@Tsotsi I know we are on the same level. Haha! Goh yeah, about those favorites. I think you like the real psychedelic tracks. But it's hard to define where these subtle differences in taste come from. That's the beauty of goa.

When Terraformer was released I bought it without thinking. It's global sect, it has big goa names on it and the cover looks so sexy it's incredible. Honesty pushes me to say that I never dived into this compilation. Was it a busy life, were it other albums released at that time that got more attention from me, was the track list too large? I don't know! Fact is that I decided to relisten to some goa albums I never fully embraced. So I uploaded Terraformer to my mp3 player, got into my bed and pushed the play button. Suddenly I was on a beautiful planet floating in deep space. Smiling! Terraformer, where have you been all this time?! Right off the bat, Centavra sets the standard with a warm floating rolling number. Beautiful pads makes me feel right in space. Oh and the voice of Arnold Schwarzenegger/Quaid from Total Recall is just phenomenal! Release of oxygen for the whole planet! Celestial Intelligence's track is ok, but it quite doesn't come up to speed. It just lingers on without any climaxes or surprises. Alienapia is known for chaotic goa messy tracks. And I mean that in a good way. It's all goa swinging around your head and ears. This one is classic Alienapia. Fantastic. A dive into their world of sounds. Lots of sounds. Pure goa. Strange Object by the now famous Centavra Project continues the quality goa story. Nothing to criticise here. Psy-H project delivers a light and sunny track here. But beware, this is complex stuff once you dive into it. Second Alienapia track here doesn't attain the level of superiority the first one had. Some weird stuff can't get my attention. Young old geezer Mindsphere is on speed here. Without a doubt one of the best tracks of this very large compilation. Mindsphere created a track that progressively builds. In the beginning, you think "Mmm, yeah ok". While suddenly the track is already 6 minutes away and you think "Da fuck is this??". Suddenly you're in complete madness. Phenomenal track. Master at work. Javi & Skooma fill the gap with an ok track. The track passed by me very fast. Can't say I was blown away. Omnivox on the other hand kept my attention from start to finish. Extremely lush and trancy track that evokes emotion. Very well done. And very well needed amongst those other goa monsters. Sykespico's track must be the black sheep or the weirdest thing on this comp. Love it or hate it. It's definitely "different" and funny at times with the classical arrangements, but let's say I don't love it. I'm sure their upcoming album will be great. It's a great project. Just not this track. Magician Sergey Petrenko alias Median Project in the cockpit!! Yeah! You just know it's gonna be good. Have you checked his album on Suntrip? Classic already. Mad Space is yet one more goa Sergey pulls out of his sleeve. Top quality, top arrangement and top story telling. Maybe a bit dense at times, but it works! Atlantis is a project I'm keeping my eye on very closely. Mister George from Greece has the skills to create warm and hypnotising tracks. Here he shoots acid and synth stabs it's ridiculous. Fingerlicking good! Fiery Dawn's original track Searching For UFO's was in my cd player just a day ago. The guy does spit out a lot of music these days. But I couldn't help feeling hungry. His productions and track structures are just not up to par with the rest of the new gang. But he's working, that's for sure. Median Project remixes this track and immediately you get something different. Quality remix. Although the outer space signals remain a bit corky. Scandinavian trance now! Clementz likes it hard. It's a mindfuck without pauses. Morphic Resonance style. So ... good! Omneon - Indian Walk is that kind of track that you re-listen after all these years and you're ashamed you never praised it. It hits hard, bangs goa melodies and harsh sounds out of the speakers and leaves you numb on the floor. Unforgettable. A wall of sound. Atlantis doesn't disappoint with A journey out of your mind. Maybe not his best, but hell, it stands out from the rest. He knows his game. Sounds just good. Median project - third element is floating though space like the USS enterprise. Median = excellent fun. Cianendeon by Skarma shoots me back to my "normal trance" years. Lush pads and euphoric melodies. Sweet. But this is fucking goa! Way better than any so-called trance nowadays. Go Skarma! Fiery Dawn pushed back the throttle with his Vibrating universe. Well done, trancy, very laid back intermezzo. Nothing crazy. It's hard to be among other goa monsters. Same for Zopmanika. While it's a maniacal track, I heard better things on Terraformer. Still ok though. The majestic intro of Raving Universe's Ascension grabs you right by the balls. Add a fierce kick and this is a belter! Climax after climax this is crazy shit! So good. So freaking good. It's spinning in orbit around Saturn at ludicrous speed. :p Gaura Nitay by Psy-H is unadulterated goa trance. Raw, aggressive, and without remorse. Nothing beats a good Centavra track. Journey To Another World is lovely. Warm acid bubbles, smooth synths and a rolling bassline. What more do you want?? Climaxes? Check! Centavra's tracks excel in warmth and deepness. 9m19 minutes. Too short. :D Buddy Atlantis is back with his last track Space Mantra on the comp. And he doesn't give in on quality. This is top notch production, a goa trance showcase. I feel an album arising!! Acid style is in the house with Cosmic Dimensions remix of MWNN Possessed. Man, again this comp goes on like a train. No mercy. What an energising and electrifying track. A nitzho kick drives the Mindsphere track forward. This is a galaxy of trance. Stars shine and nebulas unfold. Such a beautiful track. Some chord changes add more lightness to the track. My hero Artifact303 is back with a crystal clear star shooting goa weapon. Gradually he adds layers and layers until a wealth of goa sounds hypnotises you. The man still got the touch. The last part is a collection of downtempo tracks. I haven't dived into this as well as I have with the uptempo part. Psy-H Krishna or Maya makes me think of the good old New Beat rage in Belgium. Slow hard beats. But now with lots of psychedelica. Katedra is present with his known machine-like industrial sounds. So good. The other tracks are very good as well and the disc is a well compiled set of chill tracks. Conclusion: Almost 5 (!!!) hours of the best goa trance there is right now. Should be an instant buy. Global Sect is on a roll.

Glad I got the CD, because it is a great piece of chill music. Quality production by Jerome as usual. It combines light and dark together, but you feel the goa vibe everywhere. Albeit in a chill environment. This one's gonna be in my downtempo list of 2019. :D -
I hope this year many more people will vote, because this list is so full of good music to discover. Like Unknownium. This album completely slipped by me. Listening to it now and I'm amazed! That downtempo list is also gold. So difficult to find good downtempo. Here's a shortlist.

All welcome. I accidentally uploaded those excel images, but I can't figure out how to delete them, haha.

I'm re-listening to this release for a couple of days now. Honestly, it still stands out on top. Cristian is and has always been on the forefront of power goa trance. All of these tracks burst of energy and euphoria. The amount of layers is incredible and it feels just so good. Wonderful album here. A classic for me already.

I was going to wait till I listened to it 100 times, but after 20 times I think I'm getting the feel. This is one of the best goa trance I have ever heard. We already had a great share of good music and amazing artists, but Median is right up there. Shining. Where his album on Global Sect was also very good, Constellation has enormous depth, euphoric layers, and fantastic balanced frequencies. I'm very happy to hear that Sergey tuned down the snares and claps, which were very present in his previous work. I'm listening to parts of Constellation every day. In my bed, in the car, ... He manages to transform a whole idea into music. Only given to the most talented. Every track is a space journey. Every track puts a smile on your face. Very good review Tsotsi! Constellation deserves that. We will look back and confirm year after year that Constellation is a milestone in Goa history. I'm sure of that. Grab it while you can!

Goddamn, I'm finally listening to this in full. Simply astonishing. Dark, aggressive, and yet so immersive. I was afraid I would find it too dark, but I'm in the mood now and liking it a lot. Vektogram and Twisted Reality are fantastic. The amount of layers he uses is immense. A lot of work has had to be put into this album. Respect!

Artist: Acid Destroyers Title: Monsters And Mad Man EP Label: Spacedock records Release date: May 15, 2019 Tracklist: 1. Acid Destroyers - Universal Language 08:16 2. Acid Destroyers - Ohm Devil 09:14 3. Acid Destroyers - Monsters and Mad Man 07:24 Things are going good in Goa land. You wouldn't say this judging by the number of posts in the review section, but the music is going strong these days. This collab on Spacedock records between Goa Madness founder Ohm Mind and Laughing Space Devil from Switzerland shows that they're on a creative cloud. Acid Destroyers deliver three solid fast paced, dense, acid goa tracks. The duo is aiming for dancefloor material. Stuff to get your head around deep in the night times. No doubt, they succeeded in their mission. It's addictive multi layered goa in your face with a phat beat. Can't wait to see them in november. Get this release for a bargain. It delivers. Same as Penzoline. I adore T-shirts. Even when they're not free. But usually the prints/drawings are too large. E.g. I love Global Sects artwork and their t-shirts fluorescence like * fucking major *. But the prints are too large. More subtlety would have benefit the outcome. Other labels have good kick ass prints, like 303 Syndroms by Mammomam. But the shirt doesn't fluorescence as it should. It's always something. -

Artist: E-Mantra Title: Tartarus Label: Melusine Date: February 2019 Format: DIgital 1. Solomonar 06:40 2. Tartarus 07:50 3. Dark corners of the Universe (Neurosect Chaotic Mix) 07:46 4. Wrath of the nomads (Live Version) 08:26 5. Baktun Vision Serpent 05:33 Out of the blue E-Mantra is back with a full blown goa release/EP. What's new here? Many things. The new tracks on this EP show a new side of E-Mantra. E-Mantra 2.0 if you wish. More structure, new sounds, still E-Mantra. Just a tad different. Solomonar delights with a pounding intro and heads up to the tiny break at 3.40. From then on it builds again upto a stunning climax. Fluid and organic. Wonderful. The hollow synths in the beginning of Tartarus are addictive and very original. The bassline is one of the most clear and cutting basslines I've ever heard. E-Mantra really puts a stamp on his tracks now, and that's different. The tracks have a personality. The track shoots acid in space as it goes on. The orgasmic stuff is reached around 5.20 and it's stunning! What a satisfactory track. Nothing but fun. Pure fun! The hollow synths from the beginning interlude the end. Wow. Next up is the Neurosect remix of Dark Corners Of The Universe. Although it's a fine remix, the full-on'ish bassline kills it for me. I'll prefer the original at any time. Wrath Of The Nomads is the Live version of the track found on the album Nemesis. I can't really hear the difference between the album version. But that can be me. Goa is already complex. It's difficult to find subtle differences. Still a fantastic track though. Baktun Vision Serpent is the last track and also a new fresh one. The galloping psy bassline scares me first, but gradually the track is nicely built around it. Then classic E-Mantra is back to build a spacey goa journey. Pure trance in the end. The first two tracks is why this release is remarkable. E-Mantra plays with other knobs and layers and it works so well. More structure, more climaxes. I don't know if this is a sign or not, but I hope it's the beginning of more E-Mantra. Very well done! Peace brother. Bandcamp buy link
