ears. - Metamorphosis Of Veles - a very long track, but due to its story telling format, it doesn't seem that long. So it does what it's supposed to do very well. Now let's hope another album is on its way! Wanna hear more of Lunar Dawn.
  16. Just yesterday I listened again to this album and without a doubt it's the best piece of goa trance for me ever made. Its variety of sounds and warm and hypnotic feeling make it still stand out. Zsolt, when will the second one come out?
  17. The remix of Human History just oozes modern goa trance. Crystal clear and with a natural pumpin' flow. Best one here.
  18. Danny aka LSD is the king of futuristic goa. What a breath of fresh air. Needed this. Fantastic talent here and he is creating some of the most intense goa trance I ever heard. Every track is a journey to space. Props!
  19. Winners of this EP for me are the LSD and Nova Fractal remixes. Superb in every way. Hypnotic and futuristic from LSD and aggressive from Nova. And Timewarp is my favorite label at the moment. Bad ass kicking goa power!
  20. Son Kite is Minilogue? Well I bang my head. didn't know that. And I've been booming their "Island Of If" through my speakers ever since. Wonderful musicians.
  21. Sounds like another winner from the Suntrip stable
